Commenor; Drowning.

From out of the void of hyperspace, the UT-60D U-Wing Gunship snapped into the nearby orbit of the Trade-world of Commenor, closing the FTL channel immediately with the release of the Gunship's hyper-drive motivator leaving silence to befall the view from the cockpit. Seated within the primary pilots seat, strapped fast to the bucket like throne with the controls in hand, Caedyn Arenais took in the sight of his home-world still surrounded by various ships of all sizes, all loyal to the Sith Empire and the Dark Lord, Darth Carnifex.

The youngest male of the Royal Family had recently had his newest ship dwarfed by the grandiose giant that his Father had commissioned, The Resolute Stardestroyer for which remained in deep space yet served as the mobile operations center for the resistance of Commenor today. In preparation for this high-risk venture that Caedyn had undertaken without his father's approval nor even his awareness, the Peace-Keeper's navigational records had been erased, as well as any pivotal data that might lead back to Veiere Arenais, or even give off a scent of it's affiliation to both the royal family, or the Silver Jedi Order.

Caedyn had grown tired of waiting to see what would come of his family; his Mother remained on their home-world under the careful watch of the Sith Empire and without any word to or from her children, the young boy had taken matters into his own hands and possibly even dirtied the hands of [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] whom would either choose to remain on-board for the sake of a quick getaway, or come with him in the hope of making contact with [member="Lady Kay"] and if even remotely possible, getting her free.

Beside him, in the co-pilots chair however was his faithful droid, LK-EX1000 (or otherwise known as Lexas). Through contacts of his fathers, those from all corners of the Galaxy, they had acquired a false set of IFF transponder codes, these of which would match an old gun-boat of the long time Galactic Empire. Fortunately, the former Grand-Moff, Tanomas Graf whom now resided within the First Order, had once been a friend and ally of Commenor and as such, given their Imperial nature, was far less likely to arouse suspicion on their infiltration and entry to the trade-world. It was Lexas who had been placed in charge of communicating with inbound flight control officer whom would no doubt seek to know there business on Commenor.

Asaraa hadn’t been to Commenor more than a handful of times in the past, but each time it had been a pleasant experience, a green jewel in space that had been open and welcoming. Had been, the world they had jumped into now was a far cry from that, the entire world seemed to exude sadness, the scar where the Sith had destroyed a city still stood out, as a jagged wound in the very structure of the planet. Even the feeling of the force that surrounded the planet exuded that sadness, that cold darkness that felt like icicles slipping down soul.

The girl shifted in her seat, glancing out of the view screen at the sith fleet that hung around the planet like a heavy collar, their very presence imposing and grasping, a symbol of the tyranny spreading across the galaxy. What was of a more immediate concern to the girl was the fact that the all those ships had sensors quartering space, again and again, examining each and every ship travelling through space around the planet. Settling back in her seat Asaraa glanced over at her friend in the pilot’s seat, eyes flicking nervously to the controls and then back to him. “So…I know I’ve asked this before…but you’re sure your dad’s friends can be trusted? I’d hate for us to come all this way just to get caught before we even manage to land on the planet…are we gonna go in through a secret passage, all palaces have secret passages right?”

She’d brought her gear and her weapons but…they were meant to be slipping under the radar so they’d all be staying on the ship along with her combat outfit. Instead, a ship suit and travel pouch were all the gear she’d be needed to fit in with the crowd as they made their way towards the palace, just another set of travellers making their way through the city to see what opportunities they could find.

Kay was starting to get cabin fever. Of course the Royal Palace was a large place to wander in, but even then she was starting to feel too confined. Maybe it was the crimson guards that continuously stood sentry and followed her. Or maybe it was the knowledge is knowing that all of the passageways and tunnels in and around the Palace were sealed, including those in her office and bedchambers. So if there was some emergency, the exits were limited.

She sipped her tea as she walked the hallway, flanked by guards that weren't really guarding her so much as they were keeping watch over all of her movements and conversations. Kay's assistant Olivia had done her best to set up a regular schedule for her; one that would give the guards, [member="Darth Interitus"] and others a routine that they could expect her to follow. It was decided a short time ago that this was the better option. Not only did it give Kay some sense of normalcy, but it gave her the option of flexibility as well.

Her brows furrowed a little as she had caught a hint of familiarity through the Force. No longer did she surpress her ability, especially once the injection that blocked her access had worn off. Everyone that the Sith Empire had brought to the Palace knew of her sensitivity, so there was no need to hide it. Besides, she saw so few of visitors that it didn't really matter anymore.

Kay focused on the Force while she walked, searching for that familiarity and wanting to examine it further. It took a few moments, but she got the answer that she was looking for. And it made her heart sink. "Oh no..." Spoken under her breath, the words didn't seem to cause any reaction by the guards that flanked her. She waited a few seconds. "Nevermind. False alarm. I think that I may just need some fresh air." Not to mention some privacy too! Maybe in the hedge maze she could find it.

Caedyn Arenais turned to glance warily back to [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] with something of a rather unconvincing half-smirk, both a hint of guilt and uncertainty in sheepish display written across his face. "Well, to be honest I didn't exactly tell him what we're doing" he gave a small shrug, turning to look back to Lexas as the droid spoke into his headset in response to their being hailed by one of the Sith Vessels. "Affirmative, Sir. Relaying transpoder clearance now..." the droid spoke fluently in formal language, his mechanical tone leaving out any hint of doubt of insecurity that someone of sentient make might otherwise give themselves away.

As the droid went about it's business sending the appropriate codes back to the Officer on the other end of the communications link, Caedyn Arenais removed himself from the pilots seat and slipped on passed Asaraa, seeking the more spacious room in the personnel cabin out back. It was there that he had stored some of his belongings. Rather than looking like one of the Jedi however, he had changed into his more casual Attire before they had departed from his fathers flagship, taking with him his CS.38 which was nestled safely within the holster against his hip. The Slug-Thrower Pistol something of a unique weapon in the hands of the boy who had for the most part always tried to avoid taking a life. It held an alternative fire-mode for incapacitating his foes, though since the Siege of Commenor he had been thinking more upon the likelihood of having to put someone down with it one day.

From the Storage compartment however he removed his Lightsaber and Buckler, placing the latter over his back, the strap crossing his shoulders while his hilt he hid on the inside of his leather jacket so to ensure it wasn't easily spotted and thus identifying the boy as a Force-User. For as long as possible, the point of this venture was to remain undetected and unnoticed while they sought to gather information and find his Mother, [member="Lady Kay"].

"Sir, we're beginning our descent now. By all accounts, I think we're in the clear Master Caedyn" the words of his droid came over the intercom in the rear room and caused Caedyn to smile in relief. Already he could feel a shift in the repulsorlift thrusters as well as the acceleration of their aft thrusters as the Gunship began to enter the Trade-World's orbit. "No turning back now then..." He muttered to himself. He didn't bother to return to the cockpit however, Lexus knew what to do and would pilot the vessel while Caedyn and by the looks of it Asaraa too would step out into the Sith Occupied world.

“You…didn’t tell him?” The girl slumped down in her seat with an audible grain, one hand coming up to rest on her temple as she rolled her head around to glare at her friend. “You know if we survive this then you owe me a trip to somewhere that has a slightly nicer view than a fleet of killer starships,” she warned the boy as he slipped past her, her free hand reached up to tug at her hair, winding the loose strands through her fingers as she stared out of the window at the planet that grew ever larger in the viewscreen. She could hear Caedyn bustling around behind her as she pulled her feet up, resting her chin on her knees as she bit down on the soft flesh of her lower lip. Last time they’d been on the planet the two of them had barely made it off the planet alive, and now they were going back of their own accord. “We must be crazy.”

Asaraa could feel the repulsor’s kicking in as the ships slipped down through the atmosphere, the surface of the vessel glowing with friction for a moment as Lexus swiftly guided the vehicle down through the atmosphere towards their assigned berth. “We’re pulling this off, I have no idea how you did it but we actually survived. Well the first part of this anyway.” The girl slapped at her harness, the belts coming undone as she straightened, stretching out a moment before she reached for the gunbelts she’d slung over the back of her seat. The girl’s fingers flicked over the pair of pistols secured there, hearing the hum of the weapons powering up the lights indicating a complete power supply as she settled the belts around her hips, slipping a set of knives into the sheathes settled around her body the girl grinned at Caedyn. “Well, you look just like any normal spacer, we should fit right in. Just like the first time.” The girl’s gaze softened a little, one hand reaching out to rest on her friend’s shoulder. “You gonna be ok? I know we’re trying to get to your mum, but this is your city, your planet and this is the first time we’ve been back…”

Kay continued down the hallway with the footfalls of two guards flanking behind her. They were silent as ever, with no emotion readable behind their helmets. The guards were annoying and an ever present reminder of her situation. If only she had a shielding system that protected the entire planet...But hindsight was twenty-twenty.

She was sure to head towards the door that would lead her to the gardens, as opposed to the front entrance. There were less security protocols for her to go through. Sure Kay was allowed to head off into Chasin City, but there was so much paperwork and scheduling involved. It was just easier to remain on the property.

Kay paused as she opened the door and stepped outside, letting the cool breeze gently blow her hair from her face. Outside was freedom, and it smelled good, it felt good. With the guards in tow, she continued on to the gardens. The hedgemaze was her favourite place to walk. The middle of it held a couple of benches around a big old tree, a place that was not uncommon for her to sit and meditate at.

[member="Caedyn Arenais"] was somewhere nearby. She felt him, but couldn't pinpoint him. He hadn't been caught by the Sith yet, for if he was she'd of known. The members of the Sith Empire love to gloat about such things and she knew that he'd be used against her. So the fact that she had heard nothing of the sort made her believe that he was still free.

Kay moved through the maze, not trying to lose her guards at all. At least not yet. She'd lose them to sleep when she got to the center. The tracer inbedded within her was still active, though it's strength was fading. So her movements were kept within her fixed schedule. It left little to alert the Sith by.

Hopefully she'd be in contact with someone that she could trust soon.

Caedyn appreciated the concern, though his mind was focused on what lay ahead of them and not the attack and failure to protect their home that had resulted in the death of so many millions; he couldn't think about such things now, they'd only distract him from the possible contact with his Mom. Turning to look back up to [member="Asaraa Vaashe"], he nodded lightly and smiled a little in appreciative manner. "I'll be alright Asaraa...-Even if we can't actually get to her, if Mom see's us down there then she'll know that others will have survived as well. The least we can do is give her hope...-Though that's if she's not strung up in the cells beneath the Palace. I don't really like the idea of going through those tunnels again..." it was a grim thought considering the bodies that he imagined would have been left buried under the rubble of what the Sith had more than destroyed in their conquest over Commenor.

"As for being crazy, you followed me..." He chuckled quietly under his breath, standing back up to his feet and turning to face her, his left hand gesturing back to the cockpit of the Gunship, speaking as they re-entered the head of the ship and soon came into the view of the skies over Chasin City. "And if we're lucky, the Sith won't think we're this stupid. They won't expect it...".

Touching down upon one of the public landing bays of the Chasin City Star-Port, Caedyn took the lead in moving down the loading ramp and out into the open air. Both his Spacer Attire as well as his youth made Caedyn look far less like the royalty that he was and more like a casual Teen who'd come into a bit of coin enough to own his own ship. By his side, Asaraa Vaashe could be taken as his partner (in whatever context the locals sought to think), s'long as they were discouraged from identifying the two of them. Reaching back, Caedyn pulled his hood up over his head, an additional layer to help disguise himself from recognition by any authoritarian figures, namely the Sith.

"Glad we got Lexus on-board...-Pretty hard to tell if a droid's lying to you or not. Especially if they're obeying the orders of the ones that own them" Caedyn grinned to the girl before setting off in the direction of the open streets and soon, the Royal Palace buried within the heart of the Capital City.

Home sweet home...

“I mean someone has to stick around to get you out of trouble, otherwise, force knows where you’d end up.” The girl fell silent for a moment before glancing over at Caedyn, “I don’t think anyone would ever think that we’re crazy enough to just fly onto the planet when you must be what, one of the top 5 wanted criminals on the planet.” Asaraa let her hand drop down to rest on the blaster pistol resting on her hip as she tilted her head to the side as if considering him. “You know…I’ve always wondered about a career as a bounty hunter…just how much do you think you’re actually worth to the Sith cause last time we were on planet that was this really cute dress and I think your bounty should just about cover it.” The girl let her hand rest there for just one more moment before sticking her tongue out at Caedyn, winking at the boy before she turned on one heel, sauntering back to her seat and settling back down for landing. “I don’t think they’d need to keep her in the cells, not now, I mean if they want to keep her under control then there are better ways than throwing her in a cell. Although, it would make it a lot easier to find her and get her out, they’re not going to have so many guards on her if she’s in a cell right.”

The rest of the trip down passed without incident, much to the girl’s surprise, Lexus easily talking his way around the customs officials to secure them a berth in the spaceport. A spaceport which, while not completely dead was a far cry from its heyday. “I don’t know, it might have been worth it just to see you try to smooth talk your way past that customs official.” The girl settled her scarf around her neck, falling into step just behind Caedyn, squinting at the city streets. “So…just checking cause you remember what happened last time I was here…you’re sure you know the way right?”

Chasin City looked the same, for the most part, only the people roaming the streets looked tired and wary. The storefronts and buildings that he and [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] would pass, still held signs of the conflict that had ensued and the damage to the Capital had yet to be fully repaired. Parts of the streets were torn up from what he could only imagine to have been explosive ordinance and heavy vehicles that had moved in to take the Palace. The new authoritarian presence that had overtaken the former Commenor Security Force that were once led by his Uncle [member="Darlyn Excron"], now wore the armor and colors of the Sith Empire, their faces hidden behind staunch helms that were clearly meant to instill fear in those around them rather than comfort the civilian mass with the feeling of security and protection. Oppression, was the word that came to mind...

"For the most part, yeah..." Caedyn replied to Asaraa quietly as they rounded the first corner and took to moving with the crowd, all the while Caedyn keeping his eyes low and seeking not to make eye contact with anyone, least they recognize his face hidden beneath the hood; "It all just...Feels different, that's all" he added, though his Force Signature he sought to dull down in the case that the Imperium Security had Force Users among their ranks.

Caedyn still had his doubts that they'd actually make it to his Mom's position, though he knew the layout of the Palace intimately, certainly thanks to the last months while his Master [member="Asha Hex"] had been absent and he had spent time between Kashyyyk and Commenor, helping [member="Lady Kay"] with diplomatic works and actually showing his face to the people in a light expected of an heir to the seat of Commenor and the Systems Alliance as a whole.

"We'll try for the Northern Entrance...-It leads into the back of the grounds, Mom's favorite place was always the Gardens where her and Dad used to spend time together. She talked about those days a lot".

It was easy to pretend to be an ordinary visiting spacer, the oppressive gaze of the sith security forces was enough to drive anyone to slinking away and trying their best to avoid the security teams scrutiny. Exactly the same reaction as the same reaction that two Jedi slipping onto Commenor might just have. It was almost enough to bring a wry smile to Asaraa’s face, almost. Instead the girl took a step closer to Caedyn, resting one hand on his shoulder as she gave the Sith what amounted to a worried look before the crowd managed to sweep them away from the patrol.

A pair of blue eyes settled on the boy before they swept around the city street, “It looks the same, but it’s not the same city, not really. Not since the Sith arrived, people don’t seem to be as willing to hang around in the streets anymore...” The girl let her voice trail off as she bit her lip, she could remember the last time she was here, the shoppers and salesmen who had filled the streets, the children and their parents on the way to the parks or just walking. There was none of that now, the pedestrian’s that did find their way onto the street were staring at the ground, unwilling to meet anyone’s eyes for fear they may attract unwarranted attention. Without meaning to Asaraa found the cold feeling of fear sending icicles down her spine as she stepped closer to her friend, taking comfort in his presence.

“The north entrance it is, besides, if we come out in the back of the grounds there should be less protected. We should be able to sneak into the palace from there and find your mother if she’s not in the grounds.” She offered him a grin, “I bet they wouldn’t be expecting anyone to actually be inside the palace, hopefully we can sneak behind their guards now. Getting out, now that's going to be interesting.”

It didn't take Kay very long to get to the center of the hedge maze. She knew the route well. Sure she left a few marks to help her along the way a long time ago, but now she barely needed to look down to the ground to find them. The pebbled arrows were still there, but she hardly noticed them now.

Within the center of the maze, the old tree stood full of leaves and of life. The flowers had long since passed, but it smelled lovely in there. The breeze caught the thin branches, causing them to sway gently. It was calming and perfect in there. A nice spot to help her to forget what had transpired on Commenor.

Kay sat down at the trunk of the tree in the lotus position and closed her eyes. She took in a deep breath and released it slowly, opening herself up fully to the Force. She felt the guards that had trailed her and now stood sentry. Gently she probed into their minds and nudged them into a light sleep. A couple of thunks was heard as they fell over against the hedges, which brought a slight smile to her face.

Now she was fully alone. And fully safe. It was strength that she needed, along with some wisdom. Hopefully the Force could help provide both.

"It doesn't feel like the Home I grew up in at all..." Caedyn replied, his eyes glancing to each passerby, noting their rather swift pace and their eyes more often to the ground rather than holding their heads up high and proudly as they once had so long ago before the Siege. From what he could tell as they moved along the side-walk, many of the larger intersections had at-least one guard post for which the new security division under the Sith Regime seemed to be keeping a close watch on the people, likely making sure to report any hint of discontent that it might deter rebellion from within the City limits.

[member="Asaraa Vaashe"] surprised Caedyn a little as he felt her hand touch upon her shoulder and she seem to withdraw closer to him; following her line of sight, he noted the Sith Enforcer and spoke quietly under his breath to Asaraa in the hope of reassuring her. "S'long as we don't do anything stupid and make a scene, we'll be alright...-They're not looking for us", or at-least not yet they weren't. Caedyn was indeed thankful that Asaraa had come with him, he had prepared to do this on his own yet she had always had his back for reasons that weren't exactly clear. They had met here in this City, and then a second time when Caedyn sought the security of Kashyyyk and the advice of the Jedi. It was a friendship that had certainly grown on him, though he hadn't necessarily done anything to earn the loyalty and consideration she so often gave him. Now however, he couldn't help but feel slightly guilty for dragging her into all this...-She could've been back with the Jedi after-all.

cae_breaker_by_kioxes-dc8yrxo.png
The rear of the Palace ground remained guarded, though not nearly as much so as the front and Caedyn fortunately knew a number of ways to sneak in and out without having had alerted his Mother's people back when they were still in charge and running the show. With Asaraa at his side, he led her to point in the properties fence-line that due to the depression in the earth beneath their feet, offered a larger space with which they could crawl under to enter into the Royal Gardens.

"I'll go first..." He spoke softly to Asaraa, giving her a confident nod; "If it's clear, I'll call you over...-I know the area pretty well. Mom used to come here a lot and it was easier to get around without somebody watching. She taught me that. Bit of a mistake on her part" he grinned quickly before kneeling to the ground floor and trying to peer under in case there were Guards nearby on the other-side. Only once he was certain, did he began to squeeze through the gap beneath the fence, finding it rather more difficult than it used to be...-Though he was a little older nowadays.

Moving to press his side against the hedge-line, Caedyn moved on ahead a little just in case there might be a patrol of some sort coming their way. As of yet he couldn't see anything, nor could he spot any sort of security devices nearby. Hopefully the Sith hadn't put too much effort into securing the area for the sake of [member="Lady Kay"]'s privacy, though it never hurt to be paranoid considering they loved to upset people. It didn't take him long to return to the fence-line and call Asaraa on through.

From where they were, the Maze was closer than the Royal Palace was, though trying to keep their presence in the Force as low as possible in order to avoid detection, Caedyn hadn't yet reached out to see if he could sense his Mother's location. In his mind, it was only natural that she'd be locked up like any typical prisoner would be to the Sith.

[member="Lady Kay"] | [member="Asaraa Vaashe"]

[SIZE=10.5pt]"They aren't looking for us yet," the girl corrected without thinking, a sign of her worry as she did her very not to look at the security guards, not to have any presence in the force, bless Jairdain for teaching her how to cloak herself. Asaraa knew from the security operations she'd been in that someone staring stubbornly ahead refusing eye contact with anyone stood out in a crowd, the last thing they wanted was the undue attention. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]It took a tremendous amount of will to force her shoulders to relax, her body to walk with a natural gait instead of a tensed up robotic step. Face a horde of Sith troopers head-on, that was easy to do but this, the uncertainty of the situation, the fear that pervaded the city, it was all getting to her. She knew how important it was to Caedyn to at least be able to see his mother. Unless they ran into a Sith getting out wasn't going to be hard, but pulling this off without causing any alarms, without disappointing and hurting her friend, that was the fear preying on her mind. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]The girl could feel the eyes of the guards on her back, sure that any second now they'd recognise the young pair, the cry of alarm would go up as they'd set off in pursuit. Biting her lip nervously the girl let her hand fall away from Caedyn's shoulder, slipping into his hand as she gave it a small squeeze, glancing over at the boy with a smile, "You know, I'm finding out that undercover work is...something I need to work on," she admitted. "Just next time...lets practice somewhere where you know, there aren't thousands of people who would be overjoyed to see us huh?" The smile playing around her lips softened the girl's words as she let her eyes skitter away over the crowd towards the palace that was hoving into view above the streets. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt] [/SIZE]
[SIZE=10.5pt]The actual entrance to the palace, well Asaraa had expected a secret tunnel that only the royal family knew about or a section of wall that swung open if you pressed the right brick. In reality, it was a depression in the ground. There was a lesson there about expectations and life there somewhere if she chose to examine it...though she had to admit she wasn't all too keen to fall into that introspective black hole right now, perhaps later. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]Pale hands reached down, brushing the dirt from her journey off herself as she fell into a crouch next to Caedyn. “I can see why your mother likes spending time out here. It’s nice and peaceful, feels like the gardens back at the temple, although…I think your garden is better for playing hide and seek.” Which is what they were doing right now really. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10.5pt]The girl sank down, pressing one hand against the ground as her eyes flicked around the garden. She could smell the rich loamy scent of the earth, her the whistle of the wind through the trees, it all reminded her of home…it was amazing how completely Kashyyyk had become home now. The gardens here were different from those at Silver’s rest, but there was something about the smell of the trees, the greenery and the red and black that just…red and black. The girl’s head whipped around, pink hair flaring out like a cloak for a moment before it settled, blue eyes focusing on the shape of troopers draped over the bushes. Silently the girl reached out, nudging Caedyn with an elbow as she nodded at the men, “I’m guessing they aren’t lawn ornaments?”[/SIZE]

[member="Caedyn Arenais"] may not have been very open to the Force right now, but his Mother certainly was. And she could sense both him and [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] as they neared the maze. Kay was in the very center of it right next to the tree in the middle. Did Caedyn know the maze very well? She wasn't certain of how many times he had explored it.

How to bring them to her without causing too much of a distraction to alert any of the security forces that weren't in proximity? It wasn't as though she could go vaulting over the hedges. That would attract too much attention.

Maintaining her focus, she sought out his mind, glad for their familial connection, and sent him an image of herself in the center of the maze with the tree with the guards asleep. Hopefully he'd find her.

Caedyn blinked a couple times, having to make sure he was seeing things clearly; [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] had pointed out the Guards whom lay unconscious against the hedge and over some of the smaller bushes. "Someone's already here...?" He whispered to her in open thought, considering the possibility that maybe one of his Dad's people had already sought to free [member="Lady Kay"]. Though the Queen also said from time to time that she had friends in many different circles, they could have come from any number of pockets in the Galaxy if they were loyal enough.

Moving carefully forward, he approached the pair and found that they didn't appear to have any evidence of physical injuries the likes of a lightsaber would leave or that of blaster-fire. He was almost relieved in some way when he realized they were still breathing; "They're out cold..." He spoke back to Asaraa before taking the initiative to search them for anything that might save their hides later. Removing the fallen of their Blaster-Rifle's first, Caedyn passed one of them to Asaraa, hoping they wouldn't be required to use them. The rifle's had more range than his CS.38 though they'd also be much louder and call attention to themselves, leaving Caedyn to sling the weapon over one shoulder before checking to see what spare ammunition the soldiers carried.

It was only now that something called to him from afar, outside of his own mind came flooding in the image of his Mother standing within the Maze itself. Caedyn's expression seemed to go blank as he witnessed the passing vision, blinking twice more and shaking his head once over before turning to look to his partner wondering and looking for any sign that she might have experienced the same. Seeing little to confirm as much, he whispered softly with no small hint of alarm; "Mom's here...-In these Gardens...-We need to get through this maze".

The girl plucked the rifle out of the air, slim fingers running over the weapon as she checked it's charge with a practiced movement, her head nodding briefly before the rifle found itself slung over her back, bouncing ever so slightly as she turned to look down the pathway stretching in front of them, her blue eyes peering into the shadows cast by the hedges that seemed to stretch up towards the sky, branches reaching like fingers to grasp at the sun. There was an almost ominous lilt to the shadows that stretched across the ground as she bit down on her lip, twisting around to face Caeydyn as she peered past his shoulder back at the edifice that loomed behind him. "Well...lets hope that no-one comes looking for them until we find your mum and get her out of here." There was little doubt in the girl's mind that they could manage that, especially if they had some help, which is what it looked like. She just hoped that whoever had taken out the guards was a friendly force and not an enemy, although the only hostiles she could think of were the sith, and they would hardly be fans of knocking out their own forces like this.

Taking a step forward the girl let a familiar, almost playful, grin touch her lips as she inclined her head towards her friend. "So...please tell me you remember the way through this maze. Cutting through it, or you know hopping over it might attract a little more attention than we want and I so do not wanna spend hours trying to find my way out of there." Which, knowing her sense of direction wasn't entirely outside of the realm of possibility. Still, growing up in the palace Caedyn must know this place like the back of his hand...right?

[member="Caedyn Arenais"] had gotten her message. Kay had felt it. Now it was just a matter of time for him to reach her. Hopefully he'd be smart about it. Hopefully he'd remember the way. Whether it was Lori or him, Kay wasn't certain of which of the two knew the hedge maze more. She only knew that the two had played arpund in it from time to time. Games of hide and seek, tag and others were played.

Now was a game of a different sort. One of stealth and memory.

Kay got to her feet and walked over to the entrance to the center. It'd be easier to spot her then, whenever they had gotten that far. She glanced over to the sleeping guards nearby, noting that they were still sound asleep. Good. Hopefully she wouldn't have to keep them asleep for too long. Trying to explain lost time to them won't be so easy. But it was still possible.

"Come on Cae. Remember the way..."
