Prone to fail in middle of action: OOM-17'S enhanced cognitive and tactical modules tend to fail because sometimes they charge too much information in action. These Failures cause OOM-17 to be inoperative for an UNKNOWN amount of time.
Reinforcement Consequences: OOM-17 can resist to a couple of lightsaber hits because of the reinforced metal parts. These reinforcements meant to him a lot of weight addition, in consequence, OOM-17 Is too much slower than the average B-1 Battle Droid model.
APPEARANCE:
OOM-17 Has the average look for a B1 Battle Droid. It has some Green and Yellow Marks, the green colored marks are on the top of his head and aside of his arms, the Yellow colored marks are on his chest and, at the bottom part of his head. OOM-17'S Metal body parts are a bit rusty and worn, because of the past of time and multiple combat experience OOM-17 had. OOM-17 Usually uses his E-5 blaster rifle with his Microbinoculars and an Imagecaster in the field.
BIOGRAPHY:
Built by Baktoid Combat Automata in Geonosis, OOM-17 was meant to be the Principal Commander Droid to lead the Trade Federation Naboo offensive. Eventually the model would be Shown to Nute Gunray, the Viceroy was impressed, but concerned about the possible Failures that OOM-17 could have during in combat. Later Nute Gunray decided later to use OOM-9 as the Naboo offensive Commander, OOM-17 was relegated as a minor commander. OOM-17 Beta model type was the unique one in the trade federation and eventually in the Confederacy armies, the reason is that the OOM-17 Model was a lot more expensive talking about material and credits than the other conventional models.
OOM-17 Experienced part of the Naboo invasion in early phases, where he commanded small groups of droids to keep gaining territory and to intimidate the population. Eventually, OOM-17 formed part of the Battle of Naboo, but had to leave minutes before the catastrophe caused by young Anakin, because of a Nute Gunrays request, because the viceroy expected OOM-17 to fail.
OOM-17 after being extracted in Naboo was turned off and reported as nonoperational.
OOM-17 was updated (still tends to failure) and turned on again days before the battle of Geonosis, and assigned to command a B1 Battalion, since that day, OOM-17 started commanding for the confederacy, destination is currently unknown.
