DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Small: This hold out disruptor is idea for concealing on the person. It is so small it is easier to hide on the person that your average pistol
  • Faraday cage: A copper Faraday cage protects the essential electronic component of this hold out pistol, giving it a leg up against EMP and ion attacks

Strengths:
  • Pack-a-punch: This is a disruptor, with that being said, its a pretty strong hitter. It outclasses most all other pistols, just like a disruptor should.
  • Concealable: This disruptor is small, as in really small. It easily vanishes in garments, against clothing, and so on, making it harder to spot on the person than pretty much any other blaster pistol. Of course, its still metallic so sensors could pick that up, although the scanners would pick up less than another pistol, but as far as visuals go, its a lot easier to hide.
Weaknesses :
  • Limited range: This is a hold out pistol, its meant as a back up to last resort cases when someone is in your grill and you have no other way to take them down--or if you want to sneak up close to someone and pop a nasty surprise. Either way it can only fire at targets within personal range.
  • Limited ammo: The power pack and gas canister on this disruptor are pretty small and so by that, they have a pretty limited capacity. Even for a disruptor.
  • No safety: There is no safety mechanism on this pistol. The only count measure to keeping this blaster from firing off on accident (by something snagging the trigger) is the heavier trigger pull--three times that of you average pistol. To make up for this the trigger is three times bigger, intended for multiple fingers to squeeze down on it.
DESCRIPTION
Diplomats, doctors, politicians, and large business owners--all generally unprotected and noncombat beings. These people can and often do find themselves in the perils of danger in this harshly dangerous galaxy--and often their people cannot protect them from these beings. So as a last line of defense--the Doctor disruptor comes to the aid.

Ardgal has know the doctor [member="Rashae"] and worked with her on several missions, unfortunately, he has seen that she is rather unarmed when in the line of fire. To help fix this niche, the warrior designed the perfect hold out blaster. Small and compact, it stores easily with minimal incumbent and maximum discretion. When danger comes, all the user has to do is retrieve and pull the trigger(s). Its as easy as pointing your finger.

Unfortunately, the range is rather limited, but since this is a hold out pistol, its not designed to go the miles. At the range this is intended for, aiming is not an issue, and honestly, since its a disruptor pistol you don't really need to because it packs a pretty heavy punch. Even if you shoot someone in the leg rather than the torso, it would do seriously bad juju (even for armored targets. See the wookie link on disruptors). Sometimes all you have to do to fend off an attacker is just point a weapon at them, they will often get the idea and run away.

If Vader your boss didn't take disintegration off the menu, its meant for you. The Doctor is a pretty marketable weapon, often military or civilian law enforcement officers take this weapon as a back up in case things get crazy, or for when they are off duty.

All in all, its just a back up hold out blaster for characters to use.
