With The Orion Corporation's profits dwindling, and the recent disaster featuring the SABR-1's the company needed a new product that could be sold on the open market and therefore achieve the profit goals. That's where the CCS-10 comes in. This diverse, multi tool weapon allows the user to be extremely effective in close range combat situations that do not exceed 30 metres. Each magazine can fit 5 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition, these magazines are universal making it easy to purchase them from other manufacturers other than The Orion Corporation. The 12-gauge shells holds 30 individual metal pellets, when fire these pellets travel at high speeds and are immensely hard to block with lightsabers. Even though the CCS-10 is a mag fed weapon, the pump action loader system decreases the fire rate dramatically making the user less effective in combat. Grips can be added to the pump to allow for an easier pullback, this option will cost the buyer more and will not decrease the reload speed by any excessive amounts. The simplicity of the weapons systems reduces likelihood of jams and blockages exceptionally.
