Rik Perris
Vigilant Soul
I try not to do this, most of the time, but... well, I never have, actually, and I told myself I'd do one of these when I hit at least 400 posts with this guy, so, here we are! I figure enough of you are at least somewhat familiar with Rik, given he's been my main for the better part of over two years, and/or you're familiar with myself as a writer, so have at it! Do be honest, I can take critique, I've been doing this RP thing for too long to not be able to.
Questions taken from here.
Some questions/feedback I'm looking for ICly:
1. Do Rik's choices feel consistent across threads?
2. Does Rik leave room for other characters to act and respond?
3. Does Rik feel too powerful, too passive, or well balanced?
4. When you have read Rik, does he come across as predictable or surprising?
5. If you are aware of Rik's story, what kind of arc would you like to see him have next?
Questions for me:
1. Do my posts flow smoothly, or do they feel choppy or dense?
2. Is my dialogue natural and distinct, or do I need to try and better distinguish different voices?
3. Do I rely on certain words, phrases, or sentence structures too often?
4. Does my writing convey subtext effectively, or feel too on the nose?
5. Am I easy to collaborate with?
Extra Question:
1. Is there any other characters of mine you'd like to see more of? Why?
