SPECIAL FEATURES
- Tractor/Pressor Beams
- Pulse-Mass Interdiction Mines (6)
- Deflector Shield Generator
Strengths:
- Versatile. The Rasakkar-class patrol boat can snipe, cripple, snare, drag, obstruct and otherwise mess with just about anything.
- Nimble. Pretty maneuverable and intensely fast, the Rasakkar can probe and circumambulate heavy formations to find opportunities - or just avoid the fight altogether.
Weaknesses:
- Toothless. At standard range, against a moderately nimble enemy, the Rasakkar only has a handful of relevant weapons emplacements, unless it lines up a really good shot from the big turret.
- Fragile. For its size and mission profile, the Rasakkar has decent shields and armour. That said, it's a small ship. A few solid turbolaser blasts will knock it out of the fight.
DESCRIPTION
The Rasakkar is a Chiss patrol, interception, interdiction, and exploration ship. A signature vessel of the movement called the Chiss Primacy, the Rasakkar offers mission flexibility in a compact, incisive package. The name 'rasakkar’ is derived from an ancient Chiss stiletto. This ship is great for hunting pirates and launching precise raids. It suffers against serious capital ships, and is too diversified to serve as a competitive flak escort. Fleet commanders may find it useful for probing enemy priorities and responses, or for firming up starfighter assaults.
The Rasakkar supports a crew of thirty-five Chiss, with room for a dozen passengers or.prisoners. Its consumable stores can last two months. Though its cargo bays are relatively small, it can lift over five hundred tons of extra mass if necessary - even externally, via reinforced tractor housings. Reconfigurable cabins allow the Rasakkar to serve as a diplomatic transport.
