Character Creation Questions

So, as a newbie, I do have some questions relating to character creations. (Yes, I red the rules. I just have some follow ups.)

1: So, aside from the obvious banned species, are we allowed to use anything from either current cannon or legends? If so, does it matter in terms of s species history, or is it just whatever?

2: If a character is a force user/magic character, are they allowed to automatically be a master-level? If no, is there a process to letting them build up to that level?

3: If a character has something like a personal droid or a slave that follows them around, does that have to be it's own character creation? Or can they act as like a NPC essentially?

4: Who ACTUALLY shot first? (Optional answers lol)

A: Yes. If it is a custom species, you can even expand on the details and make it a submission for the Codex.

A: Yes, you can start as master-level, there is no process. Just be aware that writing powerful and being acknowledged are two different things in RP.

A: You can have an army of NPCs following around without a submission. However, there is the Codex forum where you can submit specific NPC individuals, units or lore to explain what and who they are. Character Creation is for PCs.
