Character Wounds?

So a thought occurred to me while RPing with Verz Horak today.

As a part of the strengths, weaknesses thing, should we have Roleplayers list their various wounds and scars, such as my ankle wound? And post the link to the Roleplay you got it from? Old wounds that you don't even remember anymore because it's been so long or wounds that are a part of your character you don't need to get a link for, just list them.

Anybody else agree?

I agree, that is a major weakness in combat. It prevents mobility for you. For wounds in not-so-consequetial spots like the cheek, it provides soft muscle tissue that can easily be exploited. Wounds to the arm limit strength output and flexibility most often. SO overall, YeS iT iS a WeAkNeSs

As long as people don't start reading their enemies' weakness lists for stuff to use to claim advantage (thank goodness we have good people and judges), this is a good solid idea.

And by exploiting, do you mean taking complete advantage over every single weakness of the person or do you mean, "Oh, I'm RPing this guy, might as well go over his stuff," Kinda thing? Because I confess to the latter.

Lol, no. There's a real difference between:

A) I read your bio and write the following. "Now that the fight had begun, Ashin noticed a touch of awkwardness in the way her enemy's left leg moved. An ankle injury, maybe. She circled left and rushed in, trying to get her enemy to put weight on the possible old injury."

and B ) I read your bio and write the following. "Ashin noticed a weakness in the ankle and moved in to take advantage of the weakness. She shoved her enemy into putting weight on his back leg, and as his leg buckled she (fill in the blank with violence)"

Always let the injured person dictate the extent of the injury - that's all I meant, lol

Okay. So you can take advantage of weaknesses, but you can't control the other Roleplayers, like this.

Thought as much. But, a guy's gotta eat right?

Question though, wouldn't it make sense if you healed your wounds in a bacta tank? Why would one would keep a permanent injury when there is a way to get rid of it?

Apologies if this is too profane, I will remove it if need be.

I guess the point I was trying to make was that you can't assume that a weakness on a list will give you an advantage, and it's up to the owner of said weakness to make the concession - it can't be totally assumed.
