Description: This vibrosabre is made special for Nyos Val, to go along with his Cybernetics. To match his limbs strengths, the sabre is made of a Titanium, Tungsten, and Pyronium alloy. The extremely high tensile strength of the Titanium and Tungsten gives the weapon a very high breaking point, also the supremely high melting point of Titanium and Tungsten allows the weapon to trade repeated blows and even lightsabers. The Pyronium mixed into the alloy absorbs all forms of Electromagnetic Energy inside Internal Matrices in the molecules with yet determined limits, when energy is absorbed the metal glows all the colors of the spectrum. The absorptive properties of Pyronium actually make it possible to temporarily disrupt a lightsaber’s current. When contact is made between this sword and a lightsaber, the electromagnetic field created when a lightsaber makes contact with the blade, the Pyronium resists the Electromagnetic Field that allows it to block the lightsaber strike. The pommel houses an energy cell that project a plasma current along the blade. Used only for extreme situations. The Energy Cell lasts about 20 minutes on full power, when just turned on, 10 minutes in combat. The Tungsten in the blade conducts the current, while the Pyronium keeps it from extending past the tip of the blade by absorbing the excess electromagnetic energy produced when the plasma current reaches the end of the blade. The activation button is near the top of the hilt. The vibrosaber is finished in a matte black color.

This is a respectable shot at making an original lightsabre-resistant sword.

When contact is made between this sword and a lightsaber, the electromagnetic field created when a lightsaber makes contact with an object that protects the plasma current, the Pyronium absorbs that energy and causes a short in the cycle of the lightsaber.

The bit here, breaking a lightsabre blade's containment field, might spill plasma all over everything -- or it would act like cortosis ore. I don't think even refined pyronium could just gobble up a blade like that. If you want a cortosis vibrosword, I'd recommend that you do a cortosis dev thread and make one.

Basically, do a dev thread and keep this as is, or cut the blade deactivation bit, just make it a lightsabre-proof vibrosword, and I'll approve it.

I made it heavier because tungsten and titanium are fairly heavy but if you think it's okay then...edited.

@[member="Nyos Val"] - A significant amount of tungsten would make your blade maaaybe twice as heavy, but significantly more brittle. Titanium's fairly light, as it happens. But yeah, bottom line, you're good as is, for balance purposes. Approved pending secondary.
