OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Cement the nature of Clan Tabalhar and their role in the galaxy, especially with their siding with the Outer Rim Coalition, Underground, and Alliance-in-Exile, bringing in the D&D/Dunedain Rangers into a more tech-focused Star Wars role, both for NPCs to serve as assistants, plot-givers, and an organization for PCs to become a part of and get involved with
  • Role: Members of Clan Tabalhar are primarily independent mercenaries who work odd jobs around the Outer Rim where their talents and expertise are most beneficial. With the collapse of the Galactic Alliance, they decided they could use their skills as light infantry and wilderness experts to aid the resistance.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Clan Tabalhar
  • Affiliation: Clan Tabalhar, Outer Rim Coalition, the Underground
  • Classification: Light Infantry, wilderness experts
  • Equipment: Every member provides their own equipment- frequently light beskar'gam, slugthrower rifles, blaster pistols, occasional bowcaster, one or two actual bows, vibroblades
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Availability: Unique
  • Deployment: Limited- no more than two or three at a time
  • Strengths & Weaknesses:
-Wilderness Experts- Members of the clan are highly skilled at living in the wild worlds of the Outer Rim, frequently being scouts, trackers, explorers, hunters, and marksmen. They can live off the land for months at a time if need be and are fully capable of caring for their kit while they off the edge of the map
-Mando'ade- They are Mandalorians, with the martial culture and honor, including the emphasis on family, combat skill, and war-like attitude.
-Thirty- There's not more than thirty members of the clan, making it very small by Mandalorian clan standards, lacking the resources and connections of the major clans.
-Low-tech- Spending most of their time on underdeveloped and backwater worlds, Tabalhar members prefer to use lower tech equipment and weapons that are less susceptible to weather and harsh terrain, putting them at a disadvantage against more professional armies
-No formal training- The only training that clan-members undergo is Mando'ade training, with everything else being left up to the individual and derived primarily from first-hand experience
-Unstructured- They are a Mandalorian clan, not a paramilitary unit, and there is no combat hierarchy or chain of command. They function as individuals rather than as a unit.
  • Description:
Initially founded by Kiyron after finding that he and his philosophy did not mesh well with the preexisting Mandalorian clans, still prior to the Mandalorian Civil War and its transformation into the Mandalorian Empire. In his travels with various Special Forces, intelligence agencies, and bounty hunters, he had come across others like him. Those who pursued his line of work not for the money or glory or the thrill, but to use the skills they possessed in violence as a way of making the galaxy a better, safer place. These were often loners and nomads, roaming from one job to the next. Many even came from primitive worlds like he did, carrying the same skill in scouting and marksmanship.
The idea came to him to create a clan of his own as a way of forming these individuals together. A small group of individuals with great skill as individual light infantry soldiers, force-recon, and scouts. They operate independently for the most part, roaming about the galaxy as they see fit, aiming to do whatever good they can for the normal citizens of the galaxy. Tracking criminals, eliminate raiders, hunting dangerous predators. This was the basis of the name Kiyron chose- Tabalhar. Mandoa for patrol, he envisioned the clan as on a constant patrol and against evil throughout the galaxy, with the clan members as the patrol officers who stand between those threats and the ordinary citizens of the galaxy, writing down a code of behavior that he added to the Resol'nare and Supercommando Codex.

    1. Never use your skills to oppress or terrorize civilians
    2. Carry yourself and act in such a way to bring respect to yourself and to the clan, and ultimately to the Mando'ade- be professional, never appear drunk in public, no reckless use of weapons, no endangerment of civilians, no hostages.
    3. No Sith- Oppose their schemes to the best of your ability
    4. No slavery- liberate those you can and bring justice where you can. Same with pirates.
    5. Adhere to the Supercommando Codex & Resol'nare
    6. Support the clan funds
    7. Always support a clan-member when asked

After founding the clan and ensuring that it was stable, Kiyron stepped down as Alor and handed over command to Aldara Sunfell Tabalhar, his intial alor'ad who co-founded the clan.

Within the clan, there are only two ranks, the Rangers and the Pathfinders. Ranger are full-fledged members of the clan and have proven their competency by passing the initiation test. Pathfinders are the newer members of the clan, who are still learning, and have yet to pass the initiation test, which varies depending on the member, but usually involves surviving alone in the wilderness for a month and successfully completing either a hunt or an assignment.

Hello there,

This reads more like an organization than a combat unit, especially given the stated intent of this submission. I'd like you to check out the organization template in the Lore Section, I think it's more fitting for a sub like this.

From there, you could make a combat unit affiliated with this clan, or retool this sub as such.

I will sub it as an organization. Does look like a better fit after examining it all more closely.
