OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To sub a perfume with unique effects.
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Perfume
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Perfume
  • Method of Consumption: Applied to the body, typically by spraying the neck or wrists.
  • Average Life: A few hours
  • Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/ Purpose: Do not consume! Those who are sensitive to airborne products may experience irritation in the eyes, sinuses and/or lungs.
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Perfume has been alchemized in order to repel spirits, demons, and other entities residing or originating in the Netherworld.
  • Applying the perfume to an individual who has been possessed by a Netherworld entity will draw them out of their host's body.
  • The properties of the perfume also extend to individuals within a meter radius of the wearer, albeit in a milder form.
STRENGTHS
  • Ghostbuster: Spirits, demons, and other non-corporeal entities generally do not have a sense of smell, but something about this perfume absolutely repulses them. They will feel a strong desire to avoid whoever is wearing this, and therefore will be unlikely to attempt to possess them.
  • Skinjacker's Bane: Are you or a loved one suffering from an unwanted possession? Spritz a little of Chthonic on the host body and watch the exorcism unfold.
  • Projection: A possessed person who stands near the wearer (usually within about a meter, unless they really douse themselves with the stuff, in which case the projection may be even greater) will feel a "tugging" sensation which will only grow stronger the closer they get or the longer they remain nearby.
WEAKNESSES
  • I Could Smell You From a Mile Away: Once an entity has been exposed to Chthonic once, they tend not to forget it. They will recognize the sensation (or the smell, if they are possessing a body with the necessary olfactory glands) and it will be easier for them to ignore or resist its effects. That said, most spirits have a hard time describing to their fellows what it feels/smells like, making it difficult to warn others.
  • I'm Goin' Ghost!: An individual who has been willingly possessed will find it much easier to resist its effects.
  • Bug Spray: Individuals who are sensitive to airborne products may not appreciate Chthonic. Just don't spray it around them.
DESCRIPTION
You're walking through the woods. No, a swamp. A swampy forest full of wet moss that squishes under your bare feet, leaves that splash you with dew, and branches which splatter your head with droplets every time the wind blows. It might as well be raining. Don't go wading into any pools of water, you might get leeches or ticks or something else that will suck your blood, ew.

You sit down on a log, and because you're feeling a wee bit peckish, you remember that you have a candy bar in your pocket. You reach into your pocket, and find that the candy bar has melted into a soupy goo of pralines, caramel, and chocolate. The smell of the candy is out of place in this marshy atmosphere, a sharp sugary note. You have to suck the candy out of the wrapper its stuck to. Now it's all over your face. This causes you some degree of discomfort. Unless you're into being messy, in which case I guess you love it, ya freak.

You reach into your pocket again and pull out a string of licorice. Now, why didn't I just eat the licorice?, you ask yourself. It wouldn't have wound up all over your face, where it's likely to attract insects and who knows what else in these woods. You imagine bugs biting your face, and you crush the licorice into a ball in your fist out of annoyance. When you open your fingers the licorice has spontaneously transmuted itself back into star anise. That's where licorice gets its licoriciness from.

Out of nowhere, someone dumps a basket of flowers on your head. Most of them are purple. You now smell purple. You are shocked by this and your jaw drops. The same person who dumped the flowers on you sticks a cherry in your mouth. You suddenly realize you've been dead all along. Actually, it was just a dream. WAKE UP!

This is interesting however since it does use alchemy

Generally speaking the more powerful the submission becomes, the less of them there should be. The production range of a submission with alchemy or nanotechnology ranges between Unique and Minor. Please use the history and other parts of the submission to flesh out its power and potency. A Factory Judge is allowed to ask for more depth, if they believe that the submission needs a little bit more work to it.

It can't hold mass production
