DESCRIPTION
The Chase Folding Fan is an elegant self defense device as well as a fashion statement. The fan frame and folding aperture is made from Concordian Cedar, known for its resistance to blasters and overall durability. While the remainder is made of shell spider silk a product that is able to deflect blaster bolts. This fan is an innocuous item that wouldn't arouse suspicion and yet in the right hands can become a deadly weapon. When treated the aromatic wood hardens allows the fan to be used as a bludgeoning weapon striking devastating blows against an unarmored opponent. Strikes to the head or thrusts to vital points are also common among practitioners wielding the folding fan as a weapon.

The width of the fan may be used to block incoming attacks, the shell spider silk being rated against both blasters and vibroblades and would even allow someone deflect incoming blaster bolts like a Jedi with a lightsaber, assuming the wielder had the reflexes to do so. The fan also stands up to ballistic projectile weapons, although holding onto one of the fans after the hit from a slugthrower would indeed be a challenging feat.

For all it's selling points however the fan is still a fan. The width and height of the fan is a poor substitute for full armor or a shield and the attack power of a blunted light weapon is minimum, still as a weapon of surprise and stealth in a place where no weapon is expected it holds up.

The fan comes in a variety of colors and custom patterns may be placed on the leaf of the fan displaying any decoration or emblem that a purchaser could come up with. This fan is available to customers through the Chase Marketplace and anywhere Chase Products are sold.
