SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Stylish
  • Provides relief from pain in battle, and high levels of resistance to mentalist Force powers
  • Extremely, comically destabilizing for one's psyche if used repeatedly or for extended periods of time
STRENGTHS
  • While active, the amulet provides its wearer with an exceptional resistance to pain.
  • While active, the amulet provides an exceptional resistance to Force powers which cause hallucinations, alter the victim’s emotional state, or other attempts to manipulate thought patterns through the Force.
  • Amulet is exceptionally durable due to the Alchemization process, and highly resistant to damage.

WEAKNESSES
  • As a creation of Sith Alchemy, the Amulet of Solitude ceases to function (or functions in reduced capacity, in the case of suppression instead of total nullification) in the presence of Ysalamiri, Voidstone, or when placed in any locale in which the Force is deadened or suppressed.
  • Loss of a sense of pain makes accurate assessment of physical injuries difficult in the heat of battle.
  • While active, the Amulet of Solitude renders the wearer incapable of accurately interpreting the intent of those around them; all body language reads as hostile, all speech is interpreted as veiled threats, all attempts at physical contact are assumed to be violent.

DESCRIPTION

The Amulet of Solitude, so titled by the Antiquities staff for its effects on the psyche, is a particularly interesting piece. Originally found during an excavation of a Sith Lord's tomb on the poison-planet Weken, its full history and provenance is unknown, but inferences can be made.
Of note, the Amulet was found still attached to the neck of a Massassi warrior, and not among the rest of the Sith Lord's treasure hordes. This placement, and the placement of the warrior himself (interred next to his Lord, in a place of honor) imply a level of reverence for the wearer - current popular speculation amongst Antiquities employees is that he was either a favored slave or beloved consort. Early theories placed the wearer as a General or other leader of the Lord's armies, but as he was buried with no visible markers of war-honor, this is unlikely.

The function of the Amulet is simple - it renders the wearer highly resistant to both pain and trauma, and grants exceptional resistance to Force techniques which effect the mind. Even an untrained militaman will find themselves shrugging off devastating wounds with only moderate discomfort, and find themselves able to fight through the tricks of all but the most exceptional mentalists. The Amulet also renders its wearer devastatingly, psychotically paranoid. They will hear conspiracy in every whisper, threats in every greeting, and violence in every approach. This paranoia is all-consuming; even beloved friends and loyal subordinates will, suddenly, appear as treacherous wretches, simply waiting for the chance to gut the wearer like a fish.

The Amulet's effects activate when it makes contact with the blood of the wearer, and becomes dormant when the blood dries or is cleaned, or the amulet itself is physically removed.

Nicely made! Please reword the "immunity" words in the sub, we are not accept subs with complete or near-complete immunity.
exceptionally fair, in retrospect. Flew a bit too close to the sun there. I have reworded all instances of text containing the word immunity to instead imply very high resistance, and also toned down a little bit of the pitch in the description.
