Coincidental Chiss

Kurenai was surprised that he had dogged the hit, but regardless had been able to anticipate the quick swing, a good start but he had much more to learn. "Try and use the force to glean my intention and movements, pick out the feites and see the proper strike that is to come, I want you to block, not dogde, not raise the blade for what may be a strike, do not move unless the hit is going to connect". "Tis form is about being able to handle and strike or out of the blue attack... we will go again". This Time Kurenai went for a thrust, then spinning the bade half way through, holding it in reverse grip, going for a slash aimed as the hissed waist.

Following his Sensi commands he uses the force to feel her move for a thrust but something in him told him she would be more crafty that that. Feeling her go for a slash across his waist instead he went to block the movement using a sideways step bring his blade across to were his waist would have been. Then waiting for the next instruction from his Sensi, he moves back to ready position. [member="Kurenai Yumi"]

Rex was getting the hang of things, easily blocking the strike as it came for him, but she would not stop there, "That was good, but in a real fight the opponent will not be making once strike, they may push you, be aggressive, they may try to work there way past your defense, we will try again, this time I will perform several strikes". Pacing around the Chiss she once again let time flow, giving him a minute to re-enter the state of him before she made her attack. Once up Kurenai would extend her arm, doing an overhead swing at the boy, but this time prepared to follow through with several more, if he managed to block this attack would be facing a upwards swing form the but of her practice Nagamaki.

Listening to his Sensi, he was now expecting more than one attack. Resetting himself, he feels the blade coming through. He blocks the overhead strike, and that's when he feels it. He set her up for her next strike. Using force speed to make up for the misjudgement he just manages to block the strike traveling upwards towards his chin. Feeling like a fool for not registering earlier he waits for his Sensi next move.

He was doing well so far, blocking the flurry of strike, though against a user of Ataru or form 2 he would most not stand a chance, herself just using the basic swing associated with Niman in her attacks not really bothering to put much spin into it the strikes. Following up from her last strike Kurenai would pull back, spinning the spear life staff around her waist and going for a thrust at the Chiss' abdomen, not something he could block, but bat to the side. The attack came a little quicker then the last, herself putting a little more force into the thrust as it flew towards the man.

Continuing to block all of her strikes, Rex knew something was coming. Then she suddenly pulled back, Rex quickly searched the force for her intent, then feel the weapon again coming at one side then the other. Battering one hit to the side, he feels to come around for another, knowing he won't be quick enough to block it. He instead steps ever so slightly out of the way and brings his weapon around. just making it in time so that the hip didn't connect with his body but his weapon. With the amount of force still coming through it he is knocked to the ground on his back.

Pulling himself back up, still not opening his eyes he waits for the next attack or instruction from his Sensi. [member="Kurenai Yumi"]

The attack had knocked him down but not hit, still in combat Kurenai would have followed through with another attack, finishing off the Chiss, though progressing at a decent rate still had a lot to learn. Kurenai paced around the man silently while waiting for him to get back up, keeping a locking eye on the Chiss, weapon tapping lightly against the ground as she circles him like a shark. After a short moment she would lash out again, a thrust that would be followed up by spinning the weapon around to make an over head swing, one what would then be followed by a wide attack on his upper left thigh. Once again her attacks where stronger, faster, but still not tapping into the force.

Feeling her walk around him he readies himself for her attacks. Countering her thrust with a parry, he then pushes his blade overhead to stop the over head strike, then finally moving to his blade to meet her wide attack at his left thigh. She was making it harder on him which was good, he needed a test especially after how the sith had treated him. How he had been treated by the sith reminded him of his final days among the chiss military, pushing that aside it forced him to tap further into the force watching and waiting for his sensi to make her next move.

Kurenai was impressed by the boys ability now, he was picking up the skills fast, now able to counter hi strike with seeming ease, it was good to see, even if the woman's strike where deliberately frontal with basic action, still yet to be wielded by the inhuman strength she had. Perhaps she should have given the Chiss time to recover, but he was doing to well to just simply not in the need for one, a rest would come, once his ass hit the floor again. Bringing the weapon up she would assault the apprentice with a flurry of side swing, no real patter, just a never ending wave of left and right hits, a basic form of Ataru, just over whelming the enemy with constant attacks.

As he readied for his sensi next move, he felt her attack from side to side. Managing to block most of the strikes until she got a hit in on his side, he was getting tired. He managed to stay on his feet and continued to block all the strikes till a second one got through. Then a third and finally a fourth taking him off his feet, knocking him to his side. Managing to get up and ready himself he feels tired he doesn't know how much longer he can keep up with his sensi.

Kurenai stood there as the Sith collapsed to the ground before standing back up, her sensing abilities able to know the Chiss was close to exhaustion, and though wanting to push the man further she had to remember the man was only mortal, not a vampire that could heal from wounds. At least now she got a good measure of his stamina and breaking level, something she would slowly rise and rise until no one would be able to push him past it. "We will stop for now, I can tell you are winded, training when not at full strength just tires you out more, not make one improve, rest and relax, then we can start again, so far you have done well, but have a long way to go".

Nodding he opens his eyes once more blinking them a couple of times as he readjusts to the light. "Thank you sensi" is all he can get out before walking over to the tree he was under yesterday and collapsing onto the ground. Lying on the soft ground he falls asleep for some time out of pure exhaustion. Maybe 2 hours later he really isn't sure of the time, he wakes up again managing to sit up and start mediating trying to revitalize himself. [member="Kurenai Yumi"]

Kurenai gave the Chiss a small nod letting him wander over to a nearby tree, the same one from the last few training sessions, perhaps he would need to take a bath as well, the musk of sweat seeming to linger around. "Hey! Takeshi, start running a bath", her voice would echo for a moment before a reply was shouted, "Sure thing, but this early in the morning? I know it has been a while since, you know, but seems a little rushed". "..... you're such an ass sometimes", the sound of laughter could be heard from the house as Kurenai turned around to go inside, leaving [member="Rex Taff"] to snooze under the tree.

Getting back up from his mediation and nap, he looks around and can't see his sensi anywhere. I wonder were she went Rex thought to himself. Walking inside he calls out "Sensi are you in here?" I hope she hasn't run off on me He thinks as he stands and waits for an answer of any kind.

Kurenai peaks her head out from the bathroom, waving at the Chiss as she heard his questioning nature to her sudden disappearance. "Just getting bath for you ready, well more like a onsen since we use natural spring water, come on in, your muscles will probably need a rest and all, as well as getting that sweat off your body". The room she was in had steam slowly wafting out of it, the sound of running water echoing through the hallways, Kurenai with a towel wrapped around her body.

Looking a little surprised. "An onsen, I have only heard of those in history." Then looking at his sensi "If you are sure I need one Sensi, I will follow your example" Then entering the room, he gets out of his gear, putting on a towel. About an hour later, "thank you for that Sensi that does feel better" He says as he puts back his armor and gear. "What now Sensi?" He asks.

She was honestly a little surprised by the fact he did not know much about an onsen, but to each there own, guessing the even to day the Chiss home world was still very secluded from the rest of the galaxy. "If my memory serves me correctly neither you or muster Ubese have taken a bath since coming here, so yet now go clean yourself", she stated directing the boy into the small hot springs, joining him promptly. Soon though the two where cleaned up and ready to go once more, Kurenai seeing a pattern here that would repeat itself over the next few days, "What is next, more saber practice, for the next few day I will work your style and form, making you a proficient duelist in Niman since you seem to like that". "Just remember, no amount of training can prepare you for the battle field, some lesson you can only gain there".

Narration: For the following few day Kurenai worked with the Chiss force users, until eventually she had to return to duties among the CIS, though paving the way for the new warrior. [member="Rex Taff"]

Looking at his Sensi, "Very well then Sensi."

A few days later. "Thank you for teaching me as much as you could Sensi, I should leave you to do what you need to do." Then double checking he has everything "CSA here I come." Smiling at his Sensi, he waits for a final goodbye for now so he can go to the starport.

Kurenai patiently waited for the Chiss to pack up his belongings and depart from the house, though deep down she knew the two would meet again someday, perhaps sooner then she originally thought. Either way it was goodbye for now "Again [member="Rex Taff"], it was my plasure to once again train someone, perhaps I should open the mansion doors and start up lessons to those interested... ah I am getting side tracked, well goo luck on your endeavors apprentice, hope you have a fruitful time among the CSA". She gave the boy a small wave, watching as he left, standing there until out of sight, herself returning into the house, preparing for her own trip back to CIS occupied space.
