Closing a Door

Her connection with the device was quite different than the one Yuroic had with it. It sought to corrupt him, but it called to her. Jairdain having already been dark felt its temptation to use it for more closer to her heart and in her mind. She had been bred to use it. It had been a part of her when she was sith. So by destroying it, it would almost be like killing a part of herself.

Taking a new view on the situation, her eyes narrowed at it as she held the device in her arms. It was a cancer and needed to be destroyed. Her tears still falling, a bit out of fear and anger, she set the device down again. Pulling her lightsaber off her belt, she ignited the blade, it's still color still crimson from her sith days. This she could not see though and in her focus it didn't matter to her.

One hand came out and picked the device up with the Force, holding it up so Yuroic would see it clearly, Jairdain let out the most pain filled cry or yell and swung her saber through the Device. The two halves fell to the ground and crying once again, she fell to the ground on her knees. Her saber turned off and rolled out of her hands. Sobbing into her hands now over her face, she felt a great weight had been lifted from her mind.

Yuroic watched as she finally destroyed the phobis device. A great weight lifted off himself as well, the corrupting whispers no longer screaming in his mind. He moved to Jairdain and held her tightly in his arms. Lifting her up, he carried her out of the area. His mind freed from whispers and taint trying to take over his mind. Teleporting them both back into the Dark area, he continued to carry her to the speeder and drove them far from the area before speaking to her.

As he stopped the speeder, he held Jairdain close into his chest, stroking her hair gently as he hummed softly in an attempt to calm her. "It's over, we can start afresh. Stronger together now." He whispered as he attempted to comfort her.

The shock to her mind and system was great enough that whatever Yuroic did with her, she couldn't resist. Where he took her she couldn't tell, but felt when they left the Nightmare Lands. The silence was golden to her and for the time it took for them to travel, Jairdain slowly came back to her senses.

The accepting comfort Yuroic gave her was priceless and there was nothing she would ever be able to do to repay him. However, a new future was in front of them and she was content.

"How do you suggest we get that new start?"

Her hand came up as her gaze peered past him, but Jairdain was clearly paying full attention to him. Lightly running her hand over his face, she allowed it to stray back behind his head. Once there, she would pull him in closer to give him a kiss if he allowed it.
