OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To flesh out the second in command of Caelag's command for use in threads in the coming future.
  • Role: Second in command of Ferrum Sanguis.
  • Links: Caelag Vass, Ferrum Sanguis
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 35
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
  • Species: Gand
  • Appearance: About 1.6 meters tall, stockily built. Brown chitinous body lacking ears (earholes instead), black multifaceted eyes natural for insectoids, and three fingers on each hand. Often donned in robes, as armor is a bit redundant.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Captain Qyerg Atlan
  • Loyalties: Caelag Vass and the Ferrum Sanguis
  • Wealth: No wealthier than any other soldier of his rank, lives rather modestly.
  • Notable Possessions: Possesses a breathing apparatus, Ranger Katarn Armor, Findsman Cloak
  • Skills: Paramilitary trooper, capable leader, experienced fighter and survivalist.
  • Personality: Humble to a fault and willing to downplay their own achievements at every opportunity. Atlan is quite happy to let others take the 'spotlight' while he continues to work unhindered. He views Ferrum Sanguis as a sort of family, and is fiercely defensive of them, particularly Caelag Vass who he views as being unnecessarily harsh on themselves.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: LPD-14 Firebolt Variable Charge Blaster Rifle, Ranger Field Pistol, Combat Knife
  • Combat Function: Calm and collected assessment of the situation, and keeping the enemy at range as much as possible to make full use of the blaster rifle and pistol. When forced into a corner, use of the pistol and combat knife become the primary combat tools, using the knife to defend and find an opening to use the pistol. When disarmed, uses a traditional Gand martial art as a last ditch attempt to win the fight.
Strengths:
  • Piercing Touch: Atlan's hand and fingers are strong enough to, with proper punching technique, pierce galactic civil war era stormtrooper armor.
  • Exoskeleton: Atlan's body is tough enough to endure much more punishment due to his nature as a Gand.
  • Marksmen: As a veteran soldier, Atlan is a capable fighter and accurate with a rifle.
  • Survival: Used to being out and about in the wilds, Atlan is very knowledgeable in survival tactics.
Weaknesses:
  • Oxygen: Incapable of breathing most atmospheres due to nature of being a breathing Gand.
  • Stature: Short stature makes certain things difficult, such as reaching higher places. It also makes him easier to hit in a close quarters fight.
  • Close Combat: Preferring to keep enemies at range he is significantly less efficient in any CQC situation. This is why he prefers to shoot his enemies even at close range, to end it quickly.
  • Speed: Atlan is short. Pretty short indeed. So a lot of people are going to be able to outpace him without much effort.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Atlan's life before coming into contact with Caelag Vass is something he rarely, if ever, discusses. He claims he used to practice the ancient tradition of being a Gand Findsman, something he apparently was quite excellent at as he was granted individuality as a result of his talents, or for some other reason he has not discussed. What is known is that he found the urge to leave his old life, and eventually found his way as a mercenary. He bounced across a number of employers, until he had joined temporarily with the platoon under one Lieutenant Caelag Vass.

At first concerned about her fitness to command, in part due to her blindness, he soon found her to be more than capable in every regard he once had concern over. This lead to him developing a sense of trust and rapport with her, as they both climbed in rank rather quickly, he himself formally joining so as to stay with his commander. When the Lieutenant, turned Colonel, found herself long since left their former employer, he sought her out and eventually found her under new employment, and in charge of a group. Ferrum Sanguis, remnants of her old team, and new recruits. With Vass pulling strings, he was given the rank directly below her new rank of Major, and put in as the second highest ranked officer in her paramilitary troop.

At last with his friend, he would travel any nightmarish realm of the Nether to stay by her side.
