SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Charric blaster bolts utilizing maser-tech
  • Very accurate
  • Electric shock to metallic armors
  • Stun setting (EM-Charge)
  • Unable to be reflected by lightsabers
Strengths:
  • Charric blaster bolts offer both thermal and kinetic damage, and carry enormous impact per bolt - especially against lightsabers or deflecting weapons.
  • Very accurate weapon, due to the improved firing systems of Charric weaponry compared to standard blasters.
  • Metallic armors receive an electric shock with each hit, capable of disrupting the wearer briefly if not protected against such damage.
  • Able to utilize a personal range stun setting, which deactivates charric bolts and utilizes EM-Charges, capable of affecting neurological patterns in most sentients.
  • Charric bolts are unable to be reflected by lightsabers, resulting in increased difficulty defending when under fire from this type of weapon.
Weaknesses:
  • Lessened ammunition capacity compared to standard blaster pistol, due to higher powered bolts.
  • Lessened maximum range compared to standard blaster pistol, due to higher bolt particle dissipation over distance.
  • Insulated metallic armors will not be affected by electric shock per bolt, making that bolt attribute redundant.
  • EM-Charge stun works on a neurological pattern principal, and may require additional shots to bring down bigger opponents compared to standard stun settings.
  • Unable to maintain rapid auto-fire like other blaster rifles, due to higher powered bolts.
  • Recoil is higher than standard blaster rifles, due to kinetic discharge per bolt.
DESCRIPTION

As the Chiss are the creator of the Charric system, it only makes sense for their weaponry to use it. The Heavy Blaster Pistol is outfitted with the same components as it's larger cousin the Chiss Charric Assault rifle, though much more compact to fit in the single handed weapon design. As per usual, the Charric system fires a single, powerful blue beam that uses increased thermal and kinetic energy to blast down those in the way.

Of course, the increased power has it's advantages and disadvantages. Increased recoil, slower firing, less maximum range to name a few of the disadvantages of the technology. Trying to fire above the maximum range is to risk hitting something by accident, leaving many Chiss soldiers to know the range of their weapons and pick the right tool for the job.

But in return the blaster pistol cannot be blocked effectively by lightsabers. The force behind each shot is more than enough to knock most weapons used to deflect them right from the owners hands. They're far more accurate in their intended range, and when striking metallic armor that isn't insulated it will give the wearer a nasty shock.

There is also a nonlethal setting, turning the beam from blue to green and more or less short circuiting the neurological system of most organic species in the galaxy. This of course can only be used in close range, and larger targets might need more shots before they go down.
