Aris Reynard

Take a Walk on the Wild Side
Location: A Jungle Planet
Purpose: Complete a Job - Track and 'subdue' a creature for the assistance in preserving the species

"Okay. Inhabits the jungle... Recently left the deep brush and has been seen around the lesser dense parts of the jungle, not far from civilization... That must have been how he heard about it.." The brunette sipped from her canteen, her gaze down at her data pad as she leaned against the metal structure of the gate to the local 'bus'; a transportation system the locals of the planet used to travel between towns. They could take one out to the lesser populated, smaller villages that weren't as 'commercial', allowing trade and a boost to the economy.

Aris was getting ready to board such a bus; an open air large scale hover type vehicle that allowed about ten or so occupants (including the driver) to travel back and forth, allowing a little space for each to store or hold their goods as they traveled. The final destination of said 'bus' was one of the further villages, a smaller town focused on farming the local fruits and crops the planet provided; unfortunately it also meant that it was closer to the jungles where it lay further from the small city the plants inhabitants used as a major hub. The freelancer had one job this time around, an odd one she'd picked up from an even odder individual.

The man was overdressed, as if someone was readying for a ball or high scale event and then dumped them in neon and tweaked their wardrobe until it sat somewhere between fashionable and laughable. This potential 'employer' spoke of preservation, a museum of sorts built on science and the idea of helping dwindling and unique species regrow or thrive, to better peoples lives.

It was an interesting concept to Aris, but more importantly she needed the credits; so long as she wasn't tasked with killing something then it would be a perfect job. Death wasn't something she enjoyed seeing or bringing upon others, not that she'd done it often; well, purposefully anyway. If finding and capturing this creature for preservation could possibly continue this existence of this species as well as help others, even if she didn't know or trust all of them; so long as it was for the betterment of others, then it was fine right? Right?

Aris would board the bus, sitting in one of the middle seats, her gaze focused on the data pad as she looked through all the information her employer had provided her with regarding the creature she was tracking; feline in shape, sharp teeth and claws, large, thick two toned fur that helped it blend in while it stalked its prey. It didn't sound like anything she'd ever heard of before, but she was more than interested in seeing what it might actually look and act like. Thankfully there would be no one else going after this creature, right? After all, he was one of the few who knew about it and he'd sent her after it. Right?

Since he started "his new life" his new policy was: "doing good for no matter ways or reasons", after all he only know how to be a soldier. So why try to pretend to be a diplomat or politician. It was way more easy for him, see things by objective way rather than ideologically. Soldier don't have ideologies, they get missions. Missions often has objectives based in - hopefully - common good or the people's better interests. So that was his comfort zone: doing whatever necessary for the people. He was often "ok" in killing people, most times, because odds are people who are wanted dead often get that predicament for they have done bad choices in life, and / or bad things to other people. But animals? He was always sensitive about animals. Even if he is a hunter for a living. If the animal seemed to be rare or endangering species, he usually wouldn't accept the job. No matter how much credits involved.

So he only accepted this job because the employer guaranteed him that this specific animal, wasn't rare or endangered. And also because it was, allegedly, putting some villagers in danger with constant incidents and attacks. Being from a small village himself, he knew very well how complicated this things could be. So he got a head start and travelled to small unknown planet where this dangerous threat was menacing villagers. He landed his V-Wing Cloudburst some kilometres away from the village, close to a rocky area and then walked to the village. He liked to do recon while in missions like that, so he could get acquainted to the environments and surroundings. That way if he get stranded some how, he at least would know where to start to get back on course.

So it took him a while until he arrived that village. It was a small village alright. Maybe a few thousand people living there, no more than 10k possibly. Bigger than the one he grew up to, for sure. And he, obviously, stood out as person in the middle of the crowd. He was a tall, red-skinned, strong military looking guy, fully armed, walking around with a commando droid alongside him. On top of that, he couldn't speak, so whenever people interacted with him, either got the "silent treatment" back, or some growl that apparently none of them could understand - wookiee apparently wasn't a very common language to that people. Besides that, most of them were either aliens or near-humans, and his looks made him kinda intimidating to most.

Utankan had his blaster rifle and his knives holstered, and wasn't trying to hurt anybody. So he looked to his droid, and waved his head affirmatively, as if saying "go ahead" to his companion. The droid took some steps foward, and started to talk.

Beexco:
Greetings, my Master and I, are very pleased to know you. And we were instructed to talk to a certain Ti Mies. Could any of you, please, tall us where is she? We were sent by Saz Ikkell.

(OOC: Ti Mies would be a Cerean female, and Saz Ikkel, our sleazy employer, would be a male Corellian. And FYI: Beexco's voice sounds like a digitized James Marsters, with British accent and all)
