Tryvge Hakon
Senator of Wroona
LOCATION: THEED, Naboo
Tryvge Hakon sits in his office on Theed, Naboo. There's a massive stack of The High Republic Senate papers sitting on the left of his ornate desk. A datapad seems to be constantly blowing up to his right. He mostly ran for the Republic Senate seat because it had a better pension than what Wroona offered plus a bigger ego boost, but here he is.
He's a charismatic guy—at least that's what he tells himself. Last night's overindulgence on Merenzane Gold still hangs over him like a dark cloud. He regrets promising a journalist he'd open his office to the public as soon as he was elected, but it's better to do a poor job than lie, right?
He hasn't bothered to check the schedule. He has no idea what it looks like. All he knows is he has a full day of appointments and meetings with constituents, businesspeople, politicians and whoever the hell else bothers to show up. It sounds like hell and he feels like hell, but its only about 0855. The thought of surviving this day sounds impossible, but at least he has a lunch break. He reminds himself: just put on a pretty smile, promise some random things and agree with these people. In politics, they will care way more about your impression than if you actually follow through on whatever short-sighted legislation they want proposed. Who knows? Maybe one of these appointments will actually turn up a business meeting worth his time?
His hands move to steady his face and he tries to reinvigorate his eyes. He debates a dose of spice, but it's better to suck it up and be halfway asleep at these meetings than risk a real scandal. At least the security is airtight here on Naboo, so he shouldn't have to worry about any dangerous intruders, just idiotic ones.
His staffer asks him if he's ready. He halfway nods.
"Send them in," he says with a weak gesture towards the door.
OOC: This thread is open to anyone that wants to interact and talk to the newly-elected Senator of Wroona. Any sort of violence would need to be heavily warranted due to the strong security forces on Naboo.
