Theodore woke up rather early and looked out the window of the place he was currently staying in seeing it was raining. Normally he would be overjoyed at this considerable fact but today was the day he was supposed to work at an outdoor cafe. He quickly rang the owner to find out the go for how things would go down today with the cafe with the owner simply saying they would set up umbrellas over it all.

Theo sighed hanging up and getting ready for work making sure to put on his heavier jumper just to keep himself warm and dry in this weather. It wasn't long before everything was ready as he walked out shutting the door behind him. He carefully walked his way to the location of the cafe he was supposed to be working at.

Once he arrived he assisted the duros owner and a human cook to set up the umbrellas over the chairs. Theo then took off his jumper carefully one of the few possessions that he still had left and placed it in a locker within the stall the cook was working from with the owner waiting at the checkout station and Theo working to give people their food after they had ordered it. It wasn't much but it was something he thought to himself.

Eshan.

Home.

Or—It had been, a time long, long ago. Srina walked newly reconstructed pathways of Eshan City and took note of what had changed since her last visit. There was a comforting silence that had passed through her psyche, born of necessity, and circumstance. The pale umbrella she held took the impact of the rain that poured from the heavens. The Bright Lady weeping, tradition said.

She wore a soft set of dark-gray robes accompanied by waterproof boots. Long white hair fell in braided waves. It wasn’t pulled back as it normally was, moreso, interwoven with curling tendrils. She had returned to Eshan alone this time. After her last meeting with her family and the subsequent confrontation with her mother, Hríwaeg was not a place she would visit for quite some time. In the moment…She just wanted to be home. She wanted to see the familiar alabaster faces. Wanted to see her people go throughout their days. Train. Work. Live.

Srina wanted to see the life she had been denied.

She could never go back to what she had once been. Never. The Exarch of the Confederacy could only move forward, but from time to time, she reflected.

Her aimless wandering and exploration took her to a small café that she had frequented with Tellu when they were young. Srina, came to study tactics and warfare. Tellu came to smile at the pretty female behind the counter. She found herself visiting places that reminded her of her sibling far more often than she would ever admit to. It promoted sentiment. Srina, had none. At least, that’s what the rest of the galaxy thought, and she was content to keep the illusion alive.

The café hadn’t changed. Same location—Same décor.

She left her umbrella by the entrance and headed toward one of the empty indoor seats. Small tables, usually, sufficient for a pair. It…Almost bothered her to be here alone. Without Tellu. But she felt drawn toward it for whatever reason. A waiter droid came over to take her order with automated cheerfulness and Srina chose what she always did. White tea and a sweet scone. Light enough for the day, but, substantial enough to get her through the morning.

Her eyes drifted toward the large transparisteel windows while she waited. Quiet, and distant, while watching the rainfall.

Theodore was carefully serving several guests with their various meals, which were mainly something to do with eggs and toast. Mostly the type of stuff you saw when you went out for a breakfast. He weaved his way through the various tables as he did so careful not to spill anything nor get wet in the current weather. Finally getting it to their table he carefully put down each plate in front of each person and made his way back to the inside of the cafe, doing the same weave and bob he had done when he had taken them out.

The waiter droid was mostly doing inside which he didn't feel was fair given the weather and work load but he didn't have much of a choice as his boss always preferred the droid to be the one waiting inside on customers. Make them feel better like they are important he would say when theo rightfully pointed out that a organic server would actually make people feel more important. However it wasn't long before he was proved right as one very annoyed customer poured his drink on the droid before walking out having already paid for it.

Theo carefully made his way over and moved the droid into an area where it would be out of the way of new customers and allow the repair man who would be on his way to fix the droid in peace. He made his way back to his boss where the duros looked upset, could he fight the duros he would know if he cared which to be fair he really didn't. Eventually the droids last order came out of the kitchen and Theo carefully made his way to where the order had been placed in from.

He arrived placing both the cup of white and two sweet scone down on the table before the echani woman who was staring out the window. "Apologies on the wait, our service droid had a drink poured on it unfortunately. So we would like to give you an extra scone as well as some cream and jam to make up for the inconvenience" He said sincerely placing a small jug of cream and a small bowl filled with jam on the table. He would then carefully smile and make his way back to the desk. His shift was coming to an end for the day as he saw the next person walking in which would mean he could spend the rest of the day doing what he felt like. Whatever that was.
