Other:

EMP - Average

ION - Low

Special Features:

Strengths:

Carbon Nanotubes: Being made from CNT's, these Muscle Fibres are extremely resilient

EMP Resistance: CNT's make for useful EMI Shielding. Under minor EM interference, CNT's can remain functional and even mitigate the effects to the rest of the Droid. Nuclear EMP's or other High-Intensity EMI's can still damage the CNT Fibres and render them temporarily useless.

Weaknesses:

Conductive: Relying on Electrical Power to operate, if blasted with Ions, they will be carried to every major location of the body in which they are used.

Description:

Used in Emergence droids as an artificial alternative to Muscle Fibres, CNT Fibres are Flexible, EMP Resistant and Lightweight. Being one of the strongest materials known, CNT Fibres offer superior resilience against Kinetic-based stress such as pressure and tear. With perfect flexion and strength, CNT Fibres offer unrivalled range and rate of motion along with terrifying strength.

Why use CNT's? Having long since mastered mass-production of CNT's, they can be seen as a superior alternative to Muscle for a variety of reasons, notably their high resilience and conductivity. Although the latter is a debatable advantage.

On the molecular level, CNT's are made up of repeating Carbon Atoms that are bonded to three others, with the maximum bonding number being 4. With three full spaces, CNT's require large amounts of energy to be broken due to the strong inter-molecular forces. This makes these fibres extremely resilient to Temperature and Kinetic Stresses.

The lack of a 4th Carbon Atom and the unique molecular structure of Graphene (CNT's are just rolled Graphene) allows for a layer of delocalised electrons. Whether this is a benefit or bane depends on its use. In Emergence droids, these are used as Muscles. This allows these Muscles to be Electronically Stimulated, allowing for easy and straightforward engineering. However, when placed on the battle field, that layer of Electrons opens space for Ions. If subject to an Ion Discharge, these Ions can easily carry themselves throughout the entire body, quickly deactivating the Droid temporarily.

Please make sure that you use the whole template even if it is none. So please add back in Primary source.

Your strength and weaknesses counter each other. It's weak to Ion and EMP but one of the strengths is it largely immune to EMPs. Please fix this.

Also you have this as a light material with a very high and a high either please bump a rating down, add a significant weakness or drop the production to limited.

I love this sub and I understand it because I am sciencey. But can you please explain in your description how it works for those who probably don't know what carbon nano tubes do?
