Close Encounter of the Third Kind

Cathul just had a patient who gave her a crate containing enough songsteel to forge a beskar'gam out of it as payment.
Visibly the next person to come at the Mandalore Psychology Clinic wasn't a patient.
That one was an alor'ad of a clan that supplied perhaps as little as one patient.
Then again, very few clans had the manpower to send many a patient.
Perhaps did he have a score to settle against Cathul; then again he won the Songsteel Sweepstakes fair and square.
Such occasions where patients could actually give out such items worth a lifetime or therapy were very rare.
One Titan Kryze had to ready his weapons without drawing them just yet, but Cathul wasn't the kind of lady to run like a hare.
Not even when she proposed a duel when the challenger would gain a crate of songsteel no matter what he did to prepare.

"We may disagree on how we approach mental healthcare,
since I'm a baat'kaysh, I have seen my share of Mandalorian patients being threadbare,
But if you fight well today, you may win a crate of songsteel for use in your own suit of armor!
Just make sure you don't accidentally scratch your own suit of armor!"

The baat'kaysh is left wondering just who could listen to her warnings about mental healthcare neglect.
She wanted to take care of it in a fashion most direct.
But she needed to get ready to fight, using the Force, her all-too-fast wits and her lightsaber.
In the face of that duel neither she nor her opponent would waver.

Titan walked into the room sand saw a twi'lek there
her attire proved that she wasn't a millionaire.
He heard he talk about armor
she definently wasn't a charmer.
But that wasn't to say she looked ugly,
rather she looked on quite smugly

"Today we fight for practice in order to prepare for conquest, but let us not destroy your house,
rather let us go out to the fighting house."

As he waited, he saw the Twi'lek waiting,
which Titan found quite irritating.

Cathul locked the door of the Clinic on her way out.
She first stowed the big piles of paper and then she was getting ready for her bout.
She stood ready to ignite her red-hilted, white-bladed lightsaber.
At the urging of the patient that came for the songsteel, she moved the pile of blubber
That she herself called her own body.
Which was the instrument of her rhapsody.

"We're both eager to serve Mandalore and her gods!
Baat'kayshs are no longer sons and daughters of a lesser clod!
Today I'm getting a good feel
Of combat; today you shall earn your crate of songsteel!"

With that said, once out on the street, she ignites her lightsaber.
No longer will she have to rely solely on paper!

She had a lightsaber
Titan had thought she would pull it out later
And use her fists instead
But, as Titan rubbed his head,
He realized that he was wrong on that accord
Titan's preferd weapon was a Beskad, but today he was using a steel cord.

Titan readied himself and waited for her to make the first move
It was a fight to the death or when someone gave up would the rules approve
of it being a win.
titan would win again.

A steel cord? His opponent wasn't a Sith Lord!
Cathul would attempt to block the cord,
But the cord became hard as rock!
Yet she knew better than to mock
An opponent that didn't fight
The way space wizards would normally fight.
Because she is a witch, she feels a duel can make her compel
To cast one more spell.

"A fight to the death? It's crazy!
Don't think your win will come easy!
All you have is a fighting chance!
It takes two to prance!"

Would she hand out the songsteel?
Or she would die to another's steel?
She didn't feel at all confident in the slightest
To face a combatant with her mind at its heaviest.

"It is only to the death if you do not give up.
Methinks that your combat skills our equal to a pup."
Titan responded while flinging the cord towards her feet, if it caught she would fall on her face.
His attacks steadily increasing in pace.

Titan was confident in his skills
for they had earned him many kills.
In battle and in fighting rings,
as such he knew that repetitive pain stings.

Cathul may very well end up being on the losing side
And needing good footwork to turn the tide.
But because she casts an alcohol spell
She may just as well
Stand and swing her lightsaber once more
When she dodges the steel cable at its core.
Her fighting chance may still last
So long as she knows when to get her lightsaber past
The steel cable; she finds a way to learn Force agility
On the fly; she had the raw capability
To swing a lightsaber while dodging
A steel cable capable of wringing
Repetitive pain beyond measure.
But she could still resist the pressure!

"You just made me learn Force-agility!
I needed just the right opportunity!"

Titan threw the cable once more,
This time he aimed it for her her face, it tore
Through the air. and would slam her in the head
"I will win." Titan said.
But, just then. Her saber hit him in the side.
Burning flesh and wounding Titan's pride.

Titan fell to the ground,
But he quickly hopped up and swung the chain round and round.

Cathul knew better than to fight a fellow vod to the death
Especially since she had no use for that shibboleth.
She dodged the steel cable once again
But she was to avoid being hit by middlemen.
She decides to call the fight
Before the pain on her right
Becomes too much for her to handle.
She just couldn't light a candle!

"You fought well with the steel cable today
You have earned the songsteel crate along the way!
This is a no-contest: may the songsteel be of use
In a beskar'gam or a beskad; use it according to your muse"

"Thank you for your generosity." Titan replied,
"Shall we go inside?"

He knew that in the end, he might have won.
But for now, the fight was done.
Perhaps another day,
He and Cathol would fight together in the fray.
If that happened, Titan would know
That he could trust her by his side.
And that she wouldn't hide.
