Talon's ship touched down to the ground the Axe Class Corvette had landed a couple hundred meters away from his destination. On the speakers in his ship he said, he said, "I haven't seen Aegis in a very long time, last time I was here, they tried killing me." With that he let out a little chuckle. "Hopefully my family accepts me back after so long." Shaking his head he returned to paying attention to the windshield. A light blizzard had formed causing the vision to be limited.

Using the sensors and the coordinates he had he landed the ship in a field. As he landed the snow kept coming down, but the vision started to clear. Looking out the windshield there was a hill with a red tree on the top. A smile cracked his face under his mask as he continued through the ship. Talon came threw the ship looking for his Mandalorian companion. This was a reconnection for him, as he went to storage, he grabbed a cloak off the wall.

In parts of Mandalore it was warm, but in the valley, it seemed to always be cold. The animals here were very limited survival was difficult and the weak died. Opening the back he quietly waited there, snow filtering in through the new hole. Grinning he stepped out the back into the small layer, it barely needed to separate for his boot. Grinning he waited for his companion.

Scald Scald

Scald looked at the crisp, white snow beneath her boots. Last time she was here- it was blood red. Ignoring that morbid thought, she glanced up to where she saw a ship starting its landing process. Yup- that was her accomplice.

Fana was asleep on her back, somehow finding a way to nuzzle between her rifle that was slung behind her. Starting forward, she slipped around the side of the ship, preferring that to a direct approach.

She cameup from the side to see his figure looking amazingly dramatic as he stared out onto the hills.

“Long time no see.”

"Yes, yes it has been a while, I hope you have been doing well during the time we parted."

With that he start walking forward, the Mandalorian leaving heavy footprints behind him. The snow had continued coming down, but seemed to give way to more visibility, giving a view of a tree on top of it, the leaves remained. While it was the winter months the color remained a lush red that was in contrast with the white terrain.

As he neared the tree he said, "I remember planting this, it was me and a friend named Fel, another Mandalorian of Aegis. She loved her demolitions, we use to toss them out into the snow to see who could make the bigger explosion." His mind thinking back onto Fel he shook it laughing quietly. Pulling a beskad as he needed it to show peaceful intentions.

As he neared the top he turned his head to look at the village stopping. He stared, the village, the ruins, large wood spikes sticking out of the ground, stabbing though the skulls and helms of Mandalorians. Talon dropped his beskad, it sliding down the hill. The worst part was he knew every Mandalorian who had their head skewered. The one that disturbed him most, was his Fathers helm a body still attached.

Scald nodded as he answered her before starting forward. They climbed up the hill until they reached the tree where Talon spoke.

He laughed at this memory and Scald smiled slightly. Home was always a nice place to visit- not that she knew of such a place.

He pulled out a beskad that would show his peaceful intentions and the finishEd climbing the hill. Talon turned to the village- the beskad fell from his hand.

Scalds eyes widened at the sight- Mandalorians, heads skewed on sticks. It wasn’t a new sight to Scald- but it was Talons home, and that made a difference.

She looked to her friend, his blank helmet was staring out at the still red snow. Then she turned back to the bodies- finding herself unable to look away. Not, this time, because of her sadistic nature, but in remorse for these Mandalorian. Scald lowered her head, muttering words in Mando’a.

Fana was silent on her back, head also lowered. There was still silence. The only sound was the wind whipping around the corses. Scald wondered how Talon was taking it- because the helmet never shows.

Talon didn't know what to think, this were the people who had betrayed him, tried to kill him, his family. Though even through what they had done he had always cared about their wellbeing, whatever had happened here was most likely to prove a point. Though Talon had his suspicions, he couldn't figure out what happened, the two thoughts in his head were, his partner or they were dealing with traitors. That wouldn't explain why his father was up there with them.

Walking down he past his beskad that lay in the snow, being covered by new layers with the light weather that was occurring during this. Quietly he walked to the spike with his father, the dead Mandalorian's positioned where he would cast a gaze upon Talon. Looking away he started to walk around the people, the ground stained with the blood of long ago.

One of them had a bit of the corpse under showing, the helmet not that Mandalorian's own, this could be seen by the small fit. Looking at it, the body under was mostly rotted, ice forming over its lower jaw. Continuing his walk around, he eventually moved past peering into the destroyed town. There he fell to his knees his eyes on the ground, quietly sitting there, not knowing what to do.

Scald watched silently as Talon walked around the corpses, stopping for a moment at one Scald would guess was his father. Then he looked over the ruins before falling to his knees- his helmet tilted towards the snow. Scald slowly stepped forwards, her boots crunching in the soft snow.

She gazed upon all the corpses as she walked slowly up to where Talon was still staring at the floor.

Scald has never been good with most feelings. All she knew from a young age was to hide your emotions- she had grown since then, but she didn’t know how to help with others pain. No- she was foreign to it.

Fana had hoped off her back when they had first stopped, and now she was sitting with her head lowered.

Both of them had become friends with Talon, and cared for him. They hated this.

Scald stopped when she was behind and to the left of her friend.

“I will remember them, tonight.” She said softly- of course they both knew what she meant. She would honour his fallen family along with her own, singing their names in memory.

It was all she could do- she didn’t know what else she could do. But she would remember them- and if necessary, help avenge those fallen.

Talon quietly sat on his knees looking there, all other sounds seemed to disappear to him, the wind had stopped. This silence was short lived after Scald had said.

“I will remember them, tonight.”

Standing he nodded, not saying a word as he continued forward, he walked into the remains of the main house, it was exposed to the sky, it had been burnt down many years ago, it didn't appear they had time to rebuild it. Sitting in the center he found a throne, one of the helmets of the fallen. This was new, must've been made as a joke, a sick cruel joke.

On the ground, a body lay, frozen over, the head missing from it. This caused Talon to get curious as he went closer to throne picking a helmet up he flipped to where he could see inside it. There was a skull, all the cells gone from it. This appeared to be the same throughout the throne. Kicking it, Talon caused it to collapse, the helmets hitting the ground, heads rolling out of many.

What had happened here was a massacre, Aegis stood no chance, probably caught in the dark. Turning back to the helmets he remembered the names that wore those helmets. There was something else he had to check, turning he walked back out, continuing his silence walking towards the barracks, where he had slept many of times.
