SUMMARY
​

The Caragachi Armed Forces (CAF) represent the combined military might of the Caragachi Enclave. Though historically a small force relegated to anti-piracy, planetary defense, and counterinsurgency, in recent years the CAF has undergone a major overhaul. At the center of the CAF’s expansion is First Marshal FN-999, a legendary ex-Imperial commander and strategic mastermind turned overall commander of Caragach’s military.

The CAF has three distinct and separate branches: the Army, Navy, and Starfighter Corps.

CARAGACHI ARMY

SUMMARY​

The Caragachi Army is the combined ground force of the Caragachi Enclave, responsible for offensive, defensive, and occupation actions on terrestrial surfaces. At peacetime the Army totals only five million soldiers, but in times of crisis or war it can swell to as high as 50 million through conscription. The Army’s specialty is maneuver warfare, gouging deep holes into enemy formations with tank companies before the disorganized enemy is pulverized beneath the advance of heavy infantry.

DOCTRINE​

The primary doctrine of the Caragachi Army is maneuver warfare. To this end, it uses an unusually large amount of tanks, repulsorcraft, and light walkers compared to the armies of most other factions. The role of these agile, hard-hitting vehicles is twofold: tanks smash through enemy flanks and destroy hostile armor while armored personnel carriers rapidly transport infantry divisions across a battlefield.

Notably, the Caragachi Army makes significant use of drones to aid its armored formations in their missions. Scout drones provide an inexpensive way to determine enemy strength, targeting drones transmit live data to gunners, and highly explosive kamikaze drones spread chaos through enemy lines.

The Caragachi Army has two main units - the Regulars and the Stormtrooper Legions.

The Regulars are the core of the Caragachi Army, consisting of around 90% of its members. Though lightly armed and armored compared to the Legions, Regular soldiers fight with ferocity should not be underestimated. Regular divisions have access to an enormous array of weapons, from simple plasma rifles to artillery cannons and main battle tanks. All of the above are often deployed in large numbers to great effect, overwhelming hostile lines with a high volume of lethal fire.

In contrast to the vast quantity the Regulars, the Stormtrooper Legions are few in number but great in quality. Outfitted with the best weapons and armor available to the Army, the Legions include among their ranks shock troopers, commandos, and the famed Urada heavy infantry.

CARAGACHI NAVY

SUMMARY​

The Caragachi Navy is the naval arm of the Caragachi Armed Forces, responsible for defending Caragach, patrolling regional hyperlanes, and deploying divisions of the Caragachi Army offworld. The Navy is composed of five fleets, each centered around a battlefleet consisting of a fleet carrier and a pair of heavy cruisers. The Caragachi Navy’s primary doctrine is power projection, relying on its high-endurance carrier wing to exert Caragach’s influence far from home.

DOCTRINE​

In order to most effectively police Caragachi space while remaining open to excursions into the greater galaxy, the Navy utilizes the doctrine of maximizing power projection. Its main instruments of power projection are its fleet carriers, whose starfighter wings can exert control over an area far larger than that of a similarly sized battleship.
