Come one come all to this tragic affair...

Bryce spit the breathing tube from his mouth as he pulled himself from the bacta tank. It had been a few weeks since the battle and he was still recovering from it. If it had just been from the wounds he sustained from the original battle he would have already been healed. His recovery was of a different kind. Bryce had begun to take steps to overcome his weakness starting with those parts that had been damaged on Kal'Shebbal. With a machine of his own design, he had crafted new Tibia and Fibia bones to replace the ones that had been shatter in his legs. Now surgically implanted he was in recovery, using alternating treatments of bacta and force healing to strengthen the muscles and tendons back to an even better state than he was born with.

Taking a quick shower to rinse off the healing fluid he quickly dressed in a red silk robe embroidered with the Ryl symbols of his new clan. Looking at his now deceased father-in-law's signate ring he placed it on his left ring finger and the others he had taken off on the fingers of his right hand. Slipping into a pair of basic, soft soled shoes he walked over to the view port of the TKO Search and Rescue's new flagship a modified (http://starwarsrp.ne...ommand-carrier/) seized in the liberation of Naboo. He notices how green and cloudy the planet below looked out the viewing window. Not wanting to dwell on events there he turned to a data pad nearby. Taking it in his hand he decided to check on those who might still need his care.

As he exited the room he flipped the lights down low and with a deep breath started down the hall toward the recovery rooms beyond.

It had been a few weeks since the battle for the planet below had concluded. The white haired woman was put into a fitful coma early on. The events of the battle and her attempt at using her untrained Force to heal her dear friend had taken its toll on her, both physically and mentally. But, now she was waking up...

Violet eyes opened slowly, the light above her bed assaulting the senses.

"This ceiling...is...unfamiliar."

Slowly, Kimiko raised her head, it was still in pain, and the sight before her when she got there caused her heart to sink: Her right leg was elevated and in a cast, obviously broken, and her right arm fared no better, immobilized to her side as well. She wasn't going anywhere soon.

Resigning herself to her current fate, Ki sighed in defeat before lowering her head slowly back to it's pillow. She took a moment before turning to the bed stand, smiling slightly when her eyes caught the many gifts adorning it's top. There were a few flowers, handwritten cards from the kids, and most importantly, her mobile music player with headphones.

Ki reached over with her one good hand, taking a hold of the device and cord, and set it on her stomach. She placed the small buds within her ears before activating the holo-display and looking for a song. She found one, a sad love song, themed around the winter holidays on some planets, and pressed play.

She allowed herself to be taken by the melody, humming softly along with it the voices in her ears, and closed her eyes again.

Zetha had been awake for...about 3 hours now. She had spent her time in the Bacta tanks, but now the medical droids were taking it from here. And since she was in stable condition, they weren't really doing much. Was she in stable condition? Even though the bed she lay on was bare except for the padding underneath of her, she felt a heaviness cover her since she woke up. She felt numb. She knew she could move, but had no motivation to do so. She had sunken into a deep depression and she knew the reason for it. She knew every time she tried to move her left arm, or touch it with her other hand. It was nothing but a stump a bit below her elbow. It just had a scar across it from being stitched up, so it was no longer a bloody mess.

But she felt useless. And broken. She had failed BB. She wasn't strong enough. She wasn't even sure if he was alive. She hadn't seen him since watching him collapse on the field. Sure, she had killed the man who did that to him, got her revenge, but at too high of a cost.

Not being seriously injured, he was placed in a large room, completing by himself, with a rather big window for star gazing, the abyss of space was comforting at times, and it let his mind focuse on something other than the past. Death, death, and more death. That was his timeline, all it ever would be. No future family, wife, children...just death. He had even talked to his fellow crew mates, he wasn't functioning very well. Not after....That. Hell even his voice changed, and his eyes constantly burned, a miniature inferno brewing in his irises. Not the slightest idea of what the condition of his TKO friend's were in. [member="Ria Misrani"]? Was she okay? [member="Kimiko"]? What about her? Or [member="Zetha Vesh"]? Hell, now that he was thinking of it, how was [member="Runi Verin"]? She'd probably survive a nuke. But not [member="Bryce Bantam"], the damn kid almost died.

Hands clasped behind his back, he stared out into the stars, his flaming eyes reflecting off the glass, watching him.maybe it was time to get his poodoo together and at least make an effort to talk to his companions. It could backfire, or his friend's could help him out.

Tilzi had suffered worse treatment. A beast had once thrust its tusk into her midriff and it had gored her straight through. She had even stubbornly refused to let [member="Ria Misrani"] and her curvaceous friend carry her out of the gentek facility.

She could - and would - take pride in the fact that she did not fall on the field. As she reached the gate the toll on her body caught up to her and she collapsed however. They'd been in captivity for a while and the guards hadn't taken kindly to her uncooperative attitude, not to mention all the names she'd called then.

A few broken ribs and some soft tissue damage were minor enough, but concussion was no laughing matter. A bacta tank couldn't heal the brain. They'd carried out surgery to relieve the swelling and put her under observation.

She'd only punched two nurses who had woken her up in the middle of the night to check she hadn't gone into a coma.

"I'm up," she growled as the nurse pulled back the curtain. "Can I go back to sleep now?"

"No, we need to take measurements." The nurse still sported a colourful bruise below his eye.

"Brilliant. And then I get to wear real clothes again right?" Tilzi retorted sarcastically. The damned machines made so much noise when she wanted to be sleeping. And the stupid robes...

[member="Kimiko"] 's room was the closest and was the first one he entered. Seeing her lying the was hard for him to stomach. She shouldn't have come planetside, in fact, he told her to stay but on this vessel but for some reason, she had refused and snuck into the ranks of the volunteers. So she had now witnessed the horrors of battle first hand and had nearly gotten herself killed. Still, if she hadn't been there Bryce might have well met his maker so he couldn't dare be mad. Instead, he greeted her warmly. Placing his hand over her arm and leg he felt the warmth of the force flow out from his body and into her broken limbs. In his mind's eye, he imagined the bones refusing and coming together. Such skills were now becoming easier to him and with the work on his own body he had a formulary with suck things. When he was done he hoped Kimiko was feeling a little better and to see he asked.

"How ya feeling warrior?" I jest to her for her heroics planetside.

Bryce had entered her suite and immediately the walls were thrown up. Her thoughts began wrapping themselves about how he would act towards her for her actions in the battle, not even minding the fact she had healed him. Bryce might not have been, but she still thought that he would punish her for her disobedience.

By the time he had neared, Ki had removed an earpiece, keeping one in as a distraction and only hummed her greeting as he began to work on her broken limbs. Through the process, she kept her gaze adverted, only reacting slightly to any pain or discomfort.

Bryce's next words took Kimiko by surprise once he had finished his own task. Tear filled eyes looked upon her Master before she could gather the courage to speak herself.

She quickly turned and attempted to hide her tears,"I am no warrior Master. Please forgive me for my disobedience during the battle."

The doors slid open with a hiss, and he stepped out into the hallway, making his way to Z's room, she was on the top of his list so far, the loss of her arm was probably devastating. After asking a nurse, he knocked lightly on [member="Zetha Vesh"]'s room, and the door opened almost immediately, making him jump back slightly, but he soon gathered his composure and peeked in, his eyes scanning over the room. "Hey Z.... I just came to see how you were doing." Pausing, he glanced at himself in the mirror, his eyes burning. "I can leave if you don't want to talk, but I just wanted to say that if You ever need someone to talk to... I'm listening." Giving her a faint smile and wave, he stepped back out. Now where as that little [member="Bryce Bantam"]?

A voice spoke from the doorway. A voice she recognized. It wasn't a nurse or a medical droid but instead... "Nate!" She blurted out, pushing herself up in bed with her one arm. She blinked in shock as he stepped back out the door. "Nate, wait!" She called out. Her voice died in her throat. She blinked again, realizing she had reached out to him without noticing her arm move. She moved her hand back to her lap. "Nate I...I would like to speak with you..."

[member="Nate the Bounty Hunter"]
((get your butt back in here))

Stopping dead in his tracks, he turned, looking back at [member="Zetha Vesh"]. The urge in which she had called him was slightly surprising, he didn't think she'd want to talk to him. Backtracking, he stood beside her, a concerned look on his face, which was probably a little unnerving with his flaming stare and newly deepened voice. "Go ahead Z, I'm here to listen."
BB and the others would just have to wait to see their "knight in shining armor", he had a friend who needed him.

Zetha stared up at Nate, her glazed-over eyes meeting his firey ones. "Your eyes...they changed." She reached out to take his hand, paused, and brought her hand back. She glanced away from him. Those eyes held passion that she could no longer feel anymore. "So...did we....did we win?" She knew they had won. She knew the moment she sacrificed her limb to slay that brute that the war was won. But at what cost? What else was lost other than her arm? "BB. Is he okay?" He had to be okay! But then again....if he was okay, he would have seen her by now.

[member="Nate the Bounty Hunter"]

He looked down at her hand as it outstretched to take his, but she pulled it back, after mentioning the eyes. "...Yeah... it's scary right?" Not wanting to delve upon that particular subject, he averted his gaze, memories starting to surge back up from their confines. Still looking at the wall behind her, he nodded. "Yes, all thanks to you." That much was very true, as if she hadn't killed that monster the battle could have been lost. As she mentioned BB, the flames in his eyes grew brighter, before returning to 'normal'. "…… I don't know... I haven't talked to him...he's too preoccupied with..." something dawned on him, and he turned his gaze on her. "Wait... isn't he supposed to be here; with you?" As he said it, he answered it simultaneously. Bryce wasn't in there with her because he was busy giving Kimiko googly eyes. Wasn't [member="Zetha Vesh"] the one who had feelings for him and figuratively saved his life? Reaching out slowly, he took her hand in his, a wave of emotions washing over him. Loss, sadness, and bitter resentment towards... both BB and Kimiko.

Pulling his hand back, he looked into her eyes, speaking softly. "You're heartbroken...because of him?" On the inside, he was screaming. What type of move was that? This poor girl lost her arm trying to save the one she loved, and he says 'thank you' by spending all of his spare time with the newest addition to the team? After losing his only loved one so recently, he loathed this type of thing with a burning passion. Z was not only now missing her arm, but also her lover as well, the potential for a future together...gone. She was like an empty husk, void of all feelings...too much like him."Zetha...I am so sorry," Leaning forward, he hugged her, shaking off his cold demeanor he let his softer side come back out, she was his friend.

"[member="Kimiko"] There is nothing to forgive, I underestimated you, and your spirit. A word of advice, next time you want to play hero, get some training first, plenty of us here to teach you, just ask."

With a friendly smile, Bryce left Kimko so continue here healing. A few more treatments and she would be right as rain physically mentally maybe another story but he believed she was stronger than she knew, only need to believe that and once she did, watch out universe.

Continuing down the hall Bryce encountered two more of his friends in an embrace. From the back he saw Nate's massive frame seeming to be bent over and hugging who he believed was Z, as this was her room but Nate all but covered her up.

"Woo, sorry guys to need a minute?"

Every word out of Nate's mouth caused Zetha's heart to sink lower and lower. She didn't feel anything. Not anger or resentment or hurt. She knew she should be feeling those things, but she didn't. She just kept feeling numb. Like all the life had drained out of her body, leaving her with nothing. Like a pesky bug that sucked your blood, the bug that sat on her now drained her emotions. BB...her first kiss...the man who had taken her on her very first date...the man she literally gave her arm for....was too preoccupied. She didn't even have to guess at what he was preoccupied with. Or should she say...who he was preoccupied with. She had seen the way he looked at that Kimiko girl since the day the flighty gutless blonde joined their little troupe. It made Zetha absolutely sick.

Then Nate hugged her and she blinked in surprise. She...hadn't been hugged in a long time. She started to reach forward, pain shooting through her as she felt what would be a phantom limb try to hug Nate. This wasn't fair. Then there was a new voice, a very familiar voice, at the door. A voice who whispered to her on the dance floor of that cantina, a voice who explained what the droid he built for her did. "BB," her right hand held onto Nate's shoulder, partially to move him out of the way, but mostly to seek support. "You're....you're here."

[member="Bryce Bantam"] (you cheater lol jk) [member="Nate the Bounty Hunter"]

After rising, he would step aside, still in reach for Z, as she was using his as support, and to be able to look across the room and at BB. The kid had a way of making things better, that was one of the reasons he loved the kid...but now, was not one of those times. Giving a faint smile, he would look over at Z, wondering if she still relied on him for support. The answer was just a feeling in his gut; if she didn't need him, she would've said so right?

Not being able to get a read on the way Z felt, he stayed quiet. He didn't really want to be there if they started butting heads, but then again... He was kind of needed.

"I don't think so....but...I can leave if you guys are..." Usually, he wasn't one to trip over himself, but there was a first time for everything.

He looked at the two of them, both so young just like he. But the eyes of each told a story of such pain, none of them had chosen or been offered the easy life, and the battles they have each fought still hung like dark shadows with their searching eyes. Bryce just smiled at Nate, not an expression of joy or contentment like usual. His expression was one of forced happiness to try and bring up the mood of all around him. He had taken the mantle of leader, soldier, and now clan prince of the world below. So much of his life had changed so quickly he was trying to make sense of it and reconcile the emotions that now swirled inside.

His absence had been self-imposed, so much was not needed of him by both his friends and his new station. It had taken him longer than he wanted to bring himself to this point, to be able to once again join those he knew. There was so much that was needed to be said, so many stories to be told. But, the pain in the room was palpable, it hung in the air think and seemed to flow into everything.

Bryce walked over to Nate and placed his hand on Nates free shoulder. "It's all good buddy, been away for far too long. Glad you are here...."

His words trailed off as he looked at Zetha. The battle had been hardest on her. Not only was there pain of her lost limb Bryce was not blind to the confusion between them. Before Kal'Shebbol they had shared something special, but all too fleeting. Bryce had continued to adventure, continued to meet new people and explore himself. He was not the same boy who she had met what seemed like so long ago. Z had also changed. Like Bryce she had picked up the saber and was continuing her training in the force. She was so strong but one wrong move had cost her so much.

He could also feel she still had feelings for him. Ones that Bryce would now never reciprocate even if he wanted to thanks to his new station. So with no real plan on how to deal with this all he simply said.

"Good to see you again Z."

"Are you not done yet?" she snapped at the nurse. He recoiled from her, likely concerned she might lash out again.

"Can I just check one more thing please?" he asked softly.

Tilzi scowled at him. She looked down at her hands that were tightly balled into firsts. As snappy as she could be, this wasn't quite her. "Sorry," she said. It wasn't often she apologised to males.

"You took a bad head injury. It's going to affect your mood I'm afraid," he said before slowly coming back closer. "Have you tried walking yet?"

Tilzi pursed her lips as the man held something up to the side of her head. "Yes."

"How did it...

"Not well," she replied. That was frustrating. An injury she couldn't see and it was preventing her from getting mobile. She'd lost her balance after just a few steps with the physio.

"It'll come. Right, I'm done for now. Get some rest."

Tilzi shuffled her pillows around to get more comfortable. The machines weren't making any noise for once and neither were the other patients. Voices from a few rooms away drifted to her. She knew those voices. She tried to put it out of mind, but could help but hear the awkward conversations. Sounded like someone was fawning over Bryce. She didn't know how she felt about that. She had distinctly 'maybed' him at a previous Kathol outing. However, she could be quite a shallow creature at times. Once she had taken a mate from Wilsa of the Vyne Meadow clan. After a month she'd discarded him. Turned out she was more interested in taking Wilsa's prized partner more than she was in him.
