Confused, Lost but Wandering

Mysa began to attempt opening the hangar when from behind came the sound of blaster fire. She swiveled to see only too late that the Valkyri had gone down with the rest. Inhaling through her nose, she did her best to remain calm... But it wasn't easy.

The young girl may have been classed as a Jedi, but for the past seven years of her life she had lived quietly on Midvinter alongside her family - not on Voss. She had been taught the Valkyri way, not the Jedi way. And while the latter was something she would be expected to change now that she was old enough to truly begin training, right now her loyalty to the High King and the people of Midvinter won out.

She may have had a lightsaber and a lightsided presence, but she was not a true Jedi. Not yet.

"You killed him? He was not yours to kill. His fate was for the High King to decide."

But it was over, done with. If there were any more Valkyri involved then hopefully the old man would make sure they were detained and not slaughtered needlessly. Helm give her strength... She really did hope there were no more Valkyri involved.

Stepping over to the downed body of the large Valkyri, young Snowstrider took a moment to kneel in the dirt and mutter a quiet prayer of passing. The Gods were ever present, even on strange worlds such as these. They would hear.

Finally, together, they approached the hangar.

"I wouldn't kill them, that's not the person I strive to be." She was a healer at heart, not a fighter. Death was so final. "I apologize for my actions back there, Master Jedi, but that man had turned his back on all his people deemed sacred, he had gone against his King and his Gods. I could not let that go unnoticed."

Jan looked between the two Jedi and stood still while processing the older Jedi's request. Jan turned to the girl and cocked his head. He didn't understand why the girl was so upset about the Valkyri's death. That man had broken his people's code, and his own religion. Why spare him? Jan just did a mental shrug and got back to the matter at hand.

".....You want me to be honest? I don't like your request, and would prefer to kill all that scum in the hanger. Elimiates possibilities of them coming back around and trying to regain some sort or revenge on myself. I't better to eliminate a problem before it arises and kraks you later. I have learned that the hard way. But....I know it is not wise to anger Jedi, especially this young one right here. So, I agree to your terms. I will not kill any person that offers resistance. I will disable them. Which means I will break bones, aim for the legs or arms, and restrain them. That good enough?" Jan said.

Peritus looked down to Mysa as she replied to his previous statements said earlier on. He was slightly but not completely satisfied that Mysa had admitted her anger got the best of her. The mention of gods and kings seemed to make him wary but nonetheless a Jedi has to respect others believes in the end. Taking any life through one's own actions brings an unbalanced tension in the atmosphere, for everyone involved in such acts. Peritus to some extent saw the points Jan made in how criminals not dealt with can rise back up again. On that note however, there are always alternatives than going for the kill which in his mind was easy and quick method out of a sticky situation. He gave Mysa a nod, showing some appreciation that the young girl respected the ways of the Jedi he upholds to this day and age.

"As long as you don't cause severe wounds to any individuals that display resistance to us in freeing the creatures and you finding your targets." He replied to Jan's question.

He looked around the hangar door entrance, watching for any potential dangers lurking in the shadows and crowds of civilians before the trio. He too, looked around the entrance to find an access panel to let them gain entry in finding the creatures Mysa wanted freed. Nothing so far that'd allow anyone to open up the doorway to access the cargo ship containing the animals kept in cages most likely knowing Smugglers. The skyscraper building was a perfect hideout for anyone to store valuables from the public's eyes. Shady deals could be made within these hangar facilities, something that perhaps Jan wanted to get in on or put a stop to certain competition. Make his own trade standout more than anyone else fighting for connections perhaps. He turned back to keep watch and guard the area whilst he allowed the other two to find access somewhere.

"I'll keep a lookout, you seem to know more about this group than I, young one. Be careful." Peritus said to Mysa.

They had reached the hangar. Now it was just a matter of getting inside and finding the ship. She could feel the presence of the Vhaanir and knew that they were close... But who else was on the other side? Mysa was not certain.

As she approached the main entrance the door opened, and on the other side stood another who had been looking to exit. He froze for a second, looking between the three strangers, and then past them to the bodies, before his fingers twitched toward his blaster.

Mysa had no love of violence. She was a healer at heart, after all, she sought to protect and defend... Not to harm.

Instead she lightly waved a hand. "You will let us pass, and forget what you just saw."

There was a firm certainty in her tone, and seconds later the man mumbled the same few words and turned to walk away - his blaster long forgotten.

They wouldn't have long, she knew. Mind trick wasn't going to work on everyone, for all she knew there was a Forcie in here, or an Epicanthix. No they had to hurry.

Luckily the ship was in view, and she knew that they lay within. Perhaps it was time for a little grand theft auto. She and Théo had once done so on Voss, just to test out piloting for themselves... No damage had been done, though Valiens hadn't been too happy with them.

"Let's go."
