Change of Pace

Valkyrie Headquarters

It wasn't often that Jorryn was able to pull herself away from the duties of an Inquisitor in recent times, but whenever she had been able to the Echani often found herself visiting her significant other in this part of the galaxy. There was a sweet lull in her step as the Inquisitor made her way outside of the towering sculpture, still riding the positive feeling of seeing her partner instead of worrying about what work would be like when she came back.

It was a curious business that the Valkyries dwelled in, something that Jorryn tried not to let her thoughts dig too deeply into.

She understood the importance of their duties as recruiters on the battlefield, taking in those that showed promise and potential to the Sith Empire and ending those that didn't. But when it came to the Netherworld...

The Echani didn't like to think about it.

As Jorryn made her path towards the vessel back to Yavin IV however, a curious sight pushed all these thoughts to the side. Some poor girl in a grey dress covered in all sorts of cuts and fur was handling a few animals, a weasel that seemingly ran wherever it wanted and some sort of scaled creature trying to make it's way towards her back. The only way that the Inquisitor could tell she belonged here was the sense of calmness coming from her even with the somewhat chaotic sight that the silver-haired Sith saw in front of her.

"Pardon me, darling..." Normally Jorryn would mind her own business and ignore this girl, but Vaylin had a way of grounding her sense of superiority and bringing her down to earth. "Those pests aren't hassling you are they?"

An outstretched hand would tell the girl that Jorr was ready to yank them off her when given the word, though her face would say the lack of finesse she would use in dealing with them.

The young woman of greying hair made her way from the offices above, though not looking entirely in the right place, no person made way to stop her. The odd one out of the bunch likely. Passing by some would feel the calming aura that resonated from her form, any angers or worries passing out of the mind for the brief second they'd spend in her presence. Not a trait many would normally think a Sith would possess, though here she was, in the face of death and still very much alive.

The woman compared to everyone else in the building was quite the mess. Clothing choice was rather interesting, a noticably old dress now pulled up as a shirt, tied in a large knot behind her unintentionally almost looking like a rabbits tail, though more circular and of cloth. The rest of her was coated in fur and dust. Aside from the clothing choice, was the two creatures latched onto her, a scaled lizard like beast, and a strange looking elongated weasel with fur shifting in tones from blue to white, its eyes black beads in the small face.

Noticing Jorryn stop to stare, her steps slowed ever so slightly and for the most part she avoided eye contact rather skittishly, the other woman piercing holes in her with a gaze without perhaps meaning to.

"Oh.. no they're fine, just restless today." She said as she motioned the hand away without trying to be rude.

"I've been stuck in the office all day and I told Kal'mora we would be doing field work..." Vaulen motioned to the blue weasel who'd make eye contact with Jorryn, its eye turning yellow for a moment as it did.

The hand fell away carefully as Jorryn's eyes stared fixed on the creatures fluttering around the poor girl like a tree, still somewhat unsure about if she should listen to the woman. The animals were cute enough, sure. But the Echani was unable to fathom letting such beast leave you in tatters, concern still plastered on her face as she turned to look at the young girl.

"Well I suppose if you're sure about it..." Her voice trailed off as the girl mentioned a name, her hand waving around the rodent running around her as she said a name. "And Kal'mora is... that?"

The concern in her voice only grew heavier as she realized the young girl was talking about speaking to that rodent, something that only grew more worrying as the blue furball's eyes turned yellow for a flash as Jorryn pointed to it. The Echani blinked twice, unsure if what she saw had been real or not.

"Are you rounding up beasts for the Valkyries then? I wasn't aware that the had a beast master to handle these things for them."

Vaylin had shown Jorryn around the Headquarters of the Sith's foremost women warriors, but the Echani had never noticed any help shipping in beasts before. Perhaps they were expanding their horizons.

Still. Jorr was feeling awful generous today after visiting her girlfriend, and sometimes assisting the help could become beneficial if she ever needed help.

"I'd feel horrible if I left you to have your clothes ruined any further by these creatures." She let the pity drip off her tongue, perhaps exaggerating it a bit too much. "It looks like they've done a number to you already."
