Come one, come all, for it is favors you seek

Vandelhelm

Men and women of all races paced and stood around the massive chamber of a royal palace on Vandlehelm. The atmosphere was a buzz of voices from hundreds of different conversations within the countless different simicircles on the floor. Faces Ladro had come to know well while others he had never seen before. None of it mattered to him. Each of them were hungry to obtain what the other had. The only thing holding them back were the rules. Rules he knew oh so well. They pushed to get what they wanted, bent over backwards to keep their noses clean, and were never satisfied in the moment. Their greed was endless. It was his ability to see the lust and manipulate it that had brought him to where he was today.

Moving across the floor and mingling between groups allowed him to pass friendly gestures and small talk with multiple Royal families from all across the galaxy who had come to know him more than well. Many of the personal favors he had done for the Kings and Queens had been far from legal and therefore made him an equal due to the knowledge he possessed and controlled at all times. This knowledge was stored in many secure locations that only he himself knew of. Security measures and such made sure that his safety stayed top shape or each and every one of their dirty little secrets would be known to all. Some kingdoms would surely feel differently about the peace they were all able to enjoy with such comfort.
"Hello hello maddam. You look lovely as ever. I take it we were pleased with how everything turned out." he said with a soft bow of his head.
A hefty woman in a smaller than preferred gound was sitting in a chair surrounded by five men of a few different races. Her eyes widened as she noticed Ladro walking up to the group. "You were simply marvelous. Mm Mm," her arm raising towards him as if to call him closer,"In fact if you have time we need to speak with you again soon." her voice cheerful.
Ladro moved his hand out towards her though made no other advancement towards the lady, "We should set up a meeting soon. I'll be in contact with Lady Rebecca again as last time I presume?"
"Yes! I shall let her know you will be in touch."
Another curdeous nod of his head, deeper than before took him away from the conversation and walking through the crowd again. Many of groups he passed contained people who had the same things to say to him all of which forcing him to stop. It made him giddy to see so many people in need. Truth be told he had much in need though his needs would be met for free. By the time he had spoken with them in private they would be begging to help in anyway they could. They would see it as nothing more than a simple favor that they could help him out with.

As the night progressed LAdro found himself moving out of the massive doorways that led to a specific room in the palace. Truth be told he had not intended to be at this venue in the first place. The trip to the planet had taken him off course from a bit of personal scheming in play. It couldn't be helped though. The reputation of a man who always delivers is only as good as the last client he worked with. Moving throughout the royal palace took some planning and timing. It was quiet simple though thanks to many of the employees working the security had identifiers and strict orders as to who could go where. His mug had made the list of do not disturb during the last favor for the family when he was hired to bring in a specific amount of spices for the families personal use. Come to find out later on they were using the shipment to frame a share holder within a company they had taken interest in. The poor bloke ended up having his rights removed from the stock as well as being a free man. Ruthless. The story had brought a sense of joy to his heart. People in power were his kind of people.

A door in front of him opened quickly showing a full bar and a chair facing towards a corner. The man who had been in need of a shipment of Disrupter Rifles was sitting in it. The particular planet of this man in need had different feelings about the weapons and so buying any on the black market wasn't safe. Luckily for him a friend had worked with him before and got in touch. With the raise of a hand Ladro ordered a drink and finished with a nod. The bar tender pored his glass carefully before exiting the room entirely.
"Your donation came through later than expected. I almost thought the deal was off." his voice showing some of his annoyance for having to wait.
"We had to be sure you were reliable." said the man who remained facing towards the corner.
"Now you know." Ladro said smuggly. His eyes looking past his glass as he downed the beverage and turned back to the door he had come through.

Without anymore words Ladro exited the room and walked casually back towards the party. His pockets a bit more full. Time to allow his loyal friends the chance to cash in a few favors while the night was still young.
