OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Chrysalide Ts'Kiza
  • Designation: Non-Sentient
  • Origins: Holy City of Gehinnom
  • Average Lifespan: Estimated 6-7 years
  • Estimated Population: Semi-Unique

    Description
: A Ts'Kiza is a massive insectoid predator native to the jungles of Lao-mon, prized for it's savagery and uncanny ability to produce violence. The Brotherhood of the Maw made use of these creatures as war beasts, braving the danger of taming the ravenous carnivores where possible. The Dark Voice and Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Solipsis Darth Solipsis , looked upon the savage mega-predators with possibility, seeing further potential in the Ts'Kiza through the art of Sith Alchemy. Its two forelimbs were enhanced to carry twin pincers, each capable of crushing earth and bone beneath it's weight. Each appendage was covered in razor-sharp barbs to snag and shred flesh akin to it's natural cousins on Lao-Mon, it's once two-toed feet has been gifted with a third toe on each leg for further support and thick scopulae at the end of it's legs. This makes the creature capable of crawling on nearly any surface with adhesive footing, making it's effectiveness as a killer increase tenfold. The two pairs of wings on its lower back are vestigial, and do not allow it to fly, but can boost its powerful legs in long-distance leaps to reach its prey. The creature's thick, chitinous exoskeleton has been stripped of it's camouflaged nature, more vibrant color and hardened chitin perfectly suited to take far more punishment than it's natural cousins. The bone-crushing mandibles of the Ts'Kiza have further been blessed with fangs capable of rejecting acidic venom from within, the same venom that slowly eats away the creature from the inside, stripping the creature of half of it's life span.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I Atmosphere
  • Average Height of Adults: 5 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: 8 meters
  • Skin color: Green
  • Hair color: N/A
  • Distinctions: Only females have been molded into Chrysalide beasts as of now, it is theorized that that males would be easily created via the same methods but due to the overall size and aggression of the females they were chosen over the male populace.
  • Races: N/A
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive
Strengths:
  • Eating Machine: A Ts'Kiza is a deadly predator: relentless, fast, and strong, with forelimbs that can shred even heavily-armored infantry and droids. They can smell prey even inside light vehicles, and only reinforced armor plating will stop them.
  • Sneaky and Durable: The thick, camouflaged carapace of a Ts'Kiza allows it to blend into the jungle, making it a perfect ambush predator. The carapace can resist small arms fire and even infantry-grade grenades; most melee weapons won't even scratch it.
  • Acid: The Chrysalide Ts'Kiza is capable of rejecting acidic fluids from it's fanged maw, a dangerous substance that serves as a double edged sword as it's produced from within the creature.
Weaknesses:
  • High Metabolism: A Ts'Kiza must constantly eat while active, or it will starve due to its body's demands. It spends most of its time hibernating. If its stomach becomes full (or it cannot catch its prey) it will immediately seek to hibernate again.
  • Fire, Shock, and Sound: Sonic weapons and electric shocks can disorient and badly hurt a Ts'Kiza; these are the tools used to train them, and if employed by the enemy, they can be used to drive them off. A Ts'Kiza's carapace is also quite flammable.
  • Acid: The same acidic substance used as a defense mechanism by the Sithspawn is also a deadly agent slowly eating away at it from the inside. It is estimated that the acidic fluid within the creatures will strip it of half it's lifespan and with prolonged exposure can eat away at it's own chitin to the muscle beneath.
  • Apex Predator: The Chrysalide Branchlurkers will attack and devour anything other than fellow Chrysalides, they will often spare normal Ts'Kiza as long as something else is available to eat, always prioritizing the largest available target first. They are nearly impossible to condition like their predecessors can be, often turning on the ones that attempt to tame them. So far the only successful method to control a Chrysalide Ts'Kiza has been direct mental control over the creature through the Force.
  • Infertile: Cannot reproduce, incapable of producing offspring. Must be created from altered Ts'Kiza via Sith Alchemy.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Carnivore. A Ts'Kiza eats near-constantly while awake, capable of consuming its full bodyweight in fresh meat in a day.
  • Communication: Mouthpart clicks and trills, rustling of legs and wings.
  • Technology level: N/A (Nonsentient)
  • Religion/Beliefs: N/A (Nonsentient)

General behavior: Because of the tremendous amount of calories required to keep a Ts'Kiza's huge body functioning, the megapredators spend much of their time in a state of hibernation, slowing their metabolic rate to conserve energy. They lurk on the trunks of huge jungle trees or in leaf-covered trenches they dig, half-dreaming, until their keen senses detect a potential meal. They then explode into motion, ruthlessly ripping apart whatever prey has wandered nearby and gorging themselves on the warm, dripping meat. The only hope to escape them is to flee extremely quickly; although the Branchlurkers are fast, they are wary of expending too much energy, and won't chase their prey too far.

If they encounter a herd or crowd of prey animals, however, they will continue to attack and give chase as long as they can continuously eat to keep their energy up. This makes them terrifying warbeasts if 'domesticated'; capable of eating up to their own tremendous bodyweight in meat, they will continuously ravage a battlefield until killed or sated, ripping their way through infantry formations with horrific ease. Their primitive brains recognize no tribalism, however, and training cannot fix that; beast handlers must be careful to keep them pointed in the right direction, lest they get turned around and eat their way through the forces of those who unleashed them.

The Chrysalide Branchlurkers are infertile, and thus seek out no means of reproduction or pairing with another Ts'Kiza or even Chrysalide. They are cannibalistic, willing to feast on native Ts'Kiza other than their Chrysalide brethren if no source of food is available.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
When the Brotherhood of the Maw conquered Lao-mon in 864 ABY, the Brotherhood sent hunting parties of marauders into the jungles to capture the creatures and bring them back to Goshen War Camp to be conditioned for use as War Beasts. After several successful deployments of the ravenous beasts the Dark Lord of the Sith and Voice of the Maw, Darth Solipsis Darth Solipsis , experimented with the carnivorous super-predators through the dark arts of Sith Alchemy. Twisting the natural order to bend to his will, the Dark Lord molded the beasts into far superior hunters and deadly Sithspawn. Rebirthed from cocoons within the bowels of Gehinnom within the laboratory of Darth Solipsis, the wretched creatures were caged up and shipped off by the Dark Lord's attendants for use back on Lao-Mon where they would be tested on the rebellious Shi'ido for their continued defiance against the Brotherhood's iron grip over the planet.

Darth Solipsis Darth Solipsis I'm not sure how you managed to make these more terrifying but you did a heck of a job! Just two small adjustments and this will be good to go:
