Major Neldorn Dage: Born to a Corellian father and a Chandrillian mother, Neldron had lived most of his life on the farms. Knowing full well that his parents were too poor to pay for University, Neldorn enlisted in the Marine branch of newly formed Galactic Alliance at age 23. Dage was an accomplished soldier participating in the Stygnan Campaign as well as the Battle of Coruscant and the Battle of New Jedha during the Second Great Hyperspace War. to train and lead a volunteer militia group. Dage hesitantly accepted the task though he wished that he was back on the frontlines fighting again. Though he may be a little grumpy and strict, Dage is nonetheless committed into turning a ragtag bunch of farmers and city dwellers into hardened soldiers ready to defend their planet from any attack.

After The Common Soldier Corps bill passed, many of Senator Eboi Seth's advisors urged him to start building a defense force. Though Eboi resisted the notion being a person of peace, he began to see the benefits of having a standing army ready to fight. While Eboi left the construction of the main army to GADF veterans who resided in Chandrila, he oversaw the creation of the militia believing that the people must be prepared for a possible invasion. Eboi chose Major Neldorn Dage as the person who would lead the militia feeling that he can connect to the average citizen given his poor upbringing and the fact that he is a skilled soldier with plenty of experience. Major Dage personally handpicked the first 30 volunteers based on their experience with firearms and survival skills. He called him his "Chosen Men" and the group along with Eboi began to design the uniforms as well as their main weapon. Dage chose the Brionelle Pattern Rifle, for its simplicity and stopping power. Dage also felt that the weapon was easy to maintain and it would teach the volunteers accuracy and precision.
Dage would take in volunteers from age 18-60 and would take them under a rigorous training regimen 6 days a week for a year. Volunteers were taught, how to fire and load their weapons as well as training in other blaster weaponry, survival technique and guerilla warfare. Despite the moniker: Chosen Men, women were allowed to join the volunteer force provided that they pass the training. Afterwards, Volunteers were awarded their uniforms and their rifles with Dage telling them: "You are Chosen Men, here at a moment's notice. Wear your colors with pride and defend Chandrila with your lives."
The Chandrilian Militia though small and lacks experience compared to the other GADF units, make it up with sheer willpower and determination. They will never back down and the only way to stop a Chosen Man is to kill them.

- Description: The Chandrilian Militia consists of volunteers with limited or often times no military experience. Also known as the "Chosen Men", the militia is tasked with safeguarding colonies and going behind enemy lines to distract and disrupt while the main army finishes the job. They are also tasked with acting as scouts and guides for soldiers and travelers. The Chosen Men are recognized by their green uniforms and often wields the Brionelle Pattern Rifle.

- Goals: The purpose of the "Chosen Men" was to be ready at a moment's notice whenever the main army goes off to war. Chosen Men are comprised of volunteers trained rigorously to provide emergency services, defense, and serve as a backup unit.
- Reputation: The Chosen Men are a newly formed force created in the wake of The Common Soldier Corps bill being passed and reactions in Chandrilira are mixed. Many of the aristocratic citizens however are visibly uncomfortable seeing more "peasants" patrolling their cities. However, amongst the average citizen, the Chosen Men are seen as a symbol of hope due to them defending their lands. Many poor people join their ranks seeing it as an opportunity to make a difference or gain experience when they join the Galactic Alliance Defense Force.
