SPECIAL FEATURES

  • It provides ample defenses against the most common of threats, energy attacks from blasters, disruptors, and all the sorts, and kinetic attacks from vibroblades, and slugthrowers and ripping. While it may not provide much against Lightsabers, you wouldn't want to get hit by those anyways. It is meant to be a survivable material, reliable with great longevity on endeavors that have you running through harsh environments, mostly a battlefield. It more durable than Class-B Battleweave.
  • In spite of its heavy weight, the armor is still very flexible and is easy to move around it. If you can take the weight, that is.
  • Unlike its inferior version meant for others to use, Class-A has solid defenses against Sonic Attacks.
STRENGTHS
  • Thick, strong, and reliable. The material is design to last many battles and skirmishes.
WEAKNESSES
  • The material has no protection from lightsabers whatsoever. Though, this doesn't mean much in the long-run, as the difference between average defenses and low defenses is a matter of one to two hits. Besides, if you are smart, you'd wear something under armor made out of this that is resistant to lightsabers if you are going to face a Jedi or Sith.
  • It has no protection against blunt and forceful kinetic attacks like punches or concussive explosions as it is, in fact, a textile and is too flexible to defend against such attacks.
  • Hot and heavy, the Class-A Battleweave is harder to move around in due to its weight in comparison to Class-B, though for Deryn's strength the difference is negligible.
DESCRIPTION
Deciding to step in armor creation, Deryn creates a fabric that acts much like his own coat's protection for the marketplace. The Class-A Battleweave is the superior version of the Class-B Battleweave made specifically for Deryn. It is heavier than and more protective than Class-B.
