Description: The Carnage-class is the latest ship to enter the Primeval Fleet and armed to the teeth with mass-driver weaponry. Based on the Mendacity-class corvette, this heavy frigate was originally designed to replace the deluge-class frigate as the primary assault ship of the fleet but due to design flaws resulting in fixed weapons the Carnage-class was repurposed to less demanding roles and produced in less numbers. Instead this warship is primarily used for patrols and exploration, occasionally supporting larger fleet operations as an escort ship. Despite having a small armament the mass-drivers are particularly effective against capital ships; making this frigate a dedicated anti-capital frigate amongst its other roles. The Carnage-class is also capable of entering the atmosphere making it a suitable invasion ship to support landing craft.
