Champions of the Jedi - [Faction Interest Check]

An Interest Check
IC PITCH

The year is 858 ABY.

Following the events of the Netherworld and the Great Galactic War, there is no part of the galaxy that is ignorant nor deaf of the powers of The Force, nor the heralds of it's terrible powers. The Jedi and Sith warriors of the Major Galactic Factions. Yet thousands of civilizations still remain without the access, the knowledge, or even the slightest protection from this strange cosmic magic. That was. Until now.

On Denon, the home planet of the once powerful Iron Lords. A call has gone forth throughout the galaxy. That every galactic civilization which desires the knowledge and power to defend their home against the magics of the Force, can send their best and their brightest to learn, to train, and to become: The Champions of the Jedi.

The Champions of the Jedi is an Anti-Force organization, run by real Jedi Knights and Iron Knights, that seeks to empower individuals and organizations of Non-Force Sensitives with the knowledge, the equipment, the attitude, and the martial training. To fight off even a Dark Lord of Sith in battle.

Strengthening the galaxy against the corruption of the Force and it's crazy Acolytes. One Champion at a time.

OOC SHENINEGANS

I'm looking to start a Jedi Academy for Non-Force Sensitives.

The idea is we'll give any PC who joins a Jedi education equal to a Knighthood using modern equipment and artifacts. These with which to engage a Jedi or Sith Lord in battle and come out conqueror.

Why?

Because often the only thing keeping most NFUs from actually spanking a Force User in an Invasion scenario is the knowledge, attitude, equipment, and training to get the job done. And I believe we need a central active force of writers who can facility that kind of distinct learning environment for our characters. Notably. Without the usual hatred or vagrant terrorism associated with most Anti-Force factions advertised thus far.

How?

Electro melee weapons, Lightsaber proof armors, Jetpacks, Teras Kasi CQC, Sonic Weapons, and Anti-Force artifacts such as Voidstones. Etc. Stuff we all know and love already. Just magnified on much larger scale of production than we usually associated outside of a Major Faction. IE: We'll teach the galaxy the Force's weaknesses. Then the only thing they'll have to worry about is Fleeting. Lol.

LFG?

I'm looking for instructors and specialists who wouldn't mind contributing time, money, and effort. IC and OOC, to making this a wildly successful training group. Aka: a Minor Faction with a glowing sub-forum and reputation big enough to draw characters in from every corner of the galaxy.

Reply below if you'd be willing to volunteer! And, as always. Thanks for reading! You rock! :D :p

UPDATE: - Do to a case of bad timing, I've decided to hold off on this idea until after the Galactic Event. Thanks to everyone who messaged me about it. Ya'll rock. :D

This is honestly a character interest that intrigues him. He always believed the entire galaxy was full of non-believers and honestly accepts that both sides are of evil. Honestly would most likely need a character one on one discussion but I am interested in this.

[member="Jegy Sesara"] - No problemo'. We can totally do that. :)

Is your boy good with learning from Jedi or Shard Knights? As, I'll likely have most of the instructors sourced from the ranks of Force Users.

Jegy is more of a teacher than a student. He may have issues with Jedi and Shard Knights is a large unknown. He will most likely work together with everyone and consider training those in the art of not only defense, but artifact handling and a few other things that he learned over several hundred years. But if you are looking at training Jegy, the percentage of success is less than four.

[member="Jegy Sesara"] - Pfft. If it ain't broke. Don't fix it. :p

I'm sure after a proper IC interview with Lynette, I'd be happy to have Jegy on the instructor team. After all, what's a good Hogwarts RP without a proper DADA teacher anyway!

This, is a Hogwarts fansite, right? :D :p

[member="Spencer Jacobs"] - Whoa.

I mean. I think I've got a few characters who would love to sit at the feet of Spencer and hear her talk the Force. Crazy cool. Love to have ya. :D

Just. Mind the Voidstones and Ysalamir in the artifact's room. I can't have the staff going *poof* just because they accidentally walked into an Anti-Force bubble now. Lol. Plus, your wife would kill me. :p

I'd like this thread to stir a bit in circulation before I start throwing down the real-real. Thanks Jegy. :)

House Arenais will back any financial needs for this endeavor, promoting the safe-keeping of Galactic Society, for those most especially without the aid of the Force.

I will also find time to invest in this faction with either Veiere or [member="Caedyn Arenais"], if not both.

Welcome to the dream (maybe-we're-really-doing-this) team. Happy to have ya.

Don't worry.

I'll make T-shirts. :D :p

If this is still going on here's a few possibilities:
Tasha Blackmoor was indeed a Jedi in the past, but essentially tossed the title away. She was actually set up however to understand the limitation of the force and exploit them when fighting other force users, by actively utilizing technology rather then pure skill in the force. She uses sonic weaponry, wears armor that has good lightsaber resistance, and actively practices non-lightsaber/non force-combat techniques, which make her more of a soldier who can be a Jedi, then a Jedi who can be a soldier. Even her lightsaber works well against other peoples lightsabers. So she'd very likely be willing to teach, and offer use of her company to assist. Though this does depend on how they're actually going about it, if they're more just teaching them how to fight force users then she's all good. But she won't be teaching that the force is evil or anything like that.

Also: Mag is a character I had tried to use. But I found he was going to be far too hard to use as he was (slave). I'd be interested to see him set into this as he can't use the force. He's a big Zeltron man who was previously...a slave dancer. So yeah. I'd need to find a way to get him over to these guys however, whether they rescue him and he decides he wants to help. Or whatever works. He has rather little experience though...with anything outside of dancing, manipulation, and brute force (which he very rarely employs). I think it'd be fun to see him end up in this kind of stuff.

[member="Tasha Blackmoor"] - I'll probably revisit this idea in late Sept, or, following Act III of the Devestation Event. Thanks T. :)
