Sam leaned in and smiled,

"No no. I'm simply a city girl taking her first baby steps into a bigger world. A Jedi world. I have questions, yes. But many of life's most troubling questions have no answers. ...Indeed, being a Jedi is all about having moving parts, working together. There is the species first. With all it's cultural learnings, it's languages, and expressions. Then there is the spirit of that person. A woman with all her complexities. And last there is the Force. The great wheel of time and natural law. All of these parts must work together. I, must work together. We, must work together. Such is the harmony that I seek in my meditations. A firm completeness of soul."

She shrugged,

"It's a complicated game. This life is. But you Knight Vael have shed some light onto that grand chessboard. And I thank you for it. Treasure the lessons that life has taught you, for I know I will treasure our talk here today. Thank you for your patience and for your unbiased understanding. It is truly, a gift."

Sam gave a nod of her head.

"Now. I have asked enough questions and the Force has spoken to my mind. I have nothing more for you. Hehe. Have you any questions for me before we part?"

The woman's words only made Gherron smile more as he shook his head. "It was nice talking to you, you are a very interesting person indeed. You have opened up my mind to even more possibilities, and for that I thank you. I have no questions to ask but one: Could we do this again sometime, under a more... casual occasion?" He flashed a small smile at the woman. He had truly enjoyed the conversation. Perhaps they could have lunch again at a later date.

It was a peculiar question since Sam found their current setting extremely casual. Perhaps he meant mere business, green nature, travel, missions, or something more romantic? It was hard to tell.

"Oh my, of course. Yes. Pardon my choice in location. I can be so superfluous at times. Hehe. ...Is there something else you had in mind Knight Vael?"

There were a thousand more conversations yet to be had, naturally. But further philosophies would come in time and in good measure. Sam had learned enough for a Padawan's consideration. And like any good lifestyle, there comes a moment when you must put away preparation and dive right in.

"Well, y'know..." Gherron thought about it, and his face deepened in color as he did so. Meanwhile, he found himself twiddling his thumbs absentmindedly as he tried to find the words. Eventually, he threw up his hands with a small sigh of exasperation. "Ah, screw it. Yes, I'm asking you out. Would you like to go on a date.? U-um, with me, I mean." It was obvious from his sudden change in character that he wasn't exactly the best with girls on a more personal level. While he was fine in professional situations, he was a different person altogether underneath.

She was honestly surprised. Never before had a superior asked her out before. Well, at least amongst the Order. She took a thoughtful glance at the table before speaking,

"Wow. I've never even considered it? ...By a Knight, I mean. I had no idea it was appropriate. Hmm. No. Best not too. Master Vosra would have my head. Good heavens."

It was mostly her convincing herself. Bad timing perhaps.

"Sorry. Hehe. ...But I've just decided I don't date my superiors. But ask me again when I make Knight Rank. ...Well? If, I make Knight rank. Hehe."

She waved away the comment,

"Yes. How about a raincheck instead? I think that would be much more appropriate. Don't you think? Maybe?"

Gherron chuckled and waved it off as well. He wasn't expecting a yes, which was fine. He was honestly jut curious what the woman's response would be. "By all means, its cool. I was just looking for something to fill my schedule other than basic Jedi business." He smirked a little at that. It was true, he was usually out doing what he could to protect Crouscant while other Jedi went elsewhere. It was fun, but he sometimes found himself exhausted after a day of it. Getti up from the table, he paid for his drink and turned to go. "It was nice meeting you, Miss Jhovna."

Oh pooh. He paid for his drink and everything. Good one Sam. Just kick him the balls why don't cha. Ugh.

"Oh right. Of course."

She seemed suddenly bewildered and stood up as well.

"Thank you for the audience Knight Vael. It was a pleasure."

Sam offered nothing more as he turned. She was quite sure that she had offended him. Though she wasn't all that sure how. Darn her luck with men. Next time she would ask better questions.
