The Chase Life Racewear Jacket is the traditional Chase blend of fashion and functionality. This jacket is made of soft bantha leather and Deflex providing protection at high speeds. Whether on a swoop or airspeeder in the open air the jacket is capable of protecting against the elements even at high speeds, with a tough kinetic absorbing material and a high collar wrapping around the neck and throat. Stylish and form fitting the jacket is further reinforced with protection against fire, an unfortunate side effect of many crashes.
Although made for civilian use like other articles in the Chase Life line the jacket has incidental protection. As it was made to insulate against crash or fall it has high kinetic protection preventing debris or slugthrowing weapons from penetrating it. The need to protect from fire from crashing had given the jacket an average protection rating against plasma based weapons like a blaster. The jacket gives full coverage of the torso and neck.
