SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Tibanax Gas used to excite the Disruptor bolt reduces the "Flash" of the bolt itself as well as unspent gas that expels form the barrel. Thus making it harder to pinpoint the position of the rifle when fired from a distance. Added with a Blast Silencer increases effectiveness in hiding the position of the Shooter.
  • Isotope-5 Charging Cell increases the potential energy of the bolt being fired. Thus allows the rifle to fire at extreme ranges before the bolt would dissipate due to losing energy. At shorter ranges, it allows the shot to have a much higher damage output.
  • Weapon Attachments allow for ease of use, such as a sling to switch to a back up weapon because changing guns is faster than reloading, Bipod for propping the rifle on the ground, barricades, or other flat surfaces for a more accurate shot. Various Scoping and Targeting measures for distances of Long, Medium range, and even a toggle switch on a holo-sight should someone rush the shooter. Hair Trigger to prevent the shooter from their trigger squeeze to deviate the angle of the shot, and a Pulsor to remind the shooter they have one shot left in the current gas canister.
STRENGTHS
  • Class D disruptor Sniper Rifle means that should the bolt hit a target, it can completely disintegrate the victim. Extreme shut down potential.
  • As a Sniper Rifle, its meant to have an extremely long range in which the weapon can function. Thus, assassination attempts, or just staying well out of range of any Jedi Sense means a better chance to take down the target.
  • Silenced, and a near flash-less Disruptor Rifle means that its incredibly difficult to find the position of the shooter by means of visually seeing the unspent gasses of the rifle expelling from the weapon. Thus the only sounds one would hear from a distance is the hum of the bolt flying past someone, and the impact on target. When in close proximity to the firearm, the manual operation of the bolt, and the trigger pull is all that should be heard.
WEAKNESSES
  • A Sniper rifle that has the kind of power to wipe someone from existence, means its heavy, and bulky. Not used for clearing or close proximity to enemies. Sure you could maybe get one or two shots depending on how good a shot you are, but in realistic situations, its better to let the weapon drop to your side with the sling, and pull out a close range weapon.
  • Five (5) shots per gas canister for this weapon. Expelling a large dose of energy means you have limited shots when using it. Requiring more often reloads for faster shooting. While in most cases it should be one and done, if in a battlefield environment, it means a lot of time spent grabbing the next canister/magazine, instead of firing.
  • Kicks like a mule. A controlled explosion to send any kind of round down range, means that the opposite effect is directly thrown through the stock, and into the shooters shoulder. Even with heavy materials, to add inertia to the weapon, with bi-pod and a Autosteady gimbal, it still kicks. But its manageable.
  • Low rate of fire due to the requirement of the Bolt-action recharger to be cycled after every round. This expels unburned energy from the firearm, as well as recharging the chamber with fresh gas so the next bolt can be fired. While the bolt is a non-reciprocating bolt, thus if the weapon is braced on something, it can free the off hand for a quicker recharging, it is still much slower than any kind of semi-automatic or even fully-automatic firearm.
  • Due to having so much power output in the frame of a rifle, for a long range shot, The weapon, if fired multiple times in quick succession, has a very high chance for the weapon to overheat. Thus warping the barrel, destroying internal components, or the weapon over all radiating heat to an extreme degree that one could not hold it. Even with a radiator shroud to protect hands from touching the barrel, it could become so hot, it would melt plastics, and cause cloth to ignite. This can also cause the weapon to become no longer functional and require extensive work to rebuild it almost from scratch.
  • No stun. Easy as that, Disruptors don't have a stun setting. So either you don't shoot, or shoot to kill. No in-between.
DESCRIPTION
Tarre Priest, a ranger, scout, and sniper within the Mandalorian Enclave is a rather picky man. Preferring to manufacture his own weapons instead of using something that can be given to everyone. While the reasoning could be that if a weapon is made for many people, it can also be made to not work for others. A personal preference in which a shooter can accurately and confidently trust that every shot fired, will be placed exactly where he wanted it. Thus, taking the concept of other Disruptor Sniper Rifles, Tarre set to work on making his own that can be used to extreme ranges, as well as be suppressed as much as possible to allow for sniper duels, and prevent pesky force users from ever seeing where his shot came from.
