Public Cantonica Canon

With a slight look of surprise, Davik looked over at Hubert. "If you're a licensed mechanic," which, considering the state the young man was in was probably a stretch, "you'll find plenty of work on Canto Bight. But," Davik smiled awkwardly, "it ain't gonna be on the Catscratch." If Hubert wanted to get off this 'rock' then all he needed to do was buy a ticket for the next passenger liner off planet.

There was something about the relationship between a solitary smuggler and his starship. Something you didn't risk by letting some down-on-his-luck mechanic thinker away at an antique like a Lethisk-class Armed Freighter. The parts were too expensive and the engine's rhythm too sensitive to distortion. No, a veteran like Davik repaired his own engines. Whenever he got the parts that fit, anyway.

Then he turned back to Cassel, "I don't like screwing over the Hutt Cartel without at least a taste of payment up front," he replied, not too fond of the idea of running all of this risk and then getting stood up on delivery. Some things cant go back into the bottle, like good Chandrilan wine of Nabooan bubbletea. "So tell you what," he pulled Gentis closer, "Me and Gentis get you that proof, but you source for me the HydroCool Injector tube that I need to fix my hyperdrive." the item was difficult to find for an spicehead with a gambling habit that couldn't leave the South Stretch from fear of being discovered by one faction or another that had an outstanding bounty on him for smuggling, but for an upstanding and not unimportant rich human it was probably as easy as going to a nearby antique dealer in one of the more policed and classy of Canto Bight's neighborhoods.
