Description: Arcrystal Arms' CC-2 Particle Repeater is a fast, lightweight and ergonomic blaster repeater designed originally for the company's upcoming Bounty Hunter Guild sponsorship starter kit. It's actual use in the Crystalsong Commonwealth, as the name would imply, was actually an afterthought and the firearms were granted to TCC's Dragoons.
The CC-2 is incredibly light, composed primarily of plasteel and carbon-ceramics on a reinforced alusteel chassis. It functions similar to a blaster with similar manner of components, though it is designed to fire particle bolts as opposed to standard blaster bolts. These projectiles are approximately half as powerful as a standard blaster pistol. It compensates for this with a high fire rate more comparable to a needler. While overall stopping power is limited, especially against armored targets, the small blast effect of particle bolts allows it to sustain damage output on par with most blaster rifles. This also makes it an incredibly effective weapon against soft targets and lightsaber-wielding enemies.
The CC-2 is moderately modular. It has a built-in upper picatinny rail for a broad range of different optics and aftermarket components to be placed, removable bayonet, removable adjusting stock and optional modular angled-foregrip. Also sold is a modular component that allows Blas-Tech's "Plug'n'Fire" power cell to be fitted in the CC-2P's power slot. Alternatively, hi-cap CC-2 cells with an extra 20 shots are also sold.
