At face level, Claudia is anything and everything a person could dream of. Charming, sophisticated, intelligent, attractive (and humble about it!) and aware of the people and things going on around her both in the immediate vicinity and beyond. She is classy, knowing what to say and when to say it - and when not to say something as well. There is also an air of mystery that surrounds the woman, yet this only seems to add to her appeal to those around her. She can wine and dine with high society, or easily attend festivals and parties with each tier of citizen without batting an eye. And it all generally makes her a delight to be around.
Beneath the surface however, Claudia is a literal soul sucking monstrosity. While she wears her public face unquestionably and flawlessly, there is nothing truly pleasant about the woman. She is ruthless, cares for nothing but her own gain, and will go through anyone and anything to get what she wants or needs. While she does reward loyalty, she has no real feelings or care for anyone but herself. Everything - and everyone - can be turned for profit in her eyes, and she would not be above destroying everything she has at the drop of a hat to keep herself in her position of power, as she has the means to rebuild again, and again.

- Arrogant - This isn't even a strong enough word to describe her. Claudia does not believe that she will ever be brought down
- Vain - Despite her appearance, she is of advanced age, and she cannot stand the fact even brought up in conversation
- Two Faced - There is no real allegiance to anyone but herself. She will play sides liked a well tuned instrument, pitting people and companies against each other while she keeps her friendly facade, and not bat an eye while doing it
Background
Life had been most unkind to Claudia, from the time she was a tiny tot, up until her adulthood, things just never seemed to line up for her. Family had never been something there for her in defense, nurturing, or anything of the sort, and therefore she had no nurturing nature of her own when the time came. A daughter had been born of her, and yet she had treated the child no different than she would an acquaintance. She kept Cordelia at arm's length throughout the entirety of their time together, and as soon as she was able she passed the child off to the first person who seemed to see potential in her.
But it was from there that Claudia seemed to find a purpose; she had barely put any effort into raising a child, and then had someone take it from her hands with no questions. So perhaps that meant that she could raise other children and perhaps even gain a profit from giving them up...
And from there, a single moment in her life ended up launching an empire. It had gone from a mere act of getting rid of a burden in her life to slave trade, as well as hidden, organized fighting pits for slaves. All of this of course has been kept very underwraps. It is Claudia's best kept secret, and with the woman's resistance to mind games she has managed to keep it that way.
Over the years, she has managed to rise through society; credits go a long way, and they have served her well. Her public face is flawless, and any who do not know of her underground deeds would think her nothing more than a well poised, well mannered, delight of high society. There is also her granddaughter to take into consideration when dealing with Claudia; when out with her grandmother the girl is quiet, well mannered, and always does what is asked or told of her without question no matter where they are, or who they're around.
Beyond all of that, the matter of Claudia's age is questionable for any who have known her for any length of years, but her secret to this is well kept as well. But in the case of her youth, it just so happens that not all of the slaves who cross her path go to buyers or to the pits. Believe it or not, there is a fate worse than both when dealing with the woman.
