SETTING INFORMATION

Structure Name: Ramikadyc'yaim ((Translation: Commando State of Mind Home) | RKYU | CSMH | R.K.’Yaim Uni
Classification: Large University
Location: Mandalore
Affiliation: Mandalorian Empire
Accessibility: Ramikadyc’yaim is located inside the city of Sundari. It is a highly populated university that is full of the Empire’s minds and has some of the brightest, most intelligent scientists and researchers in the Empire. The vast majority of the university is open to the public, particularly the library, stadiums, and various restaurants around the campus.

There are a few select areas that are inaccessible. The dormitories can only be entered by university staff, residents, campus police, and authorized guests. The laboratories that are scattered throughout the campus and underground are typically private and only university, military, and government staff can have access.

There is no military presence on the campus. There are no fortifications which would protect the school from an attack, such as an invasion.

There is private security that is contracted on occasion from private companies (mainly when special/controversial guests arrive on campus), a small campus police force, which is backed by the Sundari police when necessary.

Restricted areas are only accessible by a badge, fingerprint, retinal scan, and a voice recognition by saying a password that is randomly generated every 30 days. Usually, there are guards (with basic equipment) in the restricted areas (primarily at major entrances), but there still is very limited presence unless they are called in for an emergency situation.

Description: The Ramikadyc'yaim is situated in Sundari City, Mandalore. The large campus is easily accessible via hovercraft, public transportation, or walking if nearby in Sundari. Small ships can also dock at the University through a small spaceport that was built into its design. At first glance, an individual will see several large towers and several smaller ground-based buildings.

The largest towers contain the various education departments that make up the university. The only that has a different design and is at the front of the campus a unique design and consists solely of the Horizon Hall of Sciences. It was designed specifically for an interesting architectural design to help inspire students imaginations, creativity, and so forth.

After passing through several large solar panels, there is the Main Hall, Dormitories, some personal offices, and some of the Research Labs that are next to the Horizon Hall of Sciences.

One of the smallest towers is a small spaceport that allows entrance for small space vehicles, most notably guest speakers. Only small craft can dock at the station due to its small size. As such, it is underutilized, however, and there are talks of removing it entirely and simply creating a shuttle between the Sundari spaceport and the University.

Main Hall (Mand’alor the Infernal Hall)

The main hall is a series of connected buildings which house most of the administrative offices, meeting areas, and cafeteria of the University. Oftentimes space within the Infernal’s hall can be rented out to the government, military, or private organizations for meetings, conferences, etc. In the event of a city emergency, it also has the ability to be retrofitted into a refugee settlement with little ease.

Most students and facility will enter this hall every day. It contains a high occupancy auditorium. The majority of its use comes from orientation and when commencement takes place. This is also where guest speakers will speak during special events, although the majority of the time it is not at full capacity during such events.

The cafeteria area is one of the largest areas on the campus. It contains numerous restaurants ranging from different food cultures from all across the galaxy. A major cornerstone of the cafeteria is its diversity and often creates business contracts with various restaurants and eateries around the galaxy to set up a shop in the cafeteria. As such, it is common to see hundreds of people in the cafeteria at various times throughout the day.

Lastly, the Library of Mandalore is located in the main hall. It is an extensive library system that houses hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of books, holotapes, etc that are available not only for students but for Mandalorian Empire citizens. Be sure to return your book, holotape, etc on your due date!

The campus police station is also located on the edge of this building, where students can file reports & get legal advice. If the campus police cannot assist, they will refer the student to the Sundari police.

Almost all areas in the Main Hall, except for private offices, are available to the public.

Dormitories

The dormitory is an extensive area that houses students. Two students can be fitted per room. There is usually between 10-20 rooms per floor & each floor has a communal bathroom, kitchen, and living space.

All rooms come equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave, desks, and a twin size bed. Students are free to decorate the halls as they see fit - provided that they repaint it to its original color once they move out.

Faculty recommends a purchase of a comfortable bed topping before moving in!

Mandalore Hall of Ecology (Department of Ecology, Terraforming, and Sustainability)

The Mandalore Hall of Ecology is at the forefront of ecological research & development. Their primary objectives are to teach students about the ecological/environment of various types of worlds, sustainability. The Hall of Ecology also includes architectural design, sustainable building practices.

Ultimately, the primary goal of the department is to teach students sustainable practices, terraforming of planets, and how to maintain a clean, protected environment on any world.

Horizon Hall of Sciences (Department of General Sciences, Engineering, and Shipbuilding)

The Horizon Hall of Sciences is the department of general sciences, engineering, and shipbuilding. It contains a huge array of classes in general sciences, such as cartography, archaeology (all species), geography, social work, galactic history, etc. There is a large focus on engineering & shipbuilding, as engineering has the highest enrollment at the University.

Warmaster Hall (Department of War Studies)

The Hall of War specifically focuses on war studies. This is to perfect a student who plans to stay enlisted in the Mandalorian Empire or their Clans armies/navies after their mandatory service & education is completed. The Warmaster Hall often collaborates with the other departments of the University to enhance student learnings in different subjects & how to apply them to wartime strategies.

As such, classes are primarily focused on strategy. This includes peacetime defensive strategies, fleeting & ground combat, various ship and weapon designs in the Mandalorian Empire but also across the larger galaxy. It contains classes on different types of warfare - such as guerrilla, defensive, offensive, etc.

A large focus on all classes in this is how to prevent civilian casualty & harm. One of the main tenants of Mandalorian war policy is to prevent & protect civilians. As such, there are several classes geared solely to how spot civilians in a war zone & how to evacuate them.

Hall of Medicine (Department of Biology and Medicine)

The Hall of Medicine focuses solely on biology and medicine. The classes here are focused on multi-species biology. Biology here mainly focuses on sapient life forms and does not take on semi-sentient or non-sentient biology (which is handled in Horizon Hall of Sciences.)

A student who wants to become a doctor, healer, etc will sign up to be part of the Hall of Medicine. Students will about various medicines, vaccines, tests, splicing, research protocols, cloning procedures, etc.

Skirata Hall of Clans (Department of Clan Studies)

The Skirata Hall of Clans is the vaguest one as most of the degrees from this are focused on specific Clans (such as Australis, Mantis, Raxis, Skirata, etc) that are associated with the Mandalorian Empire. As such, classes here can range incredibly as it is specific to the Clan & their corresponding wishes for their courses.

Research Labs

The research labs are the primary area where faculty and staff can research. The labs contain state of the art equipment, tight security in terms of access to them, and trained intelligent staff. The majority of the research in these labs contain engineering principles, ship designs, war strategies, and biology (such as genetics, medicines, etc.)

ac766297cb5c4bb7f954b02381e1f315.jpg

Underground Research Labs

The underground research labs are classified and as such, most people do not know they exist except for top-level faculty, scientists, government officials, and the military. Most research here is contracted by the Mandalorian Empire or the Mandalorian military forces. There is little to no private investment in the facilities.

The labs run underneath the university. Types of research that may occur here are top secret engineering projects, biological projects, and large-scale simulations of various strategies in warfare. The underground research labs are extensively secret. Only top-level people have access and knowledge about the research that goes on under the university. However, all research that is done here is watched carefully to ensure that there would be no effect on the environment, tectonic activity, or pose a hazard to the University or Sundari.

SECURITY

Low.

Ramikadyc'yaim contains a small campus police force to handle campus related criminal matters. However, if the campus police cannot handle or deal with a situation, the larger Sundari City law enforcement will be called in to assist.

There are no military level defenses for the university.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Ramikadyc'yaim was founded at the begin of [member=Yasha Mantis] reign as Mand’alor the Infernal as primarily a research university. The University was commissioned to mark a new era in the Mandalorian Empire - one of growth, rebuilding, and hope after a devastating civil war led to the destruction of Mandalore.

It’s founding resulted in a culture of intense education but also of understanding and empathy. The faculty is trained to assist each and every student and, if necessary, refer them to medical services such as counseling without judgment.

The University construction initially only focused on ecological sciences, such as terraforming but quickly grew into a large, sprawling campus with state of the art equipment and an extremely intelligent workforce (and student population!) Once the Mandalorian Empire realized how quickly the investment was paying off, the government began credit infusions to help grow the student and faculty body. Organizations, companies, etc quickly dived into the University as well - offering special employment slots for graduated students.

The University was safely situated in the capital city of Sundari. Construction was quick and enrollment quickly increased as students, especially those displaced from Mandalore, tried to return to the planet. Many Mandalorian citizens from poorer planets found an opportunity to get into the University and find themselves in Sundari. Regrettably, the Ramikadyc'yaim turns away more applications than it accepts now due to the popularity of the campus.

Most importantly, a student who graduates from Ramikadyc'yaim are prepared for the workforce, military, or government service and are trained at the highest level possible.

The other 10% is the polar regions, which is quite cold.

Primary Terrain:Jungle Rainforests, Forests, Grasslands, Hills, Mountains, with some tundra in the transition to the polar regions. Also, the planet has a very large ocean and several lakes, including the Sea of Translucency.

Atmosphere: Type I

LOCATION INFORMATION

Capital City: Cadelae City

Planetary Features:

Dremulae contains a variety of different features and is very heavily divided between the urban/city areas while the majority of the planet is rural or wild (in part due to strict environmental laws.)

The planet has a fairly urbanized population, with a very low rural population rate. As such, most of the population is concentrated in several major cities.

The two moons are barren, but have some minor mineral resources. Likewise, there are a few abandoned mining facilities. There is also several ruins, major cities, and previous tourist hot spots that are ripe for an archaeologist. Interestingly, previous refugee settlements use to be inside tourist hotels alone which provide a rich resource.

The planet also features a unique planetary ring that is visible from the planets surface. While there is no bases or such, there is plenty of individuals who try to see if there is any salvage or minerals in the rings.

Major Locations:

Cadelae City: Cadelae City is the capital of Dremulae. large, crowded, and heavily metropolitan the city holds the most people and the most industry. It is the star of Dremulae and is situated in an area that allows easy access to mountains, ocean, and jungle. The city also boasts one of the largest spaceports on Dremulae and is the primary port of entry. (Image 3 | Image 4)

Quantapharma HQ: The largest pharmaceutical company on the planet. Quantapharma hosts a variety of drugs, medicines, but mostly are research oriented. They do expeditions for plant life on other planets, research to ensure the drug works for whichever disease, and to find either a vaccine or cure for said disease. It also provides tremendous amount of charity to organizations on Dremulae. (Image 5)

Sea of Translucency: The Sea of Translucency is a beautiful, expansive sea. It is nearly perfectly clear, is teeming with biodiverse life ranging from plant and fish life. It is described as one of the most beautiful places in the galaxy and is famed galaxy-wide for its transparent waters. (Image 8)

City of Dreams: One of the largest cities on Dremulae, the City of Dreams is situated along the coast of the Sea of Translucency. This city contains a large entertainment industry, producing some amazing holo-movies & T.V. shows that are known all across the galaxy. (Image 7 | Image 10)

Resort Lane: This is a large suburban area of City of Dreams. It features a large amount of Resorts, and is the number one area where tourists stay at during their vacation. There is also a 'Resort City,' which is one very large resort that was built prior to the Gulag plague that had converted into a tiny, Resort city with several thousands of people. (Image 6)

Clan Cadera Quarters: Founded in 735 ABY, during the Gulag plague, Clan Cadera Quarters (CCQ) is home a close run up for a coveted top populated spot on Dremulae. The quarters hosts a full city, but almost all are exclusively Clan Cadera Mandalorians. This also contains the headquarters for the Dremulae Planetary Police Force (DPPF,) with several amounts of property decided to training the force. (Image 9)

Cerevintine Metropolis: Another major urban center on Dremulae, this city contains the most diversity of species with a large non-human population. It also contains many of the smaller industries and is a heavy producer of artwork. It is also the botanical 'capital.' Extensive amounts of land are used for farming a variety of different plants, herbs, and medicine, etc. (Image 2)

Rainforest of Agiveronie: A large, protected rainforest on Dremulae. The area covers nearly 20-25% of the planet. It is entirely protected by Dremulaen authorities. There are tourist designations on the outskirts, along with small tours that are heavily regulated by the planetary government. For the most part, though, it is entirely untouched, full on, safe ecosystem.

POPULATION

Native Species: Mammalians, reptiles, avian, insects, etc that evolved naturally on the planet. (Note: this will be worked on with specie subs over time)

Immigrated Species:

* Human (60%)
* Eldorai (11%)
* Wookie (10%)
* Gurlanin (7%)
* Twi'lek (5%)
* Zabrak (5%)
* Other (2%)

Population: Moderate - 2 billion, 1.5 billion which is congregated in 6 major cities. Nearly 57.3% of the population classifies themselves, to some degree, at Mandalorian.

Demographics: Dremulae is a very open, tolerant society. This is due to its history as first a luxury, resort world - bringing tourists from all over the galaxy, and then subsequently its offer of asylum and safety for refugees during the Gulag plague.

* Human (60%)
* Eldorai (11%)
* Wookie (10%)
* Gurlanin (7%)
* Twi'lek (5%)
* Zabrak (5%)
* Other (2%)

Primary Languages: Basic, Mando'a

Culture:

Dremulae used to be a resort world - beautiful, exotic, full of the rich, wealthy, and to be frank, corrupt. While still beautiful, and with a still significant tourist industry, the culture has dramatically shifted from its historic roots.

The majority of Dremulaen's value freedom, hard work, and individualism but within a team building capacity. There is a sense of collective goodwill among the natives and those who immigrate here.

Due to the medical industry that now exists on the planet, many of the individuals here have developed a sort of empathy for life. Society, education systems, and generally cultural views hold empathy for life to be paramount. As such, there is heavy recycling, strict environmental regulations, and generally people are described as 'happy' and 'kind.'

Likewise, the culture tends to be fairly open and relaxed. Individuals are expected to follow planetary law and respect the privacy of others. There is fairly liberal work laws, including mandatory lunches, paid time off, sick, etc. This all ties into this culture of respect and empathy for life. Work hard, but family and life outside of work is paramount.

Artistically, many of the arts and crafts done are representative of the beautiful planet - the soaring mountains, the deep jungles, or the beautiful blue oceans and seas. There are some sporting events, mostly that do with water though.

Religious attitudes are pretty relaxed. Most of the population has an idea of the Force, with several different sects practicing their own version. There is those who worship Naboo, or the Epicanthix pantheon, etc. So long as a religious belief does not effect another person, it is usually safe to practice.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY

Government: Republic

Affiliation: New Republic, Clan Cadera

Wealth: High - Due to a high tourist industry and large medical exports, Dremulae has fairly high wealth that is distributed mostly back to its citizenry in the form of healthcare, education, arts, safety, etc. This is particularly true due to the number of Clan Cadera members, who often bring in wealth from outside the planet.

Stability: Medium - Dremulae had a very rough period during the gulag plague but the experience has left the remaining citizens confident in their planetary government. As such, most citizens of Dremulae follow the rule of law & tend to discourage rule-breaking. Most crimes on the planet is from teenagers & petty crimes, such as shoplifting or vandalism.

Freedom & Oppression: Fairly Free - Dremulae prides itself on the hard work, individualism, and creativity of her people. As such, the people tend to be very free in what they can do. However, the planet does have regulations ranging from banning certain drugs, protecting the food supply, inspecting incoming freight & tourists, etc. Essentially, what needs to be regulated to keep citizens safe will be regulated while the population generally has large amount of freedoms.

MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY

Military: Small - Dremulae is not a military world and has never strived to be one. Dremulaen's serve in a 1 year service for the planetary government upon their 18th year (or whichever year of human equivalence.) This may not be combat, but they will be trained how defense.

The primary military is the Dremulae Planetary Police Force (DPPF.) It functions almost solely as a civilian enforcement agency, but has a requirement to defend against hostile invasions. They are strictly defensive and only if the planet gets invaded a hostile force.

Technology: Galactic Standard

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Dremulae was discovered thousands of years ago during the first Galactic Republic. Situated in the deep core, it was likely that it was one of the first planets settled as colonists began to explore the galaxy.

The planet was tamed by colonists particularly fascinated by its beauty, such as the Sea of Translucency. By the time the planet really got developed it had a large, thriving tourism industry that was likely unmatched at the time by other planets.

The planet remained fairly unscathed during the early crisis, such as the rise of the Galactic Empire and the Vong Invasion. Many at the time may have called it a very good luck streak. Untouched by the galactic instability and the outer galactic threat, the planet managed to continue to have fortune.

Sadly, this luck would end as the Gulag plague ravaged the galaxy. The planet was one of the worst hit, losing a huge chunk of its population. The planet had no real system in place to scan for medical symptoms in incoming tourists, and with so many arrivals - many who had the plague, or were carriers, easily got onto the planetary surface where it spread like wildlife due to the extravagant lifestyle of the planets inhabitants and tourists.

It was quick and brutal. The planetary government nearly collapsed, although as a state of emergency was declared, power was concentrated into the governor's office. This led to strict reforms, a near complete shutdown of her borders, a mandatory health screening (which exists to this day,) and lots of paperwork. Alongside, though, they took in a heap of refugees who weren't infected by the plague. People who fled collapsing governments, burning worlds, etc found a home in Dremulae. Assuming, of course, they passed the health screening.

Due to the mass abandonment of resorts, many of these resorts became defacto cities. Hundreds, up to thousands, of people ended up living and farming around the resorts with several such towns still in existence to this day. The ones that weren't kept for tourism, or were not re-purposed as large one building cities, were refurbished into medical research centers and industry production.

As the gulag plague slowly came to end, the restrictions on entering the planet (aside from those seeking refuge status,) were lifted. While medical exams are required, the individual is rarely turned away and usually hospitalized for treatment and then can begin their usual vacation or head home. Once the plague had mostly ended, the tourist industry really began to thrive again, along with the previously extinct entertainment industry.

In the present time, the planet continues to promote its tourism, its medical industry, and its entertainment industry. While Dremulae has switched hands of the galactic powers that be, it remains strongly unified on the planetary level. While the Gulag plague did a horrible thing to the galaxy, it also brought together and made Dremulae into the culture it is today.

1 large, long asteroid belt with various minerals that are in between Issadine (4th planet) and M45-a 95th planet.)

Issadine has an orbital period of 26.5 hours, and rotates the sun every 439 standard days. 2 moons orbit every 26 hours, while the other orbits every 36 hours.

Location:

Major Imports:

Agricultural products
Cosmetic/Luxury items
Medicine

Major Exports:

Cute flora/fauna
Durasteel
Circuitry
Electronics
Textbooks/datapads, especially Anthropological Knowledge

Unexploited Resources:

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION

Gravity: Standard
Climate:Temperate
Primary Terrain: About 50% of Issadine is covered in some form of ocean (large body), with about another 20% in the form of lakes, rivers, etc.

There are 4 (Cosimia, Kaira, Rosabel, and Caten) major continents. Three are in the northern hemisphere and tend to have fairly temperate climate conditions, minus mountainous altitudes which results in colder climate. Continentality is a huge factor in these three continents - the further in land, the more extreme the temperatures are. There are no desert/arid areas on any of these continents, with only a sliver of jungle life near the equator. Nearly 95% of sentient life lives in the northern hemisphere, with the 4th mostly coded as reserves by planetary law.

The 4th continent (Caten) is in the southern hemisphere. The northern half is full rainforest/jungle. Extremely humid, with extensive and fairly harsh storms. The middle portion is separated by a large mountain range, some of the highest peaks on the planet. This has blocked the southern portion of the continent from receiving rain, and as such is mostly a large, arid desert with some savanna's mixed in.

Atmosphere: Type I

LOCATION INFORMATION

Capital City: Cosimia

Planetary Features: Rural to Urban, tribal ruins/tribal villages, unexplored regions.

Major Locations:

Cosimia: Cosimia is the center of all government and bureaucracy of Issadine. The center of the planet’s government rests in quite literally the center of Cosimia. Settled on a coastline of the Cosimia continent, the city overlooks a beautiful ocean with a large temperate forest laying around it. The city is an industrial and commercial powerhouse, with several large spaceports built around the city.

Caranthyria City: A large metropolis city that hosts most of the planet’s military production, the city rests at the base of the Annes Mountains on the continent of Rosabel. The city has access to an immense mineral deposit of durasteel which is used for a variety of industrial purposes, although most go to building & creation of a defense fleet & a well armed planetary military. Per planetary law, Caranthyria can only produce military items for Issadine and not for international organizations/nations/corporations, etc. However, the law has a huge disdain in the city. Perhaps soon it will be repealed.

Verenity Reserve & Safari: The famed safari of Issadine. The safari can last anywhere from 7 to 24 days, and is carefully planned by guides. It starts in Catenfall, with a quick visit into the rainforest before venturing into each of the northern continents. There are several hotel lodges to stop at each night so visitors can relax and enjoy the beautiful environment free of city life.

Catenfall: The only organized, government run/protected city on Caten, Catenfall is at the very tip of the Southern continent. With several million people calling it home, the entire city is under a careful dome to keep insects and other unwanted critters out of the city. The city sponsors several expeditions into the rainforest and even into the desert to better understand the climate and processes of the planet, and perhaps to find a peek into the evolutionary history of such a strange world.

Ismaria: A smaller settlement on Kaira, Ismaria hosts the University of Issadine, one of the most prestigious, state owned universities on the planet. A center of learning, with an international reputation for it’s anthropology & xenostudies programs, the university remains a steadfast piece of Issadian heritage and future.

Valle Crucis: The third largest city on Issadine, Valle Crucis was founded after the Crucis moon incident. The location of the city allows a great view of the small, fractured moon during its orbit on the cities side of the planet. It also features most research on the moon, along with several monitoring posts in the city to watch the moon in the event of breakage, etc. This city also produces a huge percentage of the electronics and circuitry for the planet, most of which gets exported.

Lyra: One of the largest cities on Rosabel, the city of Lyra hosts the most unique arts and crafts. It is one of the few cities where it’s citizens hugely support arts. It also is one of the main cities during planet wide celebrations - the city practically shuts down during these large festivals and gatherings, resulting in what can best be described as a city wide party (and a doctor's worst nightmare.)

Stronghold of Aru: The main military command, situational about 30 minutes from Caranthyria City. The Aru Stronghold holds all important military command centers, operations, and houses the Planetary Police Force Academy. All military training occurs here as well, along with most military decisions.

Rainforest of Zari: The large rainforest that covers the northern part of Caten continent. It is extensively protected, with only research expeditions authorized. Regrettably, due to the isolation, several pirates and other bandits have set up small towns (usually less than 50, as the climate doesn’t permit much more without serious issues.) These settlements are occasionally hunted by the Issadine Planetary Military Force, however, once the military accidentally eliminated a small tribal species. The incident sparked a huge conversation & the need to be very careful in the rainforest.

POPULATION

Native Species: Variety of flora/fauna that have evolved naturally on the planet (will be subbing them over the next few months.)

Immigrated Species: Humans, Sephi, Twi'lek, Zeltron, Zabrak, Gamorrean

Population: Moderate - 3.5 billion

Demographics: Issadine is fairly tolerant of other species. There is some nationalism, in the sense that offworlders are sometimes seen with suspicion.

Human - 60%
Sephi - 20%
Zeltron - 8%
Zabrak - 7%
Twi’lek - 3%
Chiss - 1%
Gamorrean - 1%

Primary Languages: Basic, Sephi

Culture:

Society: Issadians are generally described as vehemently loyal, hard working, but also intensely passionate and generally friendly. They are fairly neighborly, even with outsides except with some of the more isolated communities. Prior to the fall of First Order and the general chaos that has erupted in the region, the inhabitants used to even leave their doors unlocked. Likewise, while many do not prefer monarchy, democracy, or another form of government, there has always been a spirited ‘freedom’ ideology within the population.

Daily Life: Most citizens of Issadine work 7 hour days, 4 days a week, with a fairly long relaxation time. The planetary government wants to continue the planet’s growth, really pushing a work-life balance with a strong family focus. This has resulted in very friendly labor laws, along with heavy social policy & spending.

Religion: A large variety. Many worship the Force, some have brought outside religions such as Naboo and Corellian religious systems, etc. Any individual is free to worship whomever and there is almost zero religious discrimination despite their being innumerable churches scattered throughout the city.

Entertainment: There are a variety of bars, pubs, and general festivities to participate in throughout Issadine. Likewise, the planet has a love for festivals and fairs - often having a couple a month, enjoying large, happy celebrations. It often brings in a fair amount of tourism despite its frequency. Plus, the hovercart food is to die for!

Arts: There is a lot of controversy regarding art on Issadine. Many feel it is a worthless passtime, with so much of the galaxy already focused on it. But the small, niche communities in the cities prove there is a valuable, unique, arts and crafts community on the planet.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY

Government: Temporary Council, made up of 10 business, military, and civil leaders.

Affiliation: The Eternal Empire of Zakuul

Wealth: Medium

Stability: High - In northern continents, low in the south continent.

The 3 northern continents maintain a high standard of living, a robust social services system, along with a paid jobs program. This has resulted in fairly low crime, general satisfaction with the government, and fairly high stability.

The southern continent is essentially a ‘no man’s land.’ There is little government presence, except through outposts. The continent is mostly designated a reserve, but pirates, brigands, and the like often find refuge in the northern jungles or in the southern desert where they can thrive albeit weakly.

Freedom & Oppression:

While not a democracy, the population of Issadine is fairly free. They have rights to property, to smaller city elections, and free trade. While there is a heavy presence of the government, it is mostly social assistance and less regulating their lives.

There are fairly strict regulations in going into rural areas/wildlife areas, especially in areas where tribal species are developing. These areas are highly restricted and to preserve such a young species development, it is almost always a shoot on site type of restriction. Likewise, development is carefully planned to ensure the encroachment into natural space is carefully planned.

MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY

Military:

[ Describe the military capabilities of this planet. Is it completely demilitarized? A fortress world complete with heavy defenses? A space-faring world with a substantial navy? Is it a hive of scum and villainy with no discernible defense structure other than what it's inhabitants have to offer? Or maybe due to low tech the people here are still in the bronze age. ]

Technology: Galactic Standard

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Issadine. A beautiful, blue-green orb that floated in space with her three moons. The planet was originally settled by humans at an unknown date several thousands of years before the Battle of Yavin, likely due to its temperate climate and beautiful oceans.

The planet has had an odd evolutionary history with theories ranging from a higher midichlorian count in the biosphere, to prior intervention by celestials, to wild, crazy rumors. There are several semi-sentient species on the planet, more so than an average planet. There is at least 4 different species that have exhibited some form of sentiency, although still in a very tribal state.

The planet also hosts some very, according to galactic standards, cute animals. Adorable, even. The ‘cute’ aspect became a major tourism boost for the planet over the thousands of years, with a specialized safari ride that brought individuals through a long, multi-day viewing of a variety of the most adorable critters the planet has to offer.

Of course, while not fully well known to people outside of Issadine, the planet also holds some very noble, terrifying, and even nightmarish creatures as well. Most sentients say, though, that even the darkest looking species has a charm, a special type of beauty to it.

The third moon, Crucis, is cracked in what looks like a Y. Fairly destabilized, and only held together by the Issadine’s gravity, the moon is carefully watched. The moon had various mining stations on it for mineral extraction, however, the initial colonizers got a bit too greedy and nearly destroyed the moon - and the planet in 105 BBY. It was then that Issadine began to implement many of its environmental laws which slowly brought about the first Issadine cultural value.

Besides it’s tourism, the planet remained relatively hidden from the various governments that occupied it. Issadians knew the risks of getting caught up in galactic wars and what could devastate their beautiful, adorable ecosystems. There was too much risk, after all. When Alderaan was destroyed, and the knowledge of the Death Star came to be, the constitution of the planet itself was changed to try to shrink its influence in the galaxy at large. They had already almost destroyed their planet by accident - they didn’t want a powerful power to come and purposefully destroy such a rare creation in the galaxy.

It just wasn’t worth the rewards, or so the old government said. With that in mind, the people tried to keep their heads down even as the First Order collapsed.

But with the First Order collapse and the ensuing chaos from the Sii-ruuk, the Issadian Prosperity Council formed in hopes of protecting and continuing to create a prosperous future for all Issadian. What required was a reformed planetary constitution, a new way of governing, and perhaps a new faction to associate itself with for its defense & growth.

Perhaps it was time for a stronger, more international Issadine. It was clear they couldn’t rely on past governments.
