Raxus Secundus, SSC territory. A diplomatic mission to Raxus Secundus, hosted in the Separatist Senate Building (for historical reasons, the building retained that name despite the government of Raxus Secundus not being a separatist government with respect to the Sanctum), with Senator Klesta of Hosnian Prime representing the Republic, and hired security hands to oversee the diplomatic mission. Especially in those days where the Mandalorians would stop at nothing to hurt the Republic, as evidenced by various raids conducted by the Mandalorians in Republican territory. But there is also some risk factor coming from the One Sith in retaliation for the Kuat raid, led by some Ringovindians who conducted it for industrial reasons. At this time there are a lot of different security threats requiring the Raxus Secundus Senate to ask for outside help for security. But inside one of the many conference rooms of the Senate where state functions were to be carried out (mostly Senate committee meetings), the various representatives of different delegations were to have a state dinner with the speaker of the Senate.

"Utinni! We have a security alert! The Speaker has been killed!"

"What is it now, Brown?" the security grenadier asked Klesta.

For the security grenadiers, who normally stood guard inside the Separatist Senate Building, the attendees inside that particular state dinner were color-coded to ensure secrecy. Both the security grenadier and the Senator looked at the gory scene of the Speaker of the Raxus Secundus Senate laying dead and awash in blood and slowly advanced towards the corpse so that it could be brought to autopsy. And, of course, a security perimeter to be established around the Senate Building.

Filius hated working undercover. Sure, his client had promised him a lot of money if he used his skills in subterfuge to infiltrate the delegation codenamed "Violet", but he had never mentioned that Filius would have to attend a state dinner. As he fiddled with the unfamiliar fit and bells and whistles of the monkey suit he'd been forced to wear, he suddenly heard the commotion of the security breach. Following the rush of various senators and delegates, he arrived at the scene of the crime. He was impressed at the professionalism of the kill.

"What in the name of the Force happened here?" he said to maintain his cover.

Undin had no idea how he ended up in this dinner , he was just sent in name of Clan Kryze to represent.... Well, he had no idea, and he was no politic either.
There were so many forks and knifes on the table he had no idea what to do with all of these. He as analyzing them , when he heard the security breach.
He didn't want to get up just for a random murder, but hey, he was a Jedi afterall , so it was best to investigate.
When he entered the room he saw the scene of the crime. The scene was clear, no blood , no weapons , just a blaster hole in the man's chest.
He looked around , but saw no vents or anything else. The only entrace and exit were the doors behind them, and a door on the opposite side of the room.

Klesta was just... surprised. He was admittedly unfamiliar with Raxus Secundus' senatorial structure, but while the murder is being solved, Raxus Secundus mourns the loss of its Senate Speaker, who was at the helm of the legislative as well as the executive branch. That was perhaps a tad much in terms of power but the speaker doesn't have the ability to carry out executive orders or decrees by himself. Each bill must be countersigned by all the ranking members of the Senate before it becomes law. And yet when he looks back at the scene of the crime, there is no blood anymore. And nevertheless, the grenadier couldn't have cleaned the state dining room or else the grenadier would have been tampering with the evidence. Obviously the hired security was unfamiliar with the protocol of state dinners, but he couldn't suspect the hired security for no good reason. Maybe that's the Force playing tricks on him, maybe that's the content of the dinner. Whom the security grenadiers called blue, green or yellow were those who were most suspicious. (The security grenadiers weren't equipped with grenades, they just had some bearskin hats with their bright-red uniforms and were armed with standard-issue SSC line infantry blasters)

"Red, Violet, I believe that the killer must have been using a weapon that is both concealed into something that isn't a weapon and is also silent. Plus, according to protocol, I left my weapons at the main security checkpoint. It would be contrary to common protocol for me, as a senator, to carry the sort of concealed weapons that could have been part of the crime"

"I guess, if you're honest, you would have no concealed weapons; however, honest senators in democracies were rare commodities. Search him!"

Klesta was subjected to a full-body search by the grenadier that escorted him inside the room where the crime happened. He could readily see himself into a diplomatic incident if he ended up being found as having killed the speaker of the Raxus Secundus Senate. That would mean the end of his career as a Senator, almost assuredly.

Filius was subjected to a similar search, though his only weapon was a very small knife concealed in his boot that was not found by the guards, probably because it was so small that he was literally standing on it. Filius could have laughed at the guards. If he didn't want them to find his weapon, they wouldn't.

"If you're done frisking me," Filius said, "We should probably get to the task of figuring out who murdered this man."

In truth, Filius was just looking for an excuse to slip away. He really didn't want to be here now.

Undin saw that they were checking for any weapons , and he couldn't be separated of his sabers. So when the two guards came up to him , he waved his hand around and said "I have no weapons." , like his master had thought him. The guards then repeated "He has no weapons." , and moved on.
The Force was with him, like it always was.
As [member="Filius Stellarum"] said that we needed to find the murder, Undin responded "As soon as possible violet, as soon as possible.".
He then started checking the body for clues when one of the guards said "Hey! What are you doing there? You're altering the scene of the crime!".
He couldn't hide his identity anymore. He had to say something or he would be locked up and taken as a suspect.
He then rose up and said "I'm a Jedi in training. By so, my duty is to research and figure out what happened to this man.".

"This crime is most puzzling but maybe checking with the possible affiliations of Blue, Yellow or Green we could perhaps have clues. I do not believe any of us would be the killer"

So there is nothing new to be learned inside the room where that state dinner was to take place. And yet the security guards were forced to admit that Klesta did follow protocol that night, and carried no items that contained silent, concealed weapons in them. Perhaps if he read some of the more specialized political newspapers, preferrably those editions that immediately predated the crime, and with a proper analysis of the polls, he would have clues as to whether the crime was motivated from within or without. But often crimes perpetrated as attempts on lives of planetary leaders are politically-motivated. The killer's employer could be major faction-backed or the killer's backer could be internally-backed; a big, polarizing internal issue could have triggered such underhanded tactics. But the Mandalorians must not be ruled out by that logic because the topic of that diplomatic mission is Republic-related. Yet the prime suspects are Sith factions.

"Red, Violet, we know the One Sith and the Sith Triumvirate have made enemies among the Sanctum member worlds. But while the Sith Triumvirate successfully defeated the Sanctum's armies during the Eighth Battle of Ruusan in defense of their capital, the cost to the Triumvirate may have forced them to take a more covert approach to fight the SSC. As for the One Sith I would have expected them to target Ringo Vinda rather than Raxus Secundus"

"Why would the One Sith target Ringo Vinda before us?" the grenadier asked, before he could guide Klesta to the library.

"My last Senate meeting back on Yutan was with one of the survivors of the Kuat raid. Apparently the Republic called upon the expertise of a consortium, Ringovinda StarYards being a member of said consortium; they led the raid on Kuat Drive Yards but the other survivors of the raid say it is ultimately to build a very large bulk freighter, not to build combat ships"

(KARK, I got a really good post and then I accidentally closed my browser!)

Sapphire hated politics. One, they just talk about the problem instead of solving it. Two, it's way too boring. But this time it's murder. Now that's cool. Sapphire immediately hated that thought, that was insane. They had a meeting at the murder scene. When she got there the scenery was weird. There were guards there, patting people down. Mind tricks... they were easy. Sapphire's now dead master taught her the skill.

"No need to check me, I have no weapons." Sapphire waved her hand as she spoke, tricking the guards. Sapphire walked in, there was blood almost everywhere. Sapphire looked around, she recognized three of the people here. They were the ones who recruited her. "hello guys, catch me up. What did I miss?" Sapphire asked.

Fancy social events with an exclusive guest list were one thing. They were a chance to meet new people and establish new partnerships, but more importantly, they were dull. Comfortingly, wonderfully dull. All the small talk and inedible snacks and tipsy waitresses - it was all so predictable.
Fancy social events where murders happened, however, were an entirely different thing. Those were scary and tense and the kind of event that Daska had never expected nor hoped to be anywhere near. However, by that point she'd been a businesswoman long enough to know that you rarely got what you hoped and even less frequently got what you expected: which was how she'd gone to the meeting expecting one and instead gotten the other. If regular social events bothered Daska, then a murder was going to completely ruin her week.

"Please, what sort of woman do you take me for?" Daska said with more than a hint of irritation as the guards checked her. "Honestly..." And it was true - she wasn't the kind to bring weapons with her. Her real weapon wasn't made of metal.

"Sorry for the delay," she said airily as the guards let her go through. "Would somebody be so kind as to explain what's going on?"

The people identified as Green and Blue just appeared in Klesta's field of vision. They appear lost, one of those have been additional hired security, the other was apparently one of the marquee guests, the Speaker thinking that Voss opening a new location on Raxus Secundus could have been a good idea to carry out. But why Raxus Secundus when the Wheel may have been a juicier target? Or Alderaan? And he felt building a list of suspects would require a list of motives, on which he made no progress because he felt the need to have had researched current events as they pertain to Raxus Secundus. He was admittedly more familiar with the threats from without as compared to the threats from within, but he felt that he couldn't afford to neglect the internal threats, or any indication of external meddling in internal affairs. That said, he addressed both Dasha and Sapphire...

"Utinni! The Speaker of the Raxus Secundus Senate has been assassinated here! The prime suspects are not even one of those color-coded guests! The killer used a concealed weapon that also featured silent blaster shots. Usually such killers are backed by outside parties, and if it is a space wizard, the prime suspect appears to have had Sith-faction affiliation"

"If there is any space wizard here, can any of you try to track down an individual with the ability to carry out mind tricks and Force-cloak?" the grenadier asked the hired security.

Undin continued searching the body, nothing but a couple of papers with the speach for tonight written on it.
He then noticed as they called Sith space wizards . Ha! , he chuckled and replied "They are not space wizards as you refer to them. If they were wizards they wouldn't be able to choak you all the way across a Star Destroyer. Anyway, yes I could probably track him, if he stops cloaking."

Filius chuckled. He could track a man with his eyes closed, or at least one eye closed, and didn't need a single bit of magic to do so. Everyone left traces, traces he could find. His original plan to vanish was replaced by one to have a little fun and maybe make some money. Filius stepped forward and knelt beside the body.

"Forget your space wizardry," he said, activating his cybernetic eye and scanning the body for any sort of trace evidence, "I'll find this guy."

OOC: Just need to know what evidence Filius finds, if any

Sapphire walks over and doesn't go to the man but instead the kitchen. Sapphire inspects the fridge, no not because she's hungry, but for evidence. Then answered the question, "probably.."

Klesta treated a hunt for suspects as simply one more aspect while the other five players in this one life-sized Cluedo game were to assist the grenadiers who, much to the chagrin of the two Jedi among the players, were considering any and all Force-users as space wizards. But the galactic game of thrones was an important possible motive; nevertheless it couldn't possibly be the only one. Some NFUs across the galaxy, Raxus Secundus included (even though it is the property of what many describe as a magocracy) may wish the death of FUs, yet few such groups would even use space wizards to eliminate other space wizards.

"I see several possibilities, most of which are involving the galactic game of thrones: the Sith Triumvirate, the One Sith, the Mandalorians as well as some anti-Force-user groups. Yet I feel highly skeptical that a FU-hater group would use a FU to kill the Speaker of the planetary senate"

"Why? The Speaker was a NFU"

"And to the eyes of a FU-hater group, a NFU that collaborates with a magocratic faction is politically almost the same as if the Speaker was a FU"

"Sir, we found some traces of stygium in the room's air"

"Stygium?"
