TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Long-range firepower
  • High resistance to slicing attempts
  • High resistance to mass driver/HVC attacks
  • High resistance to ion/EMP attacks
  • Stealth long-range MIRVs
  • Molecular shields
  • Can field multiple squadrons
  • Can cross interdiction fields
WEAKNESSES
  • Cannot enter atmosphere or land on a planet
  • Very slow and very sluggish to maneuver
  • Command ship: if a Compellor was to go down, a fleet may lose coordination due to the presence of prominent chain of command figures onboard, especially true in Otherspace combat
  • Limited point-defense ammunition
  • Exposed command tower: even though it's less of a problem than on Victory-class and Imperator-class ships and its numerous variants produced, due to the shield generators being inside the superstructure, it's still a problem with the Compellor
  • Exposed underside hangar bays
  • Exposed tailfin
DESCRIPTION
The Compellor-II received some refits, such as an increase in hangar space, with each of the ventral hangars now being able to service one full wing of fighters, each and also the removal of these old MIRV tubes, whose ammunition was deemed unwieldy, and also the streamlining of the long-range firepower. In addition, a heavy tractor beam was installed at the cost of the removing Otherspace capabilities, deemed too risky due to the hazards of a Compellor falling into Charon hands.

Much of the features were retained, along with the weaknesses that these entail: as with most ships of that size, the Compellor is very slow, and also features exposed ventral hangar bays, as well as an exposed tailfin. Nevertheless, the Compellor is capable of bringing in two corps' worth of troops for a system campaign, or even a sector campaign, and also with the ability to provide care on a large scale, thanks to its vast array of medical equipment onboard. Finally, since Compellors are expected to serve as command ships, if a Compellor goes down in combat, the fleet under its care will quickly fall into disarray.

  • Hangar Space: High: 21
  • Hangar Allocations:
    • Starfighters: 18 squadrons
    • Support Craft: 3 squadrons

Please note that we round down when working out hangar ratings. 2900m would therefore become 2500m. As shown below, a high rating would therefore net you a overall total 18 squadrons rather than 21.

2500m [Base: 3 | Very Low: 6 | Low: 10 | Average: 14 | High: 18 | Very High: 22 | Extreme: 25]
3000m [Base: 3 | Very Low: 7 | Low: 12 | Average: 16 | High: 21 | Very High: 25 | Extreme: 30]
I recommend simply bumping the vessel's size to 3000m, but if you want to cut down the count you have already, that is acceptable as well.
