Coffee and Love Triangles

Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
Republic warrior Patricia Susan Garter sat in a rather comfy chair, in front of her was an empty chair and a wooden table. She had called a woman she was very nervous to meet here to talk about what was going on between the strange love triangle that was going on. But a lot of things had happened recently and Romeo was going completely bonkers, talking about war with half the galaxy. It was something the two women needed to talk about, this was more than just who loved the guy the most this was the lives of millions of people. So Patricia sent this message to Katar via her data logger

"Katar. My name is Patricia Susan Garter and I love Romeo Sin. We have had a child together and now I am pregnant with another, I am not here to fight you but to ask for your help. Romeo has been mentally ill and he needs our help. Please come to Top Pot Cafe near the shadow keep. I am not armed and I do not intend on starting a fight, please if not for me than for Romeo. Thank you"

The message cut out and all she could do was wait for the woman. The twenty four year old agent sat there in her red dress and just wanted this nightmare to be over, she should of just stayed with him on Tatooine. Just be together and raise Erika in a simple life, she didn't deserve to be caught in this.

The message made the storm already raging within young Katar's mind only become even more turbulent. It had hurt her deeper than she'd let on when Romeo told her that there was another woman. But now, there was a child yet to be born with the same woman. It was like... Katar shouldn't even be there. She was just the girl in the background, stirring things up and making everything go wrong. She felt alone, and out-of-place. Who was she to tear a family apart? But she loved Romeo more than she'd ever loved anyone in the Galaxy before. She couldn't just let him go.

With a nervous sigh, she walked into the cafe. It didn't take her long to find the woman Patricia. She was one of the prettiest women there. She walked up to the table anxiously, looking at the ground and wringing her hands a little.

She was not wrong about the whole prettiest woman in the room comment, the woman positively glowed beauty and grace. She was a playhutt bunny and to say the least looked like she belonged on the cover a magazine. Wearing her tight little red dress she was typing a few things on her data logger going over some information on a case. She was still a formidable warrior and knew how to take care of herself in a fight. And her job was to do more than look pretty, she had served twice on Mannan and other combat operations against both the One Sith and the Sith Empire. She'd seen a lot of people die as well, good people die for nothing. She kept on her logger then heard the door swing open to let in Katar.

She didn't look up but she could see her just fine, years of agent training to be able to look at someone without drawing attention to yourself. She was very beautiful, so young and innocent. She sighed and she felt bad for what she had done, she brought woe and misery to this girl for her actions. Yes she loved Romeo and she wished she could take back what she did all those years ago, but it was time to take charge and be the mother she needed to be for her daughter Erika and their unborn child.

"You know you don't need me to tell you to sit down." She said with a small smile flicking the last few images off her holographic data logger. She looked up at Katar and her face was that of soft and gentle kindness and humility. She looked into Katar's eyes with her angelic blues and gave her a small nod that she wasn't going to yell or be angry. She just wanted this to work more than anything and save Romeo.

"Please sit, may I get you something? I will buy, it's the least I can do."

Cautiously, Katar took a seat across from Patricia. She politely shook her head at the offer of a beverage. "No thank you," Her quiet little voice said. Her big green cat eyes studied the woman, a bit amazed at just how pretty she still seemed. Her hands were neatly folded on the table as she thought of how to begin the conversation. She was never good around other people. She usually said maybe two words to people she barely knew. Romeo was the only one she ever really talked to.

A waiter pulled by the two and Patricia looked up at him and smiled. He was a young man, maybe in his early twenties with neat cut blonde hair and a bit of stubble. He had on a apron and collared dress shirt, and he looked so very young. She smiled at the man and since she couldn't have stim-caffe due to the pregnancy she opted for a smoothie.

"Yes, I will take the fruit smoothie and my friend here take the same." The man nodded and took off with the orders to make them so. Patricia smiled and spoke again

"If you change your mind it's there." She gave another smile like that of a happy mother and then sighed softly.

"Katar. I'm sorry about what has happened, when I was on Manaan I found Romeo and things just clicked you know? It was like I found myself with him again and it was as if we went back to the day when we were engaged and I was pregnant with Erika. I just missed those days, I was too young and stupid to know how good I had it. You have to know that I didn't know about you until a few days ago. I'm sorry." She genuinely meant that, she had no idea Katar existed until Romeo started spouting off about loving two women. Then she went digging and found out more until contacting her.

Katar looked down for a moment. "It's okay..." She said to Patricia. This woman seemed like the person Romeo would be perfect for. They'd been engaged and expecting when she'd left, and now she was back with a second child on the way. She seemed so happy, and genuine with what she was saying. "Erika looks like you," Katar said with a small smile. The girl was very sweet and extremely adorable. Katar didn't get to spend much time with her, but Romeo was always playing with her. He was his happiest then.

Patricia leaned forward and put her hand on Katar's very slowly and gently to show she was not threatening at all and she was very caring about her. She let her small soft hand rest there for a moment and she looked into the large green cat eyes of the woman, she really did have killer eyes and they were beautiful to look at.

"No, Katar. I am truly sorry about all of this, I didn't mean for it to happen. Now let's make this right, we need to do something or else a lot of people are going to die." She gently kept her hand around Katar's and her smile faded into a look of concern for not just herself but for her daughter and the families of the shadow dynasty.

"Romeo is talking about going to war with the Jedi, the mandos, and gods only knows who else. He's losing his mind and I don't know if I can talk him down by myself. He needs help Katar, and I know that even though he's made mistakes you love him as much as I do. So please help me." A small tear welled up in the corner of her eye and she just didn't know what to do anymore.

Katar knew what was happening. Romeo had started to distance himself from her. There were times where he'd actually... hurt her. She still had the cut on her head and the bruises from being thrown into a wall by him. Her other hand reached up and touched it for a moment. "He scares me sometimes. I don't know what to do." She replied, fear apparent in her eyes. If they were going to help Romeo, they'd have to find a way to get through to him. But how?

Patricia's agent training immediately picked up on the signs of abuse and a bit of rage flicked across her face. She put both of her hands on Katar's and squeezed them gently but tight. She gave the woman a firm look in the eyes and spoke with a little bit it venom dripping from her words. If there was one thing Patricia hated more than anything it was men who beat their loves, Romeo was getting worse and worse if he wanted to hurt this sweet angel

"Did he hurt you? Please tell me" she asked nicely but in a way that almost commanded an answer. She was not going to sit there and let this woman get hurt nor allow Romeo to continue hurting her whether he is Ill or not

Katar sighed, shaking her head a little. "It was only once. We were training. I hugged him. He got angry." He had told her that she was a naive little girl who didn't understand what was happening to him. And then, he threw her into a wall without a single warning. "He said that he was falling. I told him that I didn't care. I will fall with him. But he said no. And now, he wants to leave..." Her lip began trembling a little. She didn't want to think about waking up in the morning and realizing that she was alone again. It hurt too much.

Romeo was starting to turn into a real jerk, here he had two women who loved him more than anything. And one of which was having his baby, well another of his kids. And in front of her was a woman willing to turn to the darkside just for him, maybe Romeo wasn't even worth it if he didn't know what a great thing was. Patricia let out a sigh as well and kept her hands gently clasped around Katar's to comfort her. She was such a sweet girl and she didn't deserve to even have a finger laid upon her, she could see why Romeo loved her and wanted to keep her pure though.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that, listen we need to do something soon. Maybe if we just talk to him together and try to sway him, listen I have gotten around a lot in my life and I honestly don't care if Romeo loves you or wants to be with you. I don't mind sharing at all, but right now I don't think that's on the table with his current state of mind. We need to reach out to him." She said trying to gather more options for the two of them

Katar nodded. But what if he was past the point of talking? What if he refused to listen? "How can we get through to him, if words don't help?" She asked anxiously. She didn't want to hurt Romeo. But she would if she was left no other choice.

Patricia sighed and shook her head. Romeo wasn't that far gone, he could be saved right? He was worth saving and she wasn't going to sit there and do nothing, she was going to be a part of her daughters life now. And she was not going to have her daughter nor their child growing within her raised by a monster that hits and abuses the women he loves. A small tear slid down Patricia's bright blue eyes and she gave Katar a weak smile of hope.

"No one is beyond saving dear, we just need to find him and talk. Tell him that we don't care and that we love him, and that this needs to stop. I mean look at us, how could he say no." She giggled slightly, it was a bit forced with all the worry behind her voice. She didn't want to take Erika but if she had to she would
