<Great! It’s not too far.>
With that in mind, Miri did slow her pace once they were past the starport’s crowds. Graleca’s streets opened up to them, requiring a more lethargic pace to take in the sights. It was a lovely city filled with beautiful architecture. There was a cleanness or purity to it all that wasn’t found on a planet like Coruscant.
<I’m not really used to it either,> she said, her grip on Kyell’s arm loosening. <At least, not anymore.>
She had known what it was like at one point. Spending time with family and friends. There were lingering echoes of grief in her, a sense of personal loss she couldn’t deny. But as she walked in the same place where she had once tread as a child, fond memories came floating to the surface of her mind. She recalled playing on the beach, chasing waves as they crashed into the shore. She’d have to take Kyell there afterwards…
Breaking out of her reverie, Miri glanced at him and smiled. She didn’t say anything at first, but slid her hand into his, her grip gentler than it had been before.
<We just got here, Kyell.>
The restaurant was smaller than she remembered, and not nearly too fancy for jeans and a t-shirt. She managed to secure them a table with a nice view of the ocean.
<My father brought me here when I was a child so that he could study some underwater ruins,> she said, pointing out toward the sea. <There was apparently a whole ancient civilization down there. Nobody knows what happened to them or who they were, only that they were here long before anyone else.>
She paused. <I’m geeking out on you, sorry. Er, what are you getting?>

<T> "But it's been great. You're.... really great."
