"He came with us on the mission… I had an… interesting... interaction while trying to run a Temple Guard training session with the others." Braze offered the words lightly as he set to work on his share of the cooking, hands busy with the meal while his attention lingered on the conversation.

"He's taking care of Valor now, it would seem," he added. There was something fond tucked beneath the observation. "It's good to see Ko take on a student." He glanced over curiously,

"What about you? Have you thought about teaching any young ones?"

"What about you? Have you thought about teaching any young ones?"

"Golly, I don't know," Loomi answered, reaching up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "I guess I've... maybe just been thinking about if I'm even skilled enough to do that. I'm not sure when someone becomes ready to accept a student."

She was older than she had been when she was knighted, but she was still young. Maybe she wanted to have a bit more life experience before she became a teacher.

Or maybe preparing was a fool's errand.

"I'd... at least like to think I know when the moment is in front of me," she reasoned. "I feel like I can't really know for sure who I'll teach until I meet them."

Like how she met Tirin on a whim. The Force brought people together for a reason.

Braze shrugged. " You might never be ready... " He mused softly. " I don't think I was... but I know I want to make a difference in a few more lives before I die. " Braze offered softly.

"But perhaps...I might have some time to leave behind some kind of legacy..." Braze mused aloud. He sure did seem to think about his own frailty of life fairly often it would seem. Never the less he finished cooking and set the steaks aside to rest before moving to clean up some more and put things away.

"I feel selfish thinking I could just slink away and spend my time in my fancy tree house... "

"I feel selfish thinking I could just slink away and spend my time in my fancy tree house... "

"Maybe it would... feel less selfish if you shared the space with others more often?" Loomi suggested. "I know you spend far more time abroad, but... you've hardly invited back any guests. I think you'd make a very good host."

After all, homes were meant to be shared and enjoyed by lots of people. It didn't matter the size, only the company. She had enjoyed the time she spent with Knight Toth and his partner. Maybe Braze just hadn't had the right opportunity to make that space feel less selfish and more open to the people he cared about.

"Oh-" the Godoan began again, like snapping back to reality. "Um... I forgot to tell you I was there a few weeks ago. Nothing bad happened, just that I... washed some of your clothes I borrowed... Sorry, I ran out..."

She paused, thinking back to the emergency pit stop she made to rest and wash up. It wasn't that she felt any sort of taboo in regards to borrowing other's garments in a pinch. After all, she wore other people's clothes all the time back when she was a padawan that owned practically nothing. It was just that...

Thinking about what had happened made her a bit bronze in the cheeks.

"Perhaps… there's still much to do before it'll be ready…" Braze offered, knowing there were many projects yet to be completed.

He blinked curiously and looked up at that.

"Clothes~?" Braze asked, his head tilting slightly. "What kind of clothes did you borrow~? You know you can keep pretty much anything of mine you really like."

He offered the thought softly as he started to plate their meal.

"You must be starving by now."

Braze set the table for them, then fetched a pitcher of nice cold tea to go with their food. Once everything was settled, he gestured for her to join him in the booth.

"What kind of clothes did you borrow~? You know you can keep pretty much anything of mine you really like."

"Well, uh... I don't really think I can," Loomi muttered. "They, uh... they're a bit more... snug than I remember when we were younger..."

Loomi shook her head when Braze mentioned food and very quickly decided to agree and change the subject.

"Yes! Yes. Food," she agreed. "I'm really hungry."

She would make her way over to the booth and seat herself down.

"I can always make you new stuff too, if you like…" Braze said with a smirk. "Custom made and pretty. I made some fine beaded work for Eloise Dinn recently... ."

He offered it lightly, as if the hours bent over thread and tiny beads had been nothing at all.

"Took me houuuuuuurs to hand-stitch some of the bodice beading… but perhaps you might like to try a few new styles?"

Braze asked it softly as he started to sample what they had made. His expression warmed at once. "Mnn… fresh pasta is amazing… You've out done yourself Loomi Kins~ Color me impressed~"

"It's alright," Loomi insisted. "I don't need anything right now."

She smiled, quite pleased with herself as Braze complimented her creation. She began to eat as well, finally getting something into her system. She hadn't realized how hungry she was.

"Thank you~" she chirped back in response. "I've been having a lot of fun learning to do new things lately. And I'm very happy to do it with you."

Braze smirked over a forkful and took his time finishing his bite before quietly adding, "We should try new things together more often~"

He practically purred it in a playful tone, though his gaze softened a little after, lingering on her before he looked back down at his plate.

"You're good company," he added, softer this time, as if that part had slipped out by mistake. Then that little smirk returned unprompted as he seemingly started to finish his plate, having trouble eating slowly at all.

"And maybe next time, we try something a little more physical," Braze mused. "We could stretch our legs, trade a few rounds, see how long it takes before we wear each other out~"

"I have been training," Loomi noted, "But... lets save sparing for later. I'm still a little tired."

Sparring was very important for Echani, she learned. It was a sort of intimate conversation between combatants, a way that Braze was comfortable displaying his emotions. She wanted to be at her best for such a bout of martial arts.

"I... do like the sound of that though," she decided. "I'll be happy if I can keep up, I think. I'll bet you've been training just as tirelessly as the last time we met."

He always did.

"Truthfully not as much nor as often. I've dedicated more time to responsibilities. " Braze chirped. "Then perhaps I can interest you in a holovid before taking a nap ? " He asked softly. He very much wanted to spar with Loomi but he wasn't going to pester her if she was already tiered.

"We can get all cozy under the covers. " He added with a smile.

Loomi offered a soft smile in return.

"Yeah... I'd like that," she nodded. "I'm... happy to be back. I missed you."

It had been necessary so that she could train, but she was glad that all that had finally come to a close. Now she was ready and eager to make up for all that time she spent away.

This day would be the first of many.
