DESCRIPTION

Following the Atrisia Incident, the Confederate Defense Force decided to increase morale by issuing a limited run of melee weaponry. These swords were forged in commemoration of service for those personnel who served in or assisted with the operations surrounding the taking, protection, and subsequent outbreak of plague on Atrisia. Utilizing the metal songsteel, they were able to carry a decent, balanced weight as well as stand toe-to-toe with Lightsaber wielding foes.

Given the nature of the enemy, and the prominence of lightsabers on the battlefield, this decision was as much practical as it was sentimental.

They serve as both a badge of rank- a reminder of who was there, and who saw the horrors on Atrisia- and a show of good faith to those who might enlist later.

The Southern Systems reward service.
