Coffee or Green Tea

It seemed these days she hardly got any time to relax, though with another baby on the way and other certain problems that did not involve her skill set Kurenai had managed to get away from the front lines. It would probably not last long and when the baby did come she would not be surprised if the higher ups had her back into missions ASAP. As such she aimed to enjoy this leave as much a possible, only problem was it was kind of boring.

She was a fighter and had fun sparing at the Isayama Dojo she currently was residing in, teaching the locals and any wandering force users. But with a slightly bulge in her belly Kurenai did not dare to take a single punch or move to much least cause problems in the future. Now most people would be 'just invite some rescinds over' which was all good and nice, probably was Kurenai had no real friends in the CIS. Well all but one person, a certain Sephi, one who knew about her being a vampire and probably one of the few people she could relate too.

"Hmmm, guess I'll send her a message, though I am not to certain she will accept", they were the current marshal of the CIS armed forces, not someone you could just simply whisk away at will.

-Dear [member="Lirka Ka"] this is Kureni Yumi, due to a certain event I am no able to partake in activities that I usually find fun and to a certain extent are looking for someone to chat to in order to pass time. If you are interested in sitting down and having tea some time please come to Isayama Dojo on Monastery, I will be awaiting your arrival-

Lirka followed a rather simple code of ethics, well, at least it was one of her codes: if someone hasn't cross her, try and at least be somewhat cordial, if they were rude: see how many places you could break them in. And thankfully for Kurenai she had not been rude at all, so no breaking of limbs and or unborn children was going to be apart of her visit.

Lirka of course, had undergone a good handful of changes since her last visit with the woman, a few broken ribs...get your hair burnt off...concussion...maybe deaf in one ear. Normal things for Lirka, oh and of course one could not forget the entourage of partially large Sephi Honor Guard that followed her around just about everywhere: though she had convinced only two of them to come with her today. Simple silent sentinels that watched over her constantly, "Tia Cel" they called her: their queen, more or less.

The Dojo greatly amused the Sephi, and her unhelmeted head showed it: she had only been in a Dojo once before, of course that had been for a decade long period, but only for those years. Back on Anzat when she was trained, oh how she remembered having to beat many Anzati into a state of not moving when they tried to drink her. Of course, there were some particularly noticeable new features on the woman, most of all that where there had once been a head of hair as black as midnight now laid a fiery head of red that seemed to match her personality far better: joys of being able to get new hair transferred on.

"Well ain't this place quaint? Don't seem to smell anyone getting killed or droids trying to murder me."

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

Kurenai was able to sense [member="Lirka Ka"] approch the Dojo from quite the distance, she had a very notable force signature and smell to herself, then again it may have been a Spehi thing, Either way she was more then prepared for the visitor when she entered the main gates, the door to the homestead open for the marshal. "Yes it is rather quaint, not many students today, I have had to more or less cancel classes due to my current position, but please come in a sit down, let us talk, it has been a while since that last armor repair session we had". She more or less yelled from the other side of the yard... perhaps a simple intercomm system would have been a good idea for when guest arrived.

At the end of the yard Kurenai sat down at the Atrisan styled table, a freshly brewed pot of green tea and other drinks ready, even caf if that was [member="Lirka Ka"] preferred beverage. Unfortunately she had not been expecting any guest to arrive with the Sephi women, she'd need to get a few more seats just in case they wanted to relax a little while inside the Dojo. Thank god for the force and it's use in everyday tasks, as all it took was a small flick of the wrist to set up a few more cushions for the arriving guests as they walked on the leaf covered stone work.

"Mes air jhori, I have had many since: and even more spent in the medbays."

Lirka held no illusion that she wasn't violently torn up serving the Confederacy: her last bout on Seltos has been the worse, she had been so viciously torn apart that she was surprised she was even alive. Of course, all that was in no thanks to her little gaggle of Sephi she had picked up on the world: both thanks for many of her injuries, and a thanks for keeping her alive. It was a fine fight, and she got to experience being flung out a window.

Her guards simply went off to flank the entrance, and a few simply stayed close like the silent sentinels they were. It seems they had no interest in partaking, thankfully.

The Force oh how thinking about it made Lirka shudder.

But she took a seat, regardless, examining the drink before her. Alas, not booze.

Kurenai cocked her head to the side a little, not understanding the first words that Lirka spoke though she assumed it was somthing about students as well. "Hmmm the medical bay, I will be honest I do not think I could recall the last time I had to go to one of those, most wounds, if I ever get them, heal long before I reach a medical center". It was a constant thing she always assumed would reveal her true nature as a vampire, but most people seemed to be oblivious to it, always focused on something else.

"Now I am sure tea is not the first drink you partake in on a regular basis, though there is not really much else here besides it, though this talk is more for talking then simply drinking". "So Ka-sama, how have things been military wise,i have not been out in active service recently and thus have missed quite a bit, the holo channels do not always reach out here into the mountain areas". That and the knightly order did not have a personal information service that sent you daily updates on the recent missions, all that security and secrecy stuff they had going.

"Four broken ribs, a concussion, multiple blaster burns, and they said half my scalp burned off."

A small little report of the injuries that had put her in on Seltos, she laughed at it though: uncaring of just how close to death that battle had brought her. Made sense why she was a redhead now though.

"Been bouta' century since I last had tea. Remember it being half fine. The droids turned against us, recently, bit random when and where but it's been wonderfully bloody. Practically a Raxus Prime worth of scrap being built up: it's going fine enough though, I think we'll be able to hold it."

It was impressive just how devoted Ka was to the Confederacy's success. She had personally left quite the pile of fallen droids, her and the guards of course: those warriors were disturbingly effective when working as a death, almost all of those injuries had been inflicted by one of the guards: a man almost as large as Ka, though the silent sentinel showed little empathy for what he did. Though he didn't show much of anything for that matter.

"That seems like a fairly average day in the middle of a war zone if you ask me, minus the hair burning, luckily mine has not been subjected to such yet". Which was kind of odd considering all things, perhaps it was just luck or maybe she was unintentionally guarding her long onyx hair when any form of fighting occurred.

"Half a century, that is not something I think I could do, but I can understand, tea is acquired taste, much like alcohol, you simple just don't like it on your first go, you have to, much, like physical training, train your tongue to like it". "Once that is done tea becomes quite the nice beverage to have, but again, that is just me, some people no matter how much they drink it can never get used to the taste". She brought up a steaming pot pouring the boiling water through a strainer wit black tea leaves, producing a brown beverage for herself and Lirka is she felt like taking a sip.

"I heard about the droids turning, one of the reasons why I prefer organic soldiers, they can't be controlled by the enemy as much as a huge neural linked robotic network". More so considering that the CIS had plenty of willing man power to drawn from in the many worlds under their control.

“Seems enough big droid guns does that to you. I couldn’t tell.”

She shrugged, it was no mystery that Lirka had a disturbing pain tolerance when in the moment: it took only a browse over her record to see all the things she had done, Seltos, the same place where she was so close to death, had been the best example. Any lesser person would’ve fallen long before Lirka had done her part. Which involved using her fists to get out of a horde of Droids.

“Drank tea back home. And that was a century ago.”

With Thustra conquered, and Lirka spending most of her time in the Underworld after that, tea was simply not a major part of her life. Not like she hated the stuff, but it felt dull in comparison to booze.

“Less worrying bout’ food and being humane if it’s Droids.”

Lirka was rather, vicious, with her Droids: can’t exactly do that with people.

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

"Enough big droid guns... that does not sound strange out of context aaaaaat alllllllll".

Did she just make a joke? guess she had been hanging around that short big breasted Jedi women for to long, it was starting to show off a little, even if her tone was still blunt. "But still I get what you are saying, just like how a nuclear bomb leave you all burn up and crispy... that was a strange time", even if was a time loop, being fried by a nuclear blast was not fun.

"Well you can drink it again this century, sounds kind of like how humans have their once a year thing", to her anyways, being about to live well past 6000 years old to Kurenai 100 years was like a regular human year. It made her somewhat 9 years old, her moth 30, her great grandmother 43 and her great great grandmother 56 years old.

"Food, yes, metal and other supplies that could be used to make weapons and other useful things, not so much", less so with how disposable they make the driod, may as well just have a assembly line leading straight into the bin. though that is talk for another day, leave the Viceroys and high ups to talk about that sort of thing". "All that matters is that such an event does not happen again anytime soon, I think the Minister of Science or some one will make sure of that".

[member="Lirka Ka"]

"Ha."

Lirka could do the whole joke thing. Sometimes. Occasionally. Rarely. If she had enough booze in her system. She was known for just being overly blunt and painfully unpleasant.

"Never quite been burned, yet. Had half my face mauled off by a Nexu once in Choah. They patched me up and made me all nice and pretty still."

Of course, when she did do the whole joke thing it oozed with a cold sarcasm and facetiousness. Though...they did patch her up rather well: hard to tell she even had been missing so much of her face at one point, guess appearance needed to be kept up within the pits. Couldn't lose such a popular fighter so easily. Of course she let out a low and near humorless chuckle at her own poor joke.

"Birthdays, I believe they call it. We had them, birth celebrations were always a fun time. Haven't had one in decades though."

Or simply her former career path didn't really allow for such things.

Lirka reached down. Clicking one of her claws against a small piece of damaged armor that was tied to one of her sharp armor plates. A simple reminder of the fallen.

"They damn well hope they do. Or there will be things far more scary than droids they need to worry about."

Blunt as ever, and as unapologetic as ever, and she entirely meant it: she would gladly beat the idiot who allowed this to happen into a fine red paste a dozen times over.

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

"A Nexu? those lizard cat looking karks with the thousands of teeth... hate them with a passion". Bad past events involving the lose of a few friends and almost her arm, she often heard some stories about the area on Geonisis still using them in some duels. Perhaps she'd stop by at some point to kill few, well after she had her latest kid, would be a few months before she was able to get back into combat.

"Birthdays, never really had those before, don't really think they are worth if for people of our age, not really much to celebrate if it can happen 5000 ties, probably get boring in my opinion". Even less so when you almost looked exactly the same each year and had spent most of your life hiding your almost immortal life span.

She gave a small chuckle at the women's threat to the science buffs running all their factories and foundries, "Id be careful, there is a certain scientist Twi'lek I know of that doesn't seem to take crap from anyone and is kind of crazy in the head". "Threaten her and you may wind up being given a squad of super droid that's sole purpose it to kill you, though I can very well understand why you are pissed off". Taking a nearby cup she took a sip of the steaming hot tea, letting the taste sooth herself after the somewhat 'we hate everything talk'.

[member="Lirka Ka"]

"They were popular in the pits, among other hounds."

Truly, the fighting pits were the most fascinating zoo. The zoo where the animals tried to violently rip you apart and eat you. The most fun zoo.

"Most of those races that celebrate don't live much further than 100 years. They are enjoyable, occasionally. I haven't had one since I was very young."

And Lirka wasn't exactly known for doing things that were, well, actually fun.

"I've killed droids before. Besides, can't build things when your arms have been torn off."

She didn't understand the half of Lirka's rage, it was a fickle thing, a bizarre and hypocritical thing all the same. Lirka didn't get close to many people, and those Honor Guard had pierced her cold and nigh unfeeling soul: losing one turned her into an even greater inferno.

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

"True, I guess it is seen as a passage to maturity, though being 25 for the last few hundred years such reasoning does not really make sense anymore, though these days it seems more like a reason to have people give you present then acutely celebrate anything". Perhaps that could be a thing to look into, mother would probably have an understanding of the 'birth day' origins and how it developed over the year, she wound't be surpirse if it was a religious thing in the past for some force using sect that became popular to others.

"Are you referring to the machines or the people the make droid with that statement"? Either way I kind of makes sense... wait. "What if our battle droid were equipped with some sort of fail safe then when activated, through either high command or if an integrated sensor system would blow their arms off"? "They would not be able to harm anyone, or you hair, remain active in what ever field they are in, basically act as cannon fodder while our more valuable troops retreat, could also mean you can blow of some steam too, cut through the mass of droids at a whim".

Perhaps the minister of science would be interested in such a system, unless it was to expensive to implement, not that the CIS was hurting for cash at the moment.

[member="Lirka Ka"]

"The greed of most people. Material possession does seem to be the craving."

Something that the longer lived races could be without, she had seen her handful of older aliens who abandoned such petty things. Herself included.

"Both. Many have fallen to my blade over the long years: I primarily meant the droids made of metal though."

The Sephi listened, shaking her head after the vampire finished her little idea.

"Ripe to be abused. If that were to fail the Droid Army would be rendered void and the CIS would assuredly fall within a mere handful of months."

Hard to trust high command when she hadn't met any of them.

[member="Kurenai Yumi"]

"Well in most cultures power is signified by possession, the more you have the higher your social standing, mainly since back then most people got their wealth via their own means". These days most was inherited without any effort, wielding to your usual fat political leaders with silver spoons in their mouths and no idea how to do anything properly.

"Well what ever, as long as the droid can be taken care of if things go south, not like they are any smarter from 900 years ago, can't really cram a whole lot of information into those thin bodies". The typical quantity over quality, cheap easy to make and repair and easy to kill, though when the things did go rouge that made clear up a whole lot easier.

Kurenai took another sip from her cup before once again looking to Lirka, "question do you smoke? probably should have asked that along with tea". As the query was posed her side poked revealed a small cigar case, herself popping open the top and offering it to her Spehi friend.
