LFG Characters to fill in a backstory

First I want to thank everyone whose been helping me through the slump I've had with my Katarine character. You have all been so kind and helpful and it means so much to me.

One person suggested that the issue I'm having with the character might be the time displaced angle. Specifically they pointed out:

"Being time displaced can be isolating for a character and it really relies on you telling the story of Kat figuring out what the future looks like with her in it. If you're not into that, it's better to have her be from the current era. That way you can have connections whether it's hey we were younglings around the same time or going through the trials together or just trained at the same temple for a spell. It's so easy to have those connections"

This advice makes a lot of sense and I think it might explain why Kat has always been so isolated. She's never quit "fit" here because her history evolved from different sites with different writers. So that got me to thinking... maybe the answer to this problem is to do some past threads that show her in this time period, growing up with characters who would have been doing things around the same time as her.

Would anybody be up for that? Realistically if Kat is a master that would make her around 30-40 years old. I think that is how people do it now since some people are still padawans at 20? If I have those numbers wrong let me know.

But what I'm looking for is writers who would want to do stories to "fill in" her history on this site.

Ideas: (these take place in the past)

• Adventures with other Jedi who would have been padawans 20ish years ago
• Ex romances
• Friends
• Mentors or people who trained her
• Enemies

Basically anything you can think of where you've met her in the past.

It's an interesting idea to me and one I think might be worth a shot.

Well, I dunno how Kas or Tyron would fit in with Kat. They've never met her before and I haven't written with you yet in any threads with any characters between us.

I am open to ideas and suggestions just unsure what to do, how to fit them in, etc.

Not sure if it's what you'd be looking for, but if you'd be open to her having an old senator friend, Loris here would be good for it

Ran and Kat can totally be friends! Maybe when Ran joined the Jedi several years ago, Kat helped with some investigating into Ran’s past as a Sith experiment to help her find and free some of the other similar experiment subjects. (Something that Valery Noble actually helped me with when I first joined site. I wonder if she remembers.)

 

[Kain Aldore]

If you're interested Kain here just got out of his own extended stay in Cryo. He might have left the order a bit disillusioned and not be a jedi anymore but with your timeline they probably would have been padawans around the same time. There's even a good chance she would have been around when he left the order. Maybe she resents him for leaving, or instead its a bitter sweet reunion between old friends!

It's an interesting idea to me and one I think might be worth a shot.

It could be an interesting idea because in my mind lucaant is in his mid 20s or early 30s and around 20 years ago he escaped from the cult/battle he was imprisoned in. Effectively just becoming a 12-16yo in the streets doing whatever to eat.

Perhaps when still a padawan Kat could've seen him roaming the streets and have a background interaction?could be benefiting for me to build a better backstory with other writers that can then justify/complexify Lucaant's current mental and physical state
