GENERAL INFORMATION
Recently elected Senator of Chommell Minor, Cennero Greejatus is a man of many ambitions.
Though his family name has lost its status as nobility, Cennero seeks to restore the honor of House Greejatus and create a political dynasty that will guide the High Republic to a golden age, an age of prosperity and strong, stable government that may just extend to the entire galaxy given time. But Cennero faces an uphill battle, for he is looked at with suspicion for his family's past misdeeds and Imperialist loyalties that the new Senator has done all in his power to disavow. While in favor of a strong central government and powerful military, Cennero is committed to the ideals of the High Republic and the freedoms it safeguards.
But his personal and dynastic ambitions may bring him to ruin.

HISTORY
The History of House Greejatus is long and storied.
One of the first families to settle Chommell Minor, the Greejatus family quickly rose to become local nobility. As the Chommell Sector grew in splendor and wealth, Chommell Minor quickly found itself in the shadow of the far more famous Naboo and the great noble houses that ruled it. House Greejatus was quick to ingratiate itself amongst the grand houses, and together Chommell Minor and Naboo entered into the Galactic Republic as firm allies. It was this close relationship that led House Greejatus and House Palpatine to grow rather close, eventually leading to the black sheep of House Palpatine, one Sheev Palpatine, to be taken into the care of House Greejatus for a time. This is where the future Emperor and one of his longest-serving advisers, Janus Greejatus, formed a strong bond that would last until the day both perished aboard the Second Death Star.
As a strong supporter of Palpatine and a key figure in the Imperial Government, Janus firmly aligned his family with the ideals of the New Order, creating a family devoted to the ideals of a strong central authority and the supremacy of humans over all other beings. While this served the family well during the Empire's reign, House Greejatus would find itself the target of retribution following the Empire's downfall and the Imperial Civil War. Most members of the House backed the main Imperial government over the various warlords, but in the end, the Empire was cast down by the Rebellion it had worked so hard to stamp out. As a result, House Greejatus was brought low, its vast holdings and wealth seized by the new government as repayment for the family's crimes and loyalty to Palpatine. Many offshoot branches of the family were quick to disavow the mainline Greejatus name and take on new noble titles. Still, there remained a dedicated line of Greejatus who remained on Chommell Minor, even if they had fallen into poverty and lost whatever prestige they once had.
Centuries passed and various governments rose and fell, but the Greejatus family remained, slowly rebuilding until it reemerged as a middling shipping and transportation business that served the Chommell sector. It was on this rather small fortune that Cennero Greejatus entered politics following a short career as an adjunct professor of galactic history. He faced an uphill battle, fighting for several smaller local positions before eventually challenging the sitting senator of Chommell Minor for its seat, running a populist campaign of economic renewal and education reform. Ironically, his once-cursed family name gave him a boost in the election as the average voter simply remembered the Greejatus name from their basic education and voted as such. Now Cennero has re-entered politics, initially promising not to restore his family's noble titles, but it is rather clear that the young Senator has ambitions to regain his dynastic status through sheer popularity with the people of his homeworld and the greater republic.
Cennero is a firm Populist, seeking the greatest good for all citizens of the High Republic. This takes the form of a strong central government with increased social safety nets as well as a well-funded and enlarged military. Along with these views, Cennero would be considered a Republican Expansionist, seeking to bring more worlds into the protection of the Republic and an increased focus on external threats, primarily the reborn Galactic Empire and the Sith Order.

APPEARANCE
Tall and slender, Cennero is the cut of nobility, even if his family can no longer be considered as such. Though his family is of middling wealth, Cennero takes great care to ensure he is well groomed and his clothing gives an air of authority befitting his place. In a rebuke to the traditional style of Naboo nobility, Cennero remains clean-shaven and keeps his hair cut short to separate himself from the countless other sons of noble lines.
His sharp chin and often focused gaze make Cennero appear rather intense, but truthfully, he is very soft-spoken and articulate in private conversation. He reserves his fiery speeches and personality for political rallies or intense debates in the Senate.

PERSONALITY
There are two versions of Cennero. One is the politician who used powerful speeches, intense debates, and passionate devotion to the Republic to ensure his election to his position. The other is the more private, reserved scholar who takes comfort in the quiet moments he finds in his study, poring over ancient texts and savoring the rarest of spirits. Still, the heir of House Greejatus is committed to the betterment of the High Republic and will typically offer kindness to those he speaks with; he is also fully capable of great fury and occasional snobbiness as a result of his own ego and a spattering of relatives who had imparted their own personal beliefs on the young man when he was growing up.
As for romantic encounters, Cennero is very much in favor of courtship and finding a partner who is of equal intellect and shares his personal views. He seeks to build a powerful political and noble dynasty; he can't simply marry a commoner.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
+Power of the People: While populists tend to only desire power for power's sake, Cennero genuinely cares for the citizens of the Republic, and he has become a master of rallying the common man to his side.
+Glorious Restoration: Cennero desires his family to return to its proper place and to undo his ancestors' mistakes. Having mastered noble traditions, Cennero does mind many friends and allies amongst minor nobility who would align with his family should their titles be restored.
+Prestigious Education: Though his family struggled for funds at times, they always ensured little Cennero received an education befitting a noble. This plays into his oratory abilities but also gives him an advantage in adapting to current situations, be they debates in the Senate or simple conversations.
-Cursed Linage: Though working hard to clear his family name, many have not forgotten Cennero's ancestor and his role in bringing on the dark times and aiding the rise of Emperor Palpatine. This will hamper future political campaigns as rivals have easy ammunition to use against him.
-Chancellor in Waiting: While appearing outwardly humble, it is very clear that Cennero desires ultimate political power in the High Republic to enact his grand vision. He will do whatever it takes to achieve this power, even if it means bending his ideals and betraying allies.
-Republican Militarism: While none in the Republic would see the government disarmed, few desire expansionist wars. Cennero is one of the few true militarists, and his commitment to expanding the Republic at the end of blaster is likely to make him enemies.
