DESCRIPTION
The saber was originally carried by Cassiane's grandfather and remained within House Damaris as part of the family's collection of heirlooms. Its exact origins are no longer completely documented and the weapon predates Cassiane's generation by several decades. Cassiane did not inherit it unchanged, she took the saber apart and rebuilt much of it herself. The original weapon was worn and very used by the time it reached her hands, howsever the version she carries today is clean and carefully maintained for her own preferences. Only the core character of the old weapon has been preserved. Its kyber crystal has a very uncommon amethyst hue, a color that is thought to be associeted with the the Damaris who wielded the weapoin, having aa specific temperament and philosophy.
The saber shows Cassiane's approach to combat. Its balance is better for deliberate footwork, quick changes in direction and precise strikes. It is not madee for brute force or more aerobatic, strength powered forms of combat.
